Chapter 16: Pick a side already
For him this little game of his was now paused until he returns to the backrooms. As he stepped into his own creation he had one place that he knew about. He simply appeared in the frontrooms once again, but with what goal exactly, he wasn't so sure. Perhaps create some chaos, find a person to fight with, or just explore. With emptiness behind his name, he walked out of the alleyway he appeared in, and onto the streets of now well lit place. Thought there was some emptiness, because of the time being dawn, he felt somewhat tired, the effect of exhaustion he couldn't feel in the backrooms.
The rising sun... He has never seen it before. It was beautiful... He showed a calm smile as he began walking, this moment simply put him at ease, a feeling he would describe as heavenly. After the news, he was recognized by those who even dared to look his way, but his calming smile, gave them the peace of mind they needed after the media had cast a shadow onto him.
People feared him, they were scared that if they called the police that they would end up like that one police officer, But he truly meant no harm to them... Though he was confused, why did that man let him go, wasn't he a threat to society... Well no and yes. Depending on the mood, he could prank people into insanity, or he could just exist with them. The thought was either sweet, to a degree, or sour. So much damage could be done to this tiny world, the only way for him to make it bigger is through exploration and knowledge, but was it even relevant to him. His thoughts returned once more to give him questions that never have a real answer, because they depend on the person who is being questioned. It was like a snap of a finger, all his thoughts simply vanished as he hummed to himself to silence them, the sound of reality crashing with the unreal mind. Once again emptiness...
He smiled to himself and exhaled a bit of air, in response to it. To fill the emptiness, perhaps a forced interaction as before, or an outside source to cause him to snap out of it. A person suddenly emerged from the crowd of people who were simply doing their own routine. The person, covered themselves telepathically with any rock like material around them, creating a huge beast. The motive behind this was unknown, but for the child it didn't care about it, this sudden unnecessary introduction of a new challenger was enough to get him out of his void. He stepped backwards quickly with a slight jump to it. It was exciting. This was for sure to get things rolling, as more commotion began to form. People with the same strange costumes, all unique by design, but close by purpose. Screams everywhere, the sound of terror, something beautiful yet terrific, just like the fear of losing their lives... Such strong emotion...
Perhaps he could send it to the backrooms? But which level exactly? "Nope, this for sure ain't fitting in level 0... Perhaps level 7 with Tiny and the fish." He knew what the name of the being he met at level 7 was, or at least it's name on the wiki. He thought of what possible places he could send it... Level 11? "No, there will be too much damage if this thing continues to destroy." Then the idea appeared. T!!he Vo?!id
Perhaps wait for it to become a part of this horrific place, even if it was part of the backrooms, The child seemed to get hostile though, to destroy it... Yes, someday. But if he does what will be left of the level?
As he was looking up the creature tried to stomp him, but in record times the child reacted creating a portal which directly went to the void... "NO!" The child yelled to himself as he closed the wound cutting the leg of the stone golem off. He shouldn't open the world to the void...
He was noclipping through the creature, but he didn't go into the void with the missing part... What if the void consumes the world? He had a somewhat paranoid expression. This almost killed him because he lowered his guard too much, he imagined what it could do to the others if the void was able to spread through reality... He thought to himself and believed that he probably had the power to do that and force the corruption out of the void into reality... But this would make everything ugly. People, places... Everything. "Snap out of it..." He told himself as he knocked on his head lightly. This seemed to stop the thought, but the emotional reaction was still present. As the monster prepared to strike him, the child looked at it seriously, before creating a wound to the in between. Far from any portals, into the perfect void. As the monster tried to strike him down, the child simply moved to the side through a portal before closing it. And opening a portal which was as huge as the creature. In that moment, an incredible force was put onto the golem, as it crumbled with the quirk user still inside his creation. The force was enough to knock out the villain, which made the rock being fall forward into the perfect void.
The only people left in this incident being, a bright figure and the child who closed the portal... He wasn't sure, but he took a peek in the in between, as he thought about it dissappearing, but nothing happened. He couldn't just remove the person from existence.
The figure walked to the kid, and kept his smile. "Do not fear, Because I am here."
"Yeah, Can you arrest the person, I don't want him to stay in my void?" The child asked, with a neutral expression. He simply didn't want to share his beautiful dimension. He didn't know exactly what it was, but he could make a theory that it is indeed his. Because the first time he went to the void, he didn't see the in between. Only when he gave the command he found this pocket dimension... No the representative of the liminal concept.
The person thought about what this meant, and finally realized who the person before him was. But... he seemed to have helped him contain the villain. "Why did the news cast such a bad reputation on this child?" The man whispered to himself while rubbing his chin. The child heard those words and decided to make a conversation out of it. Perhaps one which will last longer. "I don't know either. I simply wander around, finding out about the world. Let's just say I am on a quest of finding the meaning of me... Or simply to understand myself." The child said in the middle of the 3rd sentence raising his hand and moving it from left to right, as if to mark the entire world into the range of how long his hand is. "I Understand... You don't seem like a bad person as they have described you... Perhaps you could become a hero." The man said with a grin, welcoming the idea of the child becoming a hero.
He considered it, perhaps the thought of watching over the backrooms and keeping the worlds from collapsing into each other. That sounded cool, but he knew that neither the backrooms nor the frontrooms can collapse. Unless he tried to do something, if he even was able to do that. He doubted it, perhaps it was best for him to not believe in it... "How exactly can I become one?" He asked, either way, he can abandon it any time he got bored of it. And with his control over the backrooms entirely, he can simply isolate himself in a level, and avoid any consequences of it.
"I can suggest you into a school. After that it's all you." The man said not breaking the smile, but he began to feel a bit exhausted as steam began to slowly appear through his body. 'No! Not now!'
"I am sorry, but i must go now." With that the man jumped with incredible force as he landed onto a far away building.
