The Diary Of A Queer Warlock

Chapter 16: Awakening To A Traumatic Moment

Book Title: The Diary Of A Queer Warlock Chapter 16

"Wake up! Wake the hell up!!" Adrian's subconscious continued screaming inwardly but his soul couldn't hear this voice any longer as it had immersed itself too deeply within the illusion world caused by the poison.

A few minutes after, his experience here would be story as not only would his soul risk cutting off the connection with its body, making him a literal ghost, he would also have his soul stewed by Aldos' unusual gray flame.

Aldos' observed within his cauldron using his mind's eye, a microscopic runed eye right on his forehead. He could tell that there was minimal problems at first as Adrian's body was already turning red, an evidence of being at a hyper-natural temperature. However, he suddenly had hunch, an unusual one that he had never faced in his many years of cannibalistic treats.

He could tell through a bit of obscure divination that Adrian was involved in whatever gave him the creeps, he just couldn't tell when or how. Next, he examined Adrian very closely, a bit of crimson manifested in the pupillary corners of his eyes as he observed Adrian.

"Nothing is wrong. But something is definitely off somewhere, I just know it, I do" Aldos mumbled to himself. He was sure this lad was only a human with little magical knowledge, it was impossible for anything from such a character to cause him any sort of harm.

On the other end, within the magical castle,

Jasper immersed in the depths of the golden pond sat crosslegged. A hue of rainbow formed a manifestation of aura about six feet distance around him.

His long hair gave off a sense of ethereality that complemented his captivating face.

"Interesting! This kid is able to enter the gate of Oecin /Oh-kin/ by manipulating a fragment of the Eternity Stone with just his halo. This is something crazy and fun at the same time.

Crazy as he is unprepared to face the dangers in that world and also fun as it is a fast way for him to gain experience and awaken a rune" Jasper voiced in his mind.

It turns out that he was fully aware of the trials and what Adrian was going through which was actually expected to happen. After all, as powerful as Jasper was and with the keen senses of a higher lifeform, it would be a joke if Adrian could sneak out the fragment of the Eternity Stone without him knowing.

However, it was likely possible that though he knew about it, he just wanted Adrian to have a silly moment of adventure to himself. Also, the fragment of the Eternity Stone in Adrian's hands wasn't worth as much, it was in literal terms just a single shard out of a million broken fragments of the Eternity Stone.

This bit which Adrian even possessed was bought at an auction by Jasper and he immersed them in the golden pillar one certain time to better understand one chant in the past.

The special thing about the Eternity Stone is it's ability to create random simulations. The simulations worked like games in real life but they had a duration rate. This meant that once their magic ran out, the simulations created would automatically collapse and then the people caught within it would get ejected.

Of course, in special cases, someone else as an outsider can shatter the stone's core and rescue the inhabitants in the space. However, it would require an Advanced Mage to have a chance of success.

"Let's see,if this kid is able to manifest his runes before the eventual collapse of the simulation then he'll be worth saving after all" Jasper voiced out with a little chuckle.

Adrian's body had finally received a funny sensation that alerted his soul and returned his body's ability to sense pain.

"Too…it's hot in here" Adrian muttered dryly as his eyelids slowly opened.

He woke up feeling unusual and stressed, then there was also the heat issue which shouldn't have been present earlier when he fainted.

COUGH!!

Adrian began choking real bad when he got up on his own moments after. The heat was just too insane but because the walls of the cauldron resembled actual walls, Adrian felt that he had just been locked up in a room, at least that was how best he could process his situation.

"Hey! Somebody let me out! Let me out of here right this minute or else I swear that I'll blast open this damn room" Adrian swore out of utter frustration though he expected no reply as he was only venting his emotions.

Surprisingly though, he got an unexpected reply that creeped the guts out of him.

"Silly brat, finally you're awake, why'd it take you so long you sleep starved ant" Adrian tried to listen clearly to Aldos' rant.

But it didn't sound like something he could understand as Aldos' voice sounded like a multitude speaking over each other but echoing each other unanimously at the exact same time.

"Who are you?" Adrian queried and looked above him out of instinct. However, he met the most traumatic and disastrous event by staring straight into Aldos' eyes.

Those manipulative gray eyes that seemed to peer into the depths of his soul. As well as the corny smile that struck a chord, he had once seen the replica of this smile.

Yes, it was the exact smile that his pervert of a Magical Lord master wore on his face whenever he's in the mood to flirt.

"I'm Aldos, it's not very NICE to meet you, just so you know" Adrian's smile dropped midway into Aldos' speech.

"What does that mean" Adrian asked with a frown.

"Where the hell did you come from you nosy human. Tell me and I'll be sure to leave you with an intact corpse should any of the rituals go wrong" Aldos impassively returned Adrian's question with a question that sent chills down the spine of the latter.

The look in Adrian's eyes was an undisguised expression of fear and trauma following the icy statement made by Aldos.
