The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2200: A new master. A paradox

Cain could not help but clench his fists as he saw another abomination emerging from the Heart of the Root. The creature stepped out with heavy, deliberate motions, towering and monstrous.

Its entire body was carved with sinewy, vein-like patterns that pulsed with a hellish red glow. Its face twisted into a jagged, tooth-filled grin, lit from within by two eerie, radiant eyes.

Every inch of its muscular frame looked engineered for both brutality and precision—each fiber coiled with lethal intent. A fiery aura surrounded it, warping the air, as though the very space around its body were constantly decaying and releasing massive waves of energy. That corrupted vitality radiating from its cells granted the creature an overwhelming physical strength.

A new Champion of the Root had entered the battlefield.

The abomination's gaze swept across Cain and Cipher with raw killing intent before settling on High Lord Godfrey. The moment their eyes met, the creature lowered its head in immediate submission.

"Azruk, go and help the others. I can take care of these two." High Lord Godfrey said with a dismissive and calm tone.

The Champion of the Root nodded without hesitation. A heartbeat later, Azruk flashed through the void, joining Kukulkatz and the others in their assault against the Deus Behemoth.

Cain and Cipher tensed as they watched Godfrey disregard them so casually—so confidently—that he refused assistance from a Champion. The insult stung, but they had no room to indulge in anger. Everything on the battlefield was spiraling out of control.

They barely had time to exhale before High Lord Godfrey blasted forward, his monstrous body exploding with speed.

Cain and Cipher were forced to ignite their energy to its limit, bracing themselves to withstand the High Lord's onslaught. Even if the healing had pushed him back to his base state, Godfrey was still incredibly powerful, and the more they wound him, the stronger he would become.

Every exchange was a struggle just to remain upright.

Meanwhile, the situation for the Deus Behemoth deteriorated rapidly.

He had managed to fight three Champions of the Root thanks to his overwhelming speed and his capability to unleash vast, destructive oceans of lightning. But facing four Champions simultaneously pushed even him into danger. The battlefield around him twisted into chaos.

He dodged a burst of Origin Flames by a hair's breadth, only for a rod of decay to appear directly beside his face. At the same moment, Emprik's blade-arm tore toward his back. With a feat of near-impossible skill, the Deus Behemoth twisted his body, slipping between the rod and the blade—but that maneuver left him open.

Azruk's fist punched into him.

When it came to speed and destructive might, the Deus Behemoth surpassed the limits of the Early Alpha Omega Overgod rank, placing him only a breath away from the Middle Stage—an unthinkable level for a Peak ArchDeity. But raw durability was not his strength.

Azruk's punch made his bones tremble violently, blood spilling from the corner of his mouth as he was hurled through the void.

Emprik did not miss his opportunity. The Champion of the Root shot forward, diving toward the disoriented Deus Behemoth with his blade-arm raised for the kill.

Blood splashed across the void—

but it did not belong to the Deus Behemoth.

Emprik's eyes widened as his severed arm spun through space. The Matrix immediately began dissolving the limb into golden energy, channeling it into the presence responsible for the strike.

Silence fell across the battlefield for a heartbeat as all three Champions turned toward the newcomer.

A woman stood there—a warrior of the Atrox Immortus Race. Her presence was poised and ethereal, her long silver hair flowing like liquid light. Her eyes burned with focused intensity, dark vein-like markings spreading elegantly across one side of her face.

Her armor was reflective and chrome-like, sculpted with minimalistic precision that accentuated her stillness. She moved with a regal calm, as if every step, every angle of her posture, had been perfected over lifetimes. The sword she wielded glimmered with lethal clarity—the weapon of someone who had mastered every stance, form, and strike in existence.

She radiated disciplined, silent power—an unshakable mastery taken to an unimaginable limit.

Emprik barely had time to process the loss of his limb before she appeared in front of him again. Her foot slammed into his chest, sending him skidding backward through the void.

Kukulkatz, Zarin, and Azruk exchanged uneasy glances. They looked down on Emprik, but none of them dismissed the potency of the Gift of the Root he commanded. Normally, Emprik's body was incredibly difficult to injure. He could absorb almost any kind of energy and discharge it afterward.

Yet this woman had severed his arm cleanly. And her kick pushed the Champion of the Root without any form of resistance.

The three Champions turned toward Emprik for an explanation, only to find he had none. The strike had caught him completely off guard, and the kick bypassed his abilities entirely.

There was no form of strength behind it, yet it still managed to push him away. A paradoxical technique, yet devastatingly effective.

The woman of the Atrox Immortus Race glanced at the four Champions of the Root without fear or hesitation. Only focus. Only intent. Then her gaze shifted to the Deus Behemoth—and the moment their eyes met, coldness and distrust sparked between them.

They had never encountered each other before, but the clash of their cultures and heritages created an instinctive dissonance. Still, neither was foolish enough to initiate a fight while surrounded by Root-spawned abominations.

"Two and two." The woman stated this calmly as she pointed her blade toward Emprik and Azruk, and the Deus Behemoth nodded immediately.

Fighting side-by-side would require at least a basic degree of trust—and neither possessed enough of it. Splitting opponents was the only logical path forward.

The battle against the Champions reignited instantly. The forces of the Nine Empyrena Suns Universe took the offensive again.

But even with the tide shifting on one side of the battlefield, things were going very badly on another.
