The Extra Villain: I Made a Contract With The Dragon Empress!

Chapter 15: Primodium Twin Daggers

"Ahem!" Merlin coughed in embarrassment. "Sorry, Maya. I was just cheering because the awakening is about to begin."

"Is that so? Alright, no problem. By the way, breakfast is ready. Lord Ardhis and Lady Livia are waiting for you in the dining room, and they asked you to come immediately. Young Lady Catrine is also already there. Please hurry."

"Okay! Thanks for letting me know!" Merlin replied as he sat back down on the bed. "I'll get ready and head over."

Maya didn't say anything more, and soon the sound of footsteps faded away from his room.

Yesterday, Merlin had asked her not to come early in the morning to wake him, let alone dress him. After all, his soul was that of an adult, and he felt embarrassed being seen by Maya in a state of undress.

Instead of going straight to the bathroom, Merlin opened the system shop once again to look at the items he wanted to buy.

Although many of them were unreasonably priced, there were still some within his reach.

But as he scrolled through the shop, an item suddenly caught his attention—the Red Dragon Scales Twin Daggers.

"Hm? 99% off? Seriously?" He froze in disbelief.

The twin daggers were listed at 400,000 SP, an outrageous amount. With his current situation, owning them was nothing more than a daydream.

Yet, a discount was clearly displayed on the side, and the previous 400,000 SP had been slashed to just 1,500 SP.

"System, is this real? You didn't accidentally misplace the discount tag, did you?" he asked doubtfully.

"[Of course not, Master! It's a real discount, and you can buy it.]"

Since the system had confirmed it, there was no reason for Merlin to hesitate any longer.

He quickly tapped on the twin daggers, and a "Yes/No" choice appeared before him.

Without delay, he pressed "Yes," and in an instant, his system points dropped by 1,500.

Whoosh!

A flash of blue light appeared in front of him, and two crimson daggers materialized before falling onto the bed.

Merlin carefully picked them up, only to feel their immense weight.

"So heavy!" His eyes widened in shock. "How can I use them if I can't even lift them properly?"

The exact weight was hard to gauge, but it seemed to be around fifteen to twenty kilograms. With his small body, there was no way he could wield both at once.

"[The daggers feel heavy because you are not yet their rightful owner. Bite your finger and smear your blood on both blades. After that, you will feel the difference.]"

The system's words jolted Merlin into action. He immediately did as instructed.

The moment his blood touched the daggers, something astonishing occurred. Both weapons shone with a brilliant red light, and Merlin suddenly felt a mysterious bond connecting him to them.

Moments later, the glow faded, and the daggers looked normal again. Merlin tried lifting them—and to his surprise, he managed it with ease.

"Amazing!" He admired the twin daggers in his hands. "They were so heavy before, but now… it feels like I'm holding nothing more than paper."

"[You can also adjust the size to match your palm. Try imagining the size you want,]" the system instructed.

Merlin gave a small nod and focused on picturing the daggers fitting perfectly in his hands.

To his amazement, the daggers slowly shrank until they rested neatly in his grip.

He was so astonished that words failed him.

Staring intently, he took in their details. Just as their name suggested, the daggers were perfectly identical.

The hilts were black, while the blades glowed a deep crimson. Intricate black lines ran along the edges, giving them a majestic, mysterious, and beautiful appearance all at once.

"System, are these daggers really made from dragon scales?" he asked curiously.

In his world, dragons existed only in myth. But here, within the world of this novel, they were real—dwelling far away on the western continent.

He remembered a part of the story where the protagonist, Abel, encountered them. In fact, one of the heroines was from there: the Silver Dragon Queen, Eldra Morath.

Thinking about how fortunate Abel was to have a dragon queen as a partner, Merlin couldn't help grinding his teeth in envy.

"[Yes, both daggers are indeed made from real dragon scales. You can check their description.]"

Merlin gave a small nod and opened his mouth.

"Status panel!"

[Status]

Name: Primodium Twin Daggers

Rank: ???

Description: The Primodium Twin Daggers are ancient weapons from an unknown era. They were forged with arcane techniques using the finest materials, one of which is Primordial Red Dragon Scales. These daggers are immensely powerful and carry destructive might beyond imagination.

Notes: Only the destined one can wield them. Anyone who tries to forcefully claim them will die under an extremely powerful curse.

"Hiss!" Merlin sucked in a sharp breath, trying to calm his racing heartbeat. "I expected it, but reading the description firsthand… this is terrifying."

In this world, weapons were divided into five ranks: ordinary, rare, epic, legendary, and mythical.

Ordinary and rare weapons could still be found in some weapon shops, though their prices were far from cheap. Epic and legendary weapons, however, were extremely rare and difficult to obtain.

Even if they did appear, money alone wouldn't be enough to acquire them.

And mythical weapons… those were on an entirely different level. They stood at the very peak, often treated as national treasures by great powers—such as the Kingdom of Aldoria, where he was now.

And yet, his weapon showed no rank at all. It could mean only one thing: this weapon was beyond mythical.

Just imagining the kind of power now resting in his hands made his chest tighten and his heart pound wildly.

"Is this really okay…?"
