Chapter 1 Holy Hand Jun Jiu
In the year 3075 of the Chinese calendar,
The largest auction in Shengjing was commencing, and the excitement was palpable.
“Five billion Huaxia coins for a single sale! This is an unprecedented high price at the Shengjing auction! And that’s just for one pill! The Holy Hand Junjiu truly lives up to her reputation!” remarked one individual. “A single pill for five billion. Meanwhile, Huaxia Pharmacy sold ten bottles of medicine today, and the transaction price was less than one percent of Jun Jiu, the Holy Hand’s sale,” another chimed in. “I heard that the pharmacy’s president was so infuriated that he even vomited blood. Apparently, he had a bet with Jun Jiu to see who could make more money, and the winner would become the president. Well, it seems he’s out of the race now!”
…
A young woman in a red dress with an air of confidence strolled past a group of people. Hearing their conversation, she playfully raised a sly smile.
The President of Huaxia Pharmacy? She had no interest in such a title.
Indeed, she was the renowned Holy Hand Jun Jiu, the one who had auctioned an elixir for a staggering 5 billion. She had crafted that elixir in just half an hour right in front of the pharmacy’s president. Not only had she won the bet, but she had also left the pharmacy utterly embarrassed.
“Three years of research and my special medicine couldn’t compare to the jellybeans I made in half an hour. I suppose I’m just not very studious. Can you blame me?” Jun Jiu grinned mischievously, took a glass of red wine from a waiter, and turned to leave.
After her windfall, she decided to enjoy herself. Her goal? To savor all the delicacies Shengjing had to offer.
A bright smile lit up Jun Jiu’s face as she envisioned the joyful days ahead. However, as she took her first step, a sudden impact resounded.
Boom!
A fist struck an invisible barrier in front of her, causing blood to splatter from the attacker’s hand. Jun Jiu remained unfazed.
“Damn it! It still doesn’t work,” Jun Jiu muttered, lowering her head and taking a deep breath. She quickly composed herself and headed east with a stern expression.
The last thing Jun Jiu remembered from the auction was her bracelet glowing and protecting her.
When she opened her eyes again, she found herself beneath a cliff, inhabiting the body of another Jun Jiu – the notorious useless daughter of the Jun family in the Tianzong Kingdom. However, her predecessor had already met a grim end, allowing her to take over the body.
Broken bones, internal bleeding, and a concussion – anyone else would have met their end long ago. Yet, after a day of adjustment, Jun Jiu discovered that the cliff was enclosed within an impenetrable transparent barrier.
Her only hope lay to the east of the cliff, shrouded in mist.
“Master, are you ready?” a voice resonated in Jun Jiu’s mind from her bracelet.
The bracelet was her repository for all her belongings and housed a cute little companion. She was grateful it had come with her through the transition, or Jun Jiu would have been heartbroken.
“Yeah,” Jun Jiu replied as she touched her bracelet. An elixir materialized in her hand, which she promptly consumed. “Let’s proceed.”
“Master, please be cautious!”
The mist was indeed a formation. Jun Jiu had dedicated an entire day to deciphering it, and she believed that beyond the formation lay the path to freedom.
However, her hopes were dashed as she exited the mist, finding herself standing before a cave.
At that moment, the bracelet alerted her, “Master, there’s someone inside!”
Someone?
Jun Jiu’s eyes narrowed, a mix of sharpness and coldness gleaming within. She retrieved a dagger from her bracelet’s space, held her breath, and cautiously ventured into the cave. Inside, she discovered gems embedded in the walls, casting an illuminating light on a figure. Jun Jiu was taken aback. It was a man, an otherworldly beauty with silver hair and silver eyebrows, almost resembling a mythical being.
“Master, he’s imprisoned here. There’s no way he can help us escape.”
