How did I end up living this nightmare?

My name is Selena, princess of the aquatic people, daughter of King Neptune. I am known for my beautiful voice when I sing.

I often sing outside the water and frequently beyond the limits my father imposes on me. Two days ago, I was doing just that until I was captured by pirates.

Apparently, they heard my voice and wanted to sell me to a nobleman to be his animal companion. I’ve never experienced something so humiliating in my life, but I could do nothing, because once outside this aquarium, I would find myself on the surface, where I have little ability to move.

So, I was trapped, waiting for hope to come.

Three days later, I’m still on the boat, longing to see my father and the others.

Pirate: "Hey guys, what’s that noise?"

As time passed, the voice became clearer. Who could be singing in the open sea?

??: "Yo, ho, all ….

In fact, it wasn’t just one voice; there were several singing in unison.

Lookout: "SHIP to starboard, captain."

Pirate Chief: "How big is it?"

The captain rushed to the starboard side to see the vessel.

Pirate Chief: "It’s our lucky day! That ship must be worth a fortune. Everyone, prepare for boarding."

But as the pirates were about to shout in excitement, someone interrupted them.

The person who spoke was a man with black hair and a red streak. But what was most shocking were his eyes, filled with malice and power.

Wait, did he just mention Dia-sama? I’m saving.

I had the pleasure of meeting her several times; she is a very powerful devil who only wants peace with our race.

Pirate: "Who are you, bastard?"

??: "I would never say my name to someone as lowly as you. Now die."

He made a quick movement with his hand, and the pirate’s head was in his grasp.

The pirates were stunned by this person’s display of power.

Dia: "My friends, prepare for boarding."

Several shadows jumped onto the boat, and among them was Dia-sama.

Dia: "Ladies and gentlemen, please dispose of this trash and take all of their wealth."

It’s not exactly how I imagined my rescue.

Dia: "Yo Selena, we came to save you."

Selena: "Are we sure your primary goal isn't to take their wealth?"

Dia: "What? No, that’s just a small bonus. King Neptune asked me to save you, and in exchange, he would change the alliance pact into a vassal one. Of course, I rejected him, but he was determined to pay me and even told me that all the people of the sea would be under my faction."

It sounds like something a father would do. I’m his only daughter, and he cares about me so much that he could do it without any hesitation.

Dia: "I took advantage of the situation to start a legend about a dreaded scarlet boat that would announce its power through music."

Selena: "Always trying to be cool."

Dia: "The members of my peerage weren’t eager to sing, but they could be persuaded if threatened by Rimuru."

Dia: "Well, now bring all this onto the boat."

She took the aquarium I was in and carried me home.

As soon as my father saw me, he rushed over to hug me, and I did the same.

Neptune:" I thought I’d never see you again."

Selena: "Me too, Dad."

And we cried like that for over an hour.
