Chapter 84: Big Sister and Little Brother
Pov Marie,
I was walking beside a beautiful 18-year-old woman, someone I knew I was close to for some reason.
"Big sister, are you coming to my performance today?"
She looked at me, her eyes filled with immense warmth.
"Of course. Have you ever seen me miss one of your piano performances?"
"No, but I just wanted to be sure."
Apparently, I was going to perform a piano piece. It's true that I like the instrument, but it still surprises me that I play it.
I didn't fully understand what was going on, but my daily life seemed to revolve around my sister. She was the most amazing person. She was incredibly strong, and I often relied on her for help.
Maybe she was a little too attached to me, but I didn't mind because my sister was the best in the world.
One day, I was being harassed, and the situation was escalating—they were about to attack me. That's when my sister arrived and gave them a proper thrashing. They never stood a chance against her, especially since she practices a dozen martial arts.
Today, several people appeared before us as if by magic and asked if my sister could become the new Guardian of Time.
"What do I gain by becoming someone like that?"
"You will gain immense power and live for eternity unless you choose to pass your power to someone else."
"But what about my little brother? I don't want to part with him."
The little brother in question is me, even though I sometimes feel like I'm a woman for some reason.
"You can make him immortal. That's nothing compared to what you'll be able to do."
"You should accept, big sister. You'll become the strongest person in the world, and you'll be able to protect me."
It might be true that I have a bit of a dependency on her.
"If you say so, then I accept this role that has been entrusted to me."
She only needed to wear a medallion that would grant her the power of her predecessor, combined with her lineage and other powers they possessed.
It was when she received her power that everything went wrong. Monsters clad in armor appeared and tried to attack my sister.
"Protect Saturn-sama. Nothing must interrupt the transmission!"
The battle began, and those on our side were prepared to act as human shields to protect her.
Suddenly, I noticed someone who wasn't caught up in the chaos. They were aiming to kill my big sister.
I rushed toward the monster and intervened.
I felt a sharp pain in my chest before everything went black, and in that moment, I heard cries of despair.
I woke up with a sudden jolt, still feeling as though I could hear my sister's cries.
Wait—I don't have a big sister. But at the same time, this dream felt strangely familiar.
I realized something was wrong. Something hadn't been right from the start of the day.
Even though my eyes weren't open, I could sense that something was amiss.
Opening my eyes I saw that Evelyn had disappeared.
Author's note: I wanted to show with this strange dream the repercussions of Chibi Evelyn but finally I got lost in writing and so it will be in the next chapter that Evelyn will have to suffer the consequences of Chibi Evelyn.
