Chapter 6 My Sunshine Way Is You
It’s difficult to believe that just moments ago, Jun Leitian wanted to kill Jun Jiu, yet now he surrendered instantly.
Jun Jiu smiled, seemingly unsurprised.
She said, “My yard was burned down by Jun Qianqian. I want a brand new yard, Jun Leitian. You know what to do, right?”
Jun Jiu reviewed her memories, finding nothing wrong, and nodded in agreement.
After wiping the blood off her dagger, Jun Jiu gave Jun Leitian and his daughter a cold glance. “You can leave. Next time, they might not be so fortunate.”
Jun Leitian’s face froze. Threats! How dare Jun Jiu threaten him! But now, Jun Jiu had the strength to back it up.
Jun Leitian secretly clenched his teeth and offered a superficial nod. Then Jun Qianqian, still trembling with fear on the ground, rose to her feet. Jun Jiu halted them, saying, “Wait a moment.”
“What else do you want?”
“The head of the branch family just met the daughter of the main family. Do you know what to do?” Jun Jiu raised her chin slightly and gazed at Jun Leitian with a mocking look.
Jun Leitian’s face twisted for a moment, and he reluctantly lowered his head in salute. “Jun Leitian, head of the branch family, pays his respects to Miss Ninth. Please allow Miss Ninth to permit my departure.”
“Get lost.”
Jun Leitian left angrily. But he failed to notice a silver needle flying into Jun Qianqian’s body. Jun Qianqian’s body quivered, her eyes widened in pain, and her expression contorted. However, when she tried to speak, no words escaped her lips.
Jun Jiu curled her lips. She had promised to cut off Jun Qianqian’s tongue so that she wouldn’t go back on her word.
Jun Qianqian would never speak again in her life. And she would have to endure the burning pain in her body every day. Jun Jiu considered it as helping the original owner exact revenge.
At this moment, the voice in the bracelet inquired, “Master, why did you let them go?”
“This body is too weak. I’ve run out of strength to deal with those lackeys. Jun Leitian is stronger, so it would be a futile effort to deal with him. Besides, I might find a use for him later,” Jun Jiu responded, massaging her arm.
It felt sore and weak. She realized that she needed to take good care of her body, perhaps even train in the ancient martial arts, to regain her strength from her previous life. But in a world with spiritual masters, what good would that do?
Suddenly, a pair of hands rested on Jun Jiu’s shoulders, applying moderate pressure.
The bracelet exclaimed, “Master, that man is here!”
The massage brought Jun Jiu considerable relief. She squinted at the man but displayed no warmth. “Why haven’t you left yet?”
“Little girl, you lied to me. Your name is Jun Jiu, not Jiuyue.”
“…” They were strangers; why should she reveal her real name? She wasn’t a fool.
He seemed to discern Jun Jiu’s thoughts instantly. The man lifted her chin, his golden eyes darkening. “I’m Mo Wuyue. Now we know each other.”
“Oh, pleased to meet you.”
“But Jiuyue is also a good name. It’s like we have each other within us. If we have children in the future, we can name them that.”
Jun Jiu: “?”
Bracelet: “Master, high-level flirting! I want to have a baby with you!”
If it were anyone else, Jun Jiu would have paralyzed his lower body with a single needle. But Mo Wuyue’s appearance… made Jun Jiu reluctantly let him off the hook.
Slapping Mo Wuyue’s hand away, Jun Jiu took a couple of steps back. “We hardly know each other. You go on your sunny path, and I’ll cross my single-plank bridge.”
“But my sunny path is with you.”
Mo Wuyue pursed his lips, his laughter having the power to enchant. “Where you are, there I am. No matter what, you can’t get rid of me.”
