Go to the space
Pov Dia,
Some time ago, I had a fight with Azazel about the Sacred Gear, and we challenged each other to create one. The person who creates the best Sacred Gear can boast about it for the rest of their life.
I first searched for a metal that could be used for my Sacred Gear, but there was nothing interesting on Earth. So today, I’m going beyond this planet to find a useful metal.
I had planned to go with all my peerage, but Rimuru said she wanted to give this opportunity to Rain and Misery to serve me.
According to her, they have completed their training and will no longer bring shame to the title of "Maid of Dia."
Since this is their first time officially serving me, I agreed to take only them on my journey beyond this planet.
Diablo had served me before because Rimuru knew he wouldn’t make any mistakes and that he would do an excellent job.
I could see Rain and Misery shining with joy, finally able to serve me.
I prepared thoroughly for this expedition; our gear was equipped with several runes that would bring us back to Earth if any problems arose.
I also instructed them to avoid any unnecessary fights.
At this moment, we were preparing to enter space, and we had revealed our wings for the journey.
We could see three pairs of wings on Rain and Misery, though they were not far from obtaining their fourth pair.
Dia: "Are you ready?"
Rain: "If Dia-sama is ready, then we are ready."
I sighed at what she said. It doesn’t bother me that she serves me with absolute respect and devotion, but it saddens me that this has become their reason for living. If I were to die, they would fall into complete despair.
We finally set off to explore a place that few on this planet can boast of having visited.
Once we left the planet, we could see a vast void around us and the Earth behind us.
It was quite impressive.
There was no atmosphere here, so we couldn’t breathe, though it wasn’t a problem for us.
Dia: "Follow me. I have no idea if there’s any time distortion, so it’s better to get it over with quickly."
Rain and Misery: "As you wish, Dia-sama."
Dia: "Sigh, what would you do if I died?"
Rain looked at me as if I had said something absurd.
Rain: "But you won’t die, that’s impossible."
Dia: "And if, hypothetically, I were to die?"
Misery: "Which is impossible."
Dia: "It’s just an assumption."
Rain: "Even thinking about it should be punishable by death."
Dia: "You just said that those who think about it deserve death, but if I think about it and die, it becomes a national tragedy."
She didn’t know how to respond because the flaw I had pointed out in their reasoning was real.
Dia: "If I die, you’ll just have to serve my daughters and future children."
Rain: "Yes, but it won’t be you anymore. You’re special, we swear it."
Dia: "Whether you like it or not, we all end up dying, even if we don’t want to. So try not to let it affect you too much if it happens."
Misery: "You’re asking the impossible, Dia-sama."
Dia: "It’s strange. I thought that for a maid, nothing was impossible, and if the master gives an order, they are obliged to follow it."
Sometimes, it’s good that they take being a maid so seriously, because it can help in situations like this.
Dia:" Now let’s stop talking about death and talk about something interesting. What are your feelings about Rimuru?"
