The Exorcism Began in America.

Chapter 80 Sanford Police Station

About five hours later, Chu Feng's plane successfully landed at the small airport outside Sanford.

"The temperature here is indeed much warmer!" Standing outside the airport gate, Chu Feng breathed out, silently feeling the temperature starkly different from New York's.

"Hello, may I ask if you are Mr. Chu Feng?" A woman's voice suddenly sounded not far behind him.

Turning around, he saw a slender, middle-aged woman in an oatmeal-colored coat.

"Yes, I am Chu Feng. I presume you must be Boris's friend, right?" Looking at the woman before him, who had aged but whose features had only slightly faded, Chu Feng couldn't help admiring Boris's taste.

"Yes, I am Marina. It was I who asked Boris to find a powerful Exorcist. But I never expected he could actually bring you here!" Marina covered her mouth, looking at Chu Feng, her eyes still showing some disbelief.

Chu Feng hadn't expected his reputation to have reached the remote state of Texas. It seemed the fame of America's First Exorcist was spreading wider and wider.

"What can I say, Boris is a friend! It's the first time he's asked for a favor, so I naturally couldn't stand by idly," Chu Feng said. "By the way, let's talk about your daughter. When is she going to report to the police station?"

"Jessica is supposed to report tomorrow night. I've tried to persuade her not to choose the same profession as her father, but she never listens, time and time again... Why..."

"Marina... Marina? Marina!"

Seeing Marina gradually losing control of her emotions, Chu Feng felt somewhat at a loss. He had to call her name a few times to bring the woman back to her senses.

"I am sorry, Mr. Chu Feng! I lost my composure."

"It's okay. I think we should leave the airport first!" To avoid upsetting her further, Chu Feng decided it was best to meet the person involved before discussing things more.

Sanford is a small city, without as many skyscrapers as New York. In a detached house within a common residential community, Chu Feng finally saw Jessica, the person he was to protect: a regular girl with chestnut hair and a prominent nose.

"Are you... Chu Feng? The First Exorcist?" Jessica asked tentatively, looking at the somewhat familiar stranger who had appeared in her home.

"That's right! It's me. Your mother said you might run into some trouble, so... here I am!"

After hearing Chu Feng's words, Jessica's pupils dilated. She quickly pulled Marina, who had just entered, into a bedroom. "Mom, have you lost your mind? Why would you think of hiring an Exorcist? And you even found this notorious money-grubber from all over America? We'll surely go bankrupt!" Jessica paced back and forth in the bedroom, holding her head, clearly finding it hard to accept Chu Feng's arrival.

"Jessica, don't worry. Mr. Chu Feng didn't ask for money this time."

"How is that possible?"

"I asked Boris for help, and it turned out that he happens to be Chu Feng's friend, so..."

"Boris? Mom, are you leaving me to go to New York?"

Marina didn't dare to look at her daughter but still nodded gently. "Yes, it's time for me to start a new life."

Jessica opened her mouth but found no reason to stop her mother from seeking happiness again. "Okay, I understand!"

Looking at her downcast daughter, Marina gently wrapped her arms around her. "Jessica, the police station where your father worked could be dangerous. Don't go there, okay? If possible, don't become a police officer either!"

Jessica pulled away from Marina's arms, turned to face her mother, and said earnestly, "Mom, this has been my dream since I was little!" With that, Jessica opened the door and walked out.

Having already overheard the mother-daughter conversation in the bedroom due to his non-human Attributes, Chu Feng was now leaning on the sofa with his eyes closed, quietly resting.

"Jessica, right? You're starting your new job at the police station tomorrow night?"

"Yes..."

Looking at the girl standing before him in stupefied silence, Chu Feng stood up, stretched, and said, "Starting work in the evening? That means you're directly on the night shift! Well, it looks like tomorrow will be a tough day for me!" He walked over to the girl and patted her shoulder. "I'll come to the police station to find you tomorrow night. And also, what your mother said does make some sense."

After speaking, Chu Feng walked out the door.

Walking on the streets of Sanford, Chu Feng took out his phone and scrolled through it. He soon found an unfamiliar number and dialed it. It's a good opportunity to meet the chief of the Sanford Police Department.

「The next evening at ten o'clock,」

Chu Feng, covered in dust, finally arrived outside the deserted old Sanford Police Station. These days even a police station moves; how inconvenient! Chu Feng hadn't expected that his meeting with the police chief would be at the new station, while Jessica, on her first day at work, had gone to the old location.

Looking at the old police station before him, an inexplicable sense of familiarity emerged in Chu Feng's heart. Why does this police station look so familiar, as if I've seen it somewhere before? Frowning, Chu Feng pushed open the door of the station and walked in.

"Hm?" The moment he entered the station, Chu Feng's Spiritual Perception immediately sensed a bizarre Strength trying to invade his mind and interfere with him. It seems something is definitely wrong here! With a movement of his Spiritual Power, that trivial bizarre Strength was completely crushed.

In the deserted cafeteria of the police station, Jessica was alone. When she heard a noise at the main door, she immediately threw the lock of hair she had just pulled from her mouth into the trash bin. Suppressing the urge to vomit, she ran towards the entrance. "Mr. Chu Feng! I didn't expect you to really come?" Jessica was somewhat surprised to see Chu Feng walk through the door. It was already past ten at night, and she had thought he might have been unable to come due to some matter.

Chu Feng, looking at the approaching Jessica, frowned. "Are you the only one in the station? Also, did you encounter something special tonight?"

"Ah? No, not at all." Jessica looked at Chu Feng bewilderingly as he circled her.

Heh. It's just that you yourself are unaware! As he thought this, Chu Feng quickly gathered a pure ball of Spiritual Power in his hand. With a light tap on Jessica's head, the increasingly dense bizarre Strength swirling around the girl instantly dissipated.

Feeling Spiritual Power enter her body for the first time, Jessica shuddered. When she opened her eyes again, it was as if a burden had been lifted; she felt much lighter.

"How about it, feels a lot better now, doesn't it?"

"Is this an Exorcist's Spiritual Power? It's truly marvelous!" Jessica clearly savored the sensation.

"Alright, now's not the time to reminisce. Time to find the source of the weirdness here!" Having said that, Chu Feng flipped his hand, and an intricate Array Plate appeared in his palm in the blink of an eye.
