The Dragon Lords Conquest

As it turns out Ithers Grandaughter wasnt exactly the most chatty, which I learned very quickly since she just sat there staring, after a while I just left to go train but first I needed to find Ither, I needed to know if there was a training yard in this place.

The halls were filled with majestic pictures that featured what I imagine were probably places, that and the Intericit armor that was silver with gold, clearly never worn for battle beyond inspiration for the real troups, I found Ither standing in front of a picture that looked like him but not "Hey Is there a training yard or anything of the sort in this place" he slowly looked at me clearly, he had been zoned out "What did you say Ezra, sorry I was kinda out of it" so I repeated my sentence "Why is Lyssia giving you the silent treatment" I nodded and pursed my lips, He set his arm on my shoulder "She does that to everyone she doesn't know, I was kinda hoping it would be different with you since yall will likely be training against each other when your older" I nodded "Makes sense, but is there a training yard here?" he nodded "What do you want to train, or do you intend to do something else" I brought up 2 fingers "Ill be continuing to align my cores, since me and Lyssia don't get along Yet" he chuckled and nodded "You sure she wont hate you" it was more of a joke I think "Im Not that sure honestly".

Ither brought me to a large open area where the ground was covered in sand "Well show me your skills with any weapon you want" there was a small wooden rack of various weapons that went from a tiny little metal Pin to a Great war hammer, I looked across the rack and found my weapon of choice the Rapier, the best weapon for what I used to do "Intresting choice, do you know how to use it properly" I nodded "Then explain its use" I chuckled, he literally just asked the Needle of Death, the absolute winner of every battle he was in if he knew what it was.

"The Rapier is a piercing weapon, that is best suited for attacking medium armored foes, it can also be enhanced with some magic to deal more damage to a foe" he nodded "Good, you seem to understand the basics, now if I may ask, Who Taught you?" I shook my head and pointed at myself "That I refuse to accept" I sighed and quickly came up with a story "I had someone who protected me for a very short time, they used and litely taught me how to use a rapier and told me what I might be able to do with specific mana types" he nodded "I would like to meet this person some day what was their name" I shook my head "Tethra isn't with us anymore" he nodded "At least she taught someone her skills, I guarantee if she showed them to others she would have been a renowned Adventurer" I nodded "Well Kid get to work, I need to see your skills, if they are good enough then maybe I can try and get some of the mana test stones as an investment for you" I nodded "is there a training dummy" he shook his head and smiled "you'll see" I stepped onto the sand and there was nothing in front of me.

I heard the ground rumble and then a stone golem was standing about 15 feet in front of me "is this what you meant Ither?" he nodded and put a thumbs up.

the sun was setting showering the field in golden red light, I had destroyed about 13 stone golems just showing him, but my entire body was in like a self destruct mode "You did good Ezra" I weakly chuckled "I'm guessing that took a lot out of you then" I nodded "Ill see if I can get a room for you in the house, to get cleaned up before dinner" I nodded "That would be great" I was slumbed over half dead dealing "Dosent look like you got hit, so you have at least speed going for you" I nodded again "It would also seem that the skills your previous teacher taught you were for someone much bigger then you, so I would try to downscale them to your smaller size" my neck was starting to hurt from all this nodding "Ok, can we talk about this later, Please" I pleaded and he just laughed at my request for a silent night.

"well ill find a room you can use" I sighed "does every room have a bathroom with it" he nodded "Pretty much" I looked up and saw a curtain move from the second floor, someone had been watching me.

I was brought to a room and given a new set of Formal clothes, apparently Ither had sent a maid to get them from his Mansion while I was training.

Also the shower still great as it was the day before, literal Heaven for me since hot water was hard to come by while locked in a basement, I had left the shirt in the main area of the room, since I had locked the door so no one should be in the room.

i was rubbing a towel against my hair when I noticed Lyssia was sitting in the chair on the opposite corner of the room "Howd you get in" this child was truly starting to scare me "you have to push the door further then you would think" I sighed and mumbled "at least you talked finally" she looked up from her book "Correct I don't talk much, whats with all the scars" I sighed, I was starting to really hate questions "My family beat me, and this is the evidence of that" she looked back down at her book " I heard your Grandpas first Student, so you must be strong Right?" I nodded "I belive I am" she closed the book, I was buttoning the shirt up when I heard the door close.

 i began to head to where Ither had directed me to go after I was done, Lyssia was a little ahead of me.
