Chapter 24: A stranger back on the road
He was once again floating in this numb void. Portals showing him the glimpses from before, perhaps welcoming him to go in and see what lies in the levels. After a while of just floating in a straight line, he heard the dim music of level 5. A music he enjoyed.
"A hotel...?" He was thinking about an idea which slowly emerged from the back of his mind. With a question. "Can i actually do it?"
He had nothing to lose, so he focused his mind in visualization, one of a hotel, just like the one of the gentleman on level 5. After a bit of pushing himself into believing it. The void began to shift, Into a range of corridors with numbered doors, some opened some closed. Only those that he had visited were opened. As if he subconsciously chose this.
The interior was beautiful, but kind of boring... Bland... He wondered how he could fix that, but there was no answer to that... At least not yet. There was nothing fixing those halls. He went to the last level he was, which was level 48. But now he was forced to walk to ground 48.1 once more.
But this wasn't his priority now, he has seen their private grounds. Which they seem to value, even if he wasn't there to take them away. He had the capability to destroy the entirety of the backrooms. But he never intended of doing so, because it is his home... Him.
He began walking into the jungle before reaching out to instinctively activate his phone, but it wasn't there. Perhaps it was lost between transitioning from a body to another body, The only possible cause.
A new exit, to unlock another level within his Hall of choice. He felt nice that he found a name for his creation by seeing what it's purpose was. But still it saddened him how he was still incapable of finding his own name.
"Am i missing something with the meaning of a name?" He asked himself while walking through the jungle of level 48 in attempt of finding another exit. "Yeah... Definitely..." He said with such an ignorant tone as if it didn't had meaning. He nodded to himself in agreement as he began to search for a name to call himself. But to no avail, random names without much meaning for him.
"Definitely missing something." He smiled to himself as if it was a joke and continued on.
After a few minutes of nothingness, with the supporting hours of walking from before. He finally found one of the exits. Which was the one to the mysterious level 121. Without awareness of where he would end up. He swam down to the floor of this small lake. And when he emerged back up. He was in a different environment. The sunset was gone. Exchanged for another beautiful view of a pure blue sky. With large formations of clouds, which only extended the enjoyment of what was present.
He swam towards solid ground and once there, even if he was soaked. He began walking away, in hopes of finding another exit.
He hasn't read anything in the wiki about this level. And wasn't sure of what to expect, but he was already too powerful here. If he is prepared to noclip through an attack he is practically untouchable. So without much of a sense of direction. He was back on his way of finding more.
This place brought him peace the nature was beautiful. And there was nothing that was trying to hunt him.
It was just him walking...
And walking...
And walking...
Until he tripped as he was about to reach a clif side which lead to the ocean below. And falling down, hitting himself on a few rocks, with some luck missing his head several times. It was painful, but he was more bothered about surviving that fall than anything else right now. Perhaps noclipping through the water. He was about to hit the water front first with high speed, until he decided it wasn't worth the risk and instinctively noclipping through the water.
Which has made him travel to yet another level, Level 85. The home of a little whimsical creature, that was totally not capable of sinking that ship he was seeing.
He had some trouble swimming normally. He wasn't a professional and it was quite new to him. He simply did as his instincts demanded him to do what they told him. Just wave your limbs like that and breath so you can stay above water level. But it didn't apply here, he was submerged and was met with a hull right above him which he needed to get around so he doesn't drown. So he quickly began flapping his arms and legs underwater and slowly made his way to the side of the ship. Which had a ladder that he climbed without much of a problem. And was greeted by a few people. He was happy that they were welcoming, and waved back as a friendly gesture, before turning around and looking over the vast ocean. In the distance he could see a large head with eyes looking straight at the boat. But it was all it did. Just swimming in the distance.
It didn't seem to near as he kept his stare on it, discarding the threat to some degree, before turning around and exploring how much there is to the ship he was on. And there were a lot. He looked at what was inside the rooms of the ship before returning to the main deck. There was a slight wind. A storm in the distance coming their way. He had the gut feeling that he needed to leave, so he quickly went to any person he could find, and asked about how he could leave the level. To which he was informed that there was a trapdoor on the crow's nest that he needed to go through to leave this level. Where exactly, the person has already forgotten because he has stayed in this level for quite a while. But that was enough.
The child began running through out the large ship towards the crow's nest and began climbing the ladder like tied up ropes. Slowly but surely he managed to go up and finally step on floor he can trust. He almost fell on several occasions, but in the end he managed to climb without a scratch. At this point the creature from before has made its way to the ship and looked up at the child.
It never had bad intentions, It was just vibing. If it meant harm this ship would have already sink to the bottom.
He opened the trap door and even if it lead back to the main deck, he jumped right through it which placed him. In a nice looking lobby, of Level 86.
