The Endless Dimensional Path

Chapter 6: Beyond the Rift

The alpha wolf snarled, its glowing red eyes locked onto Leo. The air was heavy with tension as the two adversaries sized each other up. Leo felt a surge of determination; this would be his toughest battle yet.

The alpha lunged with incredible speed, its claws slashing through the air. he dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the deadly swipe. He countered with a swift punch, but the alpha twisted mid-air, evading the blow. The wolf's agility was unnerving, and he realized that this creature possessed both strength and intelligence.

'Stay focused, Leo,' Lin's voice echoed in his mind. 'Use your surroundings to your advantage.' Leo's enhanced mind racing, analyzing the environment and the alpha's movements. He darted around the trees, using the foliage to create obstacles. The alpha was relentless, its powerful limbs tearing through the underbrush as it pursued him.

The battle was a blur of motion. Leo's speed and agility allowed him to land several strikes, but the alpha's regenerative abilities quickly healed its wounds. The wolf's retaliations were brutal, each attack forcing him to push his limits. He leaped over a fallen tree, using the momentum to drive a kick into the alpha's side. The wolf stumbled, its eyes flashing with pain.

he seized the opportunity, delivering a flurry of punches and kicks that left the alpha reeling. But the wolf refused to back down, its jaws snapping wildly as it counterattacked. he dodged and weaved, his senses on high alert as he anticipated the alpha's moves. The fight was intense, with both combatants exchanging blows and neither gaining the upper hand.

'Don't let it corner you,' Lin advised. 'It's trying to wear you down.' he heeded Lin's warning, maintaining his distance and using hit-and-run tactics. He landed a powerful kick to the alpha's chest, sending it stumbling back. The wolf recovered quickly, its eyes burning with renewed fury.

The battle raged on, the two combatants clashing in a flurry of teeth and claws. he's enhanced strength and speed allowed him to keep pace with the alpha, but he knew he couldn't sustain this level of intensity for much longer. The wolf was too powerful, and its regenerative abilities made it nearly unkillable.

Summoning every ounce of his strength, Leo launched himself at the alpha. He delivered a powerful punch to the wolf's head, followed by a devastating knee to its chest. The alpha let out a pained howl, its movements growing sluggish. But the battle was far from over. The alpha mustered its remaining strength, lunging at him with one final, desperate attack.

narrowly avoiding the claws, and countering with a spinning kick that sent the wolf crashing to the ground. Panting heavily, Leo stood over the fallen alpha. It struggled weakly, its life force fading. With a final, decisive blow, he ended the battle, driving his fist into the wolf's heart.

As the alpha lay lifeless at his feet, Leo felt a mix of exhaustion and triumph. The battle had been fierce and bloody, pushing him to his limits. But with Lin's guidance and his own abilities, he had emerged victorious.

Gutting the corpse of the alpha, he extracted the core. There was something quite different about this one compared to the other cores in his possession. Within the glowing crystal, he noticed a dimly lit star, pulsating faintly.

'You're in luck,' Lin said. 'This beast was only half-step into the first plane of the third dimension. If not, with your current strength, it's highly unlikely you could have bested it.' Leo studied the core for a moment, feeling a mix of relief and curiosity. He pocketed the core, knowing it would be a valuable asset in their quest to enter the city.

With the alpha wolf defeated, he took a moment to catch his breath and assess his surroundings. The forest was eerily silent, the tension of the battle still lingering in the air. He knew he needed to regroup with the others and continue their mission.

As he moved through the dense forest, he unexpectedly came across Maya. She was acting strangely, moving with a sense of urgency and purpose. Intrigued, Leo decided to hide his presence and follow her quietly. Maya led him to a rocky area, where the rocks formed a strange pattern. At the heart of the rock formation, there was a rift in space, shimmering with an otherworldly glow.

Leo's eyes widened in shock as he took in the sight. The rift pulsed with energy, its presence distorting the air around it. The rocks seemed to channel some sort of force, their arrangement creating an intricate pattern that resonated with the rift's power. Leo's mind raced with questions. What was this place? And what was Maya's connection to it?

Maya approached the rift, her expression unreadable. The discovery of this mysterious phenomenon raised the stakes of their journey even higher. Leo knew he had to uncover the truth about the rift and Maya's intentions, all while navigating the dangers that lay ahead.

Unfortunately, the shock of seeing the rift made him careless, and his presence revealed itself for the slightest of instances. Just those few seconds were all Maya needed. Facing his direction, she asked cautiously, 'Who's there?'

Knowing that he was already caught, Leo stepped into view. Maya narrowed her eyes, her expression hardening as she said, 'I knew you were one of them.'

Confused, Leo replied, 'One of who?'

'Cut the crap,' Maya interjected, her voice sharp. 'You think I haven't noticed you've been holding back when we fought? And your senses are too sharp for a regular human.'

Maya stepped forward, her gaze unwavering. 'Which family are you from?' she demanded. 'I have my suspicions that you're from an opposing family in the city.'

Leo shook his head, his voice firm. 'I'm not from any family in the city. I swear it.'

After a moment of intense scrutiny, Maya decided to believe him, for now. She took a deep breath and began to explain. 'That rift,' she said, gesturing towards the shimmering tear in space, 'is the result of a battle between a very powerful made god and one of the leaders of the Lunarians. Their battle was so intense that it left a scar, even space wasn't exempted.'

Leo's eyes widened in realization. 'So, the rift is a remnant of their clash?'

Maya nodded. 'Yes. It's a gateway of sorts, but only for those who haven't fully ascended into the dimensional path. Like you and me.'

Leo felt a connection forming between them, a shared struggle and understanding. However, he wasn't ready to fully trust Maya yet. The two of them, united by their unique circumstances, decided to form a temporary alliance.

With a determined nod, they stepped through the rift together. As they passed through the rift, Leo felt a strange sensation wash over him. The world around them shifted, the landscape morphing into an otherworldly realm filled with vibrant colors and distorted shapes. The air crackled with energy, and the ground beneath their feet seemed to pulse with a life of its own.

Dimensions and Their Principles

Each dimension has its unique principles, which don't necessarily determine an individual's strength. Instead, they govern the rules and laws that operate within that dimension. Here's a brief overview of each dimension:

Fifth Dimension: This dimension is characterized by the principles of time and space. Beings from this dimension can manipulate these abstract concepts, allowing for extraordinary abilities.

Fourth Dimension: This dimension is governed by the principle of matter, which is further divided into in-organic matter, organic matter, and dark matter. Beings from this dimension possess abilities related to these branches.

Third Dimension: This dimension focuses on the principle of body, emphasizing physical advancement and body tempering. Creatures from this dimension often exhibit unparalleled physical prowess.

Second Dimension: This dimension is rooted in the principles of technology, knowledge, and rules. It's a realm where theories and speculations come alive, giving rise to variant abilities like death, life, order, and chaos.

First Dimension: This dimension is defined by the principles of creation and destruction, energy, and source. Beings from this dimension are unique, existing as pure consciousness and energy, and have the ability to form energy.

Dimensional Planes

To illustrate the concept of dimensional planes, consider an analogy: each dimension is like a cinema, with the principles within being the movies played. The planes, ranging from 1 to 9, represent the seats in the cinema, from the back to the front. The higher the plane, the closer you are to the screen, and the faster your comprehension and progress.

In this context, the planes don't necessarily determine an individual's strength, but rather their level of understanding and progression within their respective dimension. The 1st plane is like sitting in the back row, while the 9th plane is like sitting in the front row, with a clearer and more immersive experience.

i hope this clarification helps to deepen your understanding of the novels universe's dimensional structure. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.
