The Diary Of A Queer Warlock

Chapter 10: Solaris' Magic History (1)

Jasper descended very slowly, he was cautious to keep on maintaining his triumphant smile that irked Adrian so much. As he was too conceited to sit on the bare ground, he sat on the air using the air's propulsion as a cushion.

His seating position defied the laws of gravity in every common sense and he was not even investing concentration in doing so.

"We begin" Jasper began first by clearing his throat, "What is magic if I may ask?"

Adrian was quiet then puzzled for a few seconds as his brain processed the right response to the question he was asked.

"Magic is a supernatural force guided by nature's communication with its creation" Adrian mumbled disorderly and scratched his head in a silly manner.

"Hmm" Jasper's lips twitched and his brows arched, his look of contempt undisguised.

Adrian was silly enough and now he was also dumb. This instruction session might not be as easygoing as he thought.

"Magic is more than a supernatural force, the idea of it being a supernatural force is only limited to mortals who have no comprehension about it. Actual magic is a lifestyle and that is what separates a magical human from a nonmagical human.

Humans are subject to nature's laws and they live by its principles. Magical humans on the other hand, are innately gifted or enlightened to walk the path of understanding, applying, guiding and transcending nature's laws.

It is when the magical human's abilities transcend the laws of nature that actual magic identified as supernatural is formed" Jasper dedicatedly explained, pouring out his comprehension into Adrian's ears and heart.

Adrian listened raptly by the side, careful enough not to miss a single detail from the words that flowed from Jasper's mouth. He also had insights from the phases mentioned.

The part where Jasper mentioned about magical humans walking the path of understanding, applying, guiding and transcending nature's laws left him pondering for a while.

Next, Jasper's lectures proceeded even more intensely as he spoke with depth. He broke down the concept of magic from it's rough history in the Solarian Universe to its present level.

...

The Solarian Universe broke out from a multiverse known as Psaldina /s-al-di-na/. Psaldina was created by a being known as Cosmia, the central god of existence otherwise known as ALMIGHTY. Psaldina was only one of the test creations of Cosmia that eventually made it to a multiverse.

During its fusion process, Cosmia implanted nearly a million laws to help its birth. Psaldina was then formed thirty trillion years after and it turned out to be the first successful multiverse. Since it was the first, it came with benefits and disadvantages alike.

The greatest benefit was that it could birth life in abundance and these lifeforms might even have a touch of Cosmia's laws in them from the moment they were conceived.

The greatest disadvantage was that its universes would always continue to loop into chaos including their timeline, fate line and wills.

Cosmia himself couldn't stop this change, or it was likely he wanted it that way, hence every one billion years, a separate universe would break out of Psaldina.

Twenty billion years after, Solaris was born in its full glory after breaking out of the endless loop. In its early stage, Solaris was still in the nature of chaos with several laws running rampant within. The celestial bodies, mountains, rivers and life were yet to emerge due to the unsteady nature of the rash laws.

Shortly after, the Solarian Universe awakened its first primordial spirit otherwise known as Universal Guardian. The Universal Guardian was known as Fairy Mother Daphney and her presence was able to unsettle the surrounding chaos as she was born from it as well.

In a couple of million years, she created the concept of order and divided the natural laws which Cosmia sealed in their fragment of Psaldina. Fairy Mother Daphney isolated the galaxies, planets, vegetations, mountains and rivers into distinct worlds.

Next, it was time to create actual living beings that would exist in Solaris. The set of beings she created were right below her; they were meant to be her intra-terrestrial guardians. They would watch over the orders she made.

She called them Primal Celestials. There were fourteen of them in general, assigned to different orders and their appearances were also symbolic in appearance.

The first Primal Celestial was called Deltae and it protected the order of existence, destiny and fate. Its true form was a one horned giant dragon.

The second Primal Celestial was called Lifae /lee-vay/ and it protected the order of life, birth and spirituality. Its true form was a Silver Winged Giant Cock.

Next was Div, the protector of the order of death. His true form was a black eyed devil tiger. There was the fourth known as Incano, protector of the order of reincarnation whose true form was a phoenix.

There was also Pit that protected the order of time and had the form of a six tailed rabbit. Next was Sapti /sa-ti/ that protected the order of Space and had the form of a giant white beetle.

There was also Latte /lat/ that protected the order of light and day. It existed in the form of a Golden Bull. There was Noktun that protected the order of darkness and night and its true form was a gigantic black crow.

Next came Codsiv, /cor-siv/ the Primal Celestial of mountains whose true form was a snake tailed tortoise. After that was Mer, the Primal Celestial of water in the form of a vertically half human and half shark figure.

Ser was the Primal Celestial of fire in the form of a nine tailed firefox, Dai'an, Primal Celestial of lightning and thunder existed in the form of a three horned Thunder Wyrm.

Gang /jen/ and Yaow /yow/ were the Primal Celestials of metal and wood respectively. While Gang's true form was that of a six eared monkey Yaow's true form was a treeman.

These fourteen Primal Celestials go from way back to the primitive era but even in the current era of Adrian, they weren't forgotten yet.
