After what happened last night... it is a wonderful thing that the whole family to the park.

Well not the whole family I guess, dad got a mission that would take him out of Orleans for a week.. something about the headmaster of beacon needing his help tracking down someone or something.

I think it would be best for him to not go on that mission and just stay with us to take his minds off whatever is plaguing his mind that could make him cry.

Even mom think the same as me, she tries to convince him to refuse the mission but he insisted that he must go.

He then lean in to whisper to mom's ear but because of how close I was to them at the time I could hear dad talks about a maiden being missing.

So it's a missing girl that dad must track down then, maybe it's one of the councilmen or politician's daughter being missing, because dad is pretty high ranking in the hunter's hierarchy so there's no way he would be given a mission thats not important.

Dad is ranked S in his hunter's license... there are only a handful of S ranked hunters and each headmaster on the hunter school must also be an S rank or at least a A+ rank at minimum because if the worst scenario happen, the headmaster must be the first and last line of defense of the school.

I want to be a S ranked too... it would make dad and the others proud.

But with how high ranked dad is then this mission must be really hard and important....

Well after we eat breakfast dad is grabbing his backpack and we are currently seeing him off.

"Stay safe okay honey, make sure to take fare of yourself! And whatever happen to listen to qrow!" Mom told him as they both hugged.

"Yeah dad! Stay safe and come home soon! I want to go to the mall next time okay!?" Noir shouted and jumped up and down resulting in dad chuckling.

The rest of the family then each say some parting words from dad and as usual.. Mordred is the most... quick with her words... her words is basically, "don't die or I'll kill you." ..... if you translate it to normal people speak then its basically "stay safe or I'll be sad." But it's Mordred... so it's going to be.... unique to say the least.

The most shocking thing that happened while seeing dad off is his interaction with Jaune.

"Jaune, come here." Dad told Jaune which made Jaune's eyes looks around in confusion, because this never happened before... not in years.. even the others looked confused except for mom... who looked as if she is expecting this.

What happened last night? Because when the rest of us had come to the dining room dad is already finished crying.... none of us except mom actually knows about what had happened.. does this has something to do with Jaune?

At first I wanted to ask Dad about what's wrong when we were eating last night, but I stay silent because seeing dad like that.. its making me want to cry too.

And when Jaune came back for dinner he panicked and ask mom about Artoria, I think my heart stopped beating for a few second because I didn't think that something could happened to Artoria, what if she is hurt or is hospitalized! I'm such a bad sister to not think of that!

Thankfully mom denied that anything had happened to Artoria and as much as I love that nothing had happened to her.. it still doesn't change the fact that something did happened to make dad cried.

When Jaune come closer to dad, dad's next action basically make some of us take few step back.

He....

He hugged him...

Dad hugged Jaune.

What?

I look around and see the rest of my sister is in a similar state of shock.

Saphron eyes widen while she tightened her hold on to Olivia.

While Mordred take a step back and her hands slacket at her side... I think I can see her eyes watered and lips quivered.

The younger ones is still too young to fully understand but they can feel the atmosphere that dad had created.

Jaune's eyes is basically as wide as plate before he hug dad even tighter.

This... I don't think dad ever hugged Jaune since... since before the end of his training...

The most that dad physical touch that dad had vixen Jaune after that is just a pat on the back at best.

His next action shock us even more, dad lean in and give Jaune's forehead a kiss.

"Whatever happen Jaune... you must know that I love you.. and I will always love you.." Dad says to Jaune and I can see Jaune start to shake and hear a little sob as he buries his face on dad's chest.

.....is... is dad going to die? How dangerous is this mission! Dad.. Dad never done this to Jaune..

"I-i l-l-love you t-too, d-dad." Jaune hugged dad even tighter and after a few more moments they pull away and Jaune sniffed and start start rub his eyes.

Dad then says his goodbyes to the others before he leave.

'hopefully nothing bad will happen' I think to myself as I see Jaune's being comforted by Mordred.
