Chapter 33: A Surprise Guest
"That's gonna leave a mark, not a pretty one either," Six commented.
.
It's been a week since the students moved into the dorms that were implemented. Since they arrived, they had double the training time. Currently, Six was tasked to watch them while the rest of the teachers discussed their Provisional Hero Licenses. Six already knew what they would talk about so he wasn't upset about being left out.
Right now, though, Six was employing Veronica to help train the kids. And something that Six wouldn't admit, but when it came to technique, she outdid him. But in a contest in pure strength? Only Grandma Lilly could best him and she was a Night-kin. But that was beside the point.
As Six watched Veronica versus Izuku, he couldn't help but notice that Izuku disregarded the use of his legs. So when Veronica swept his legs out from under him, Six called their match.
.
"Okay, that's it!" Six called out as Veronica stopped her punch that would have connected to Izuku's nose. "Now that all of you know the basics of fighting hand-to-hand, some more than others," He said before looking at Ochaco who got a few good hits in, "we'll now take a few minutes to rest."
.
The class sighed in relief and sat down where they stood, a few of them soothing their aching bruises they earned from their spar with Veronica. Ochaco was to only one to really hit Veronica without using their quirk as she trained at GunnHead's agency. But Momo had the practical training with and without her quirk to tie with Veronica surprisingly. To say that Six was surprised was an accurate statement. Veronica just found happiness when she witnessed that Six took to teaching well.
After ten minutes had passed, Six got them up again and had them start running to help build their endurance up. Though he did shoot at those who lagged behind with rubber bullets. Denki and Mineta got hit a few too many times. Veronica saw that he was being cruel, but let it go when she realized that Six's mind was preoccupied.
.
"What's the matter?" She asked when the students were out of earshot.
"The tests came back," Is all that Six said.
"You don't mean..." Veronica whispered to herself.
"I do," Six said as they waited for the students to get out of earshot again.
"Are they positive?" She asked. "Are they really your kids?"
"Nezu tripled check to make sure," Six told her as they continued to watch the kids, two in particular.
"And the results?" She couldn't help but ask as she watched Six shoot another student.
"They're positive," Six sighed. "The match was over 90%, so they're a good chance to be my kids."
"What about the other ten percent?" Veronica asked, curious.
"With the amount of Mutations I have, that was the closest they could determine. Even then, it was a hassle to get it that far," Six told her.
.
Veronica just stayed silent, knowing that not all the Mutations Six had were 'good' ones. While some were 'good', others were downright borderline 'evil'. She didn't want to get into that anymore than she already was. But, now that she was here, she'd do everything she could for Six.
After all, what was family for?
.
|The Next Day|
.
"Quiet," Aziawa spoke as he entered the classroom with Six behind him. "Now then, for today's training will be special."
"And it's something I think is a waste of time and resources," Six commented.
"May I ask what's so special about this training?" Momo asked the question on everyone's minds.
"I'm glad you asked!" Midnight shouted as Cementoss, Ectoplasm, and her entered the classroom. "It's 'Special Move Training'!"
"Like I said, a waste," Six commented again.
"Shut up," Aizawa told Six before he pressed a button on a remote. "Wear your costumes and report to Gym Gamma," he said before walking out with the teachers and Six.
.
As they walked out, they were met with a tall walking suit of armor. At first, the teachers were scared, except for Aizawa. He just deadpanned before looking at Six who was looking bored.
.
"One of yours?" Aizawa asked and pointed at the suit of armor.
"Yep," Six said popping the 'P'. "How's it fit, Veronica?"
"The fit's good," Veronica spoke through the speakers. "But I'm surprised that you haven't pulled something like this out before."
"Wait, that's Veronica?!" The other three shouted but Aizawa and Six ignored them.
"What is this?" Aizawa asked as he knocked on the chest plate of the armor.
"It's called 'X-01 Powered Armor', though this is the lighter version of the armor," Six told them as Veronica removed her helmet. "Though this version was used by a group called the 'Enclave'. But I highly doubt that they'll appear."
"Why is that, Hun?" Midnight asked as she finished looking over the armor.
"Stars and Strips," Six stated as if it was obvious. "She wouldn't let such a group appear without watching them. Plus, they wouldn't get much ground to stand on either. Baring such hatred towards 'Mutants' and all."
"Let's just hope that what you said is true," Cementoss sighed as he walked towards Gym Gamma.
.
By the time the Teachers, Six, and Veronica got to Gym Gamma, the students were already arriving. At first, they wondered why Veronica was in armor, but a few managed to guess that she was going to be there for those more physical quirks. Cementoss then started to say that Gym Gamma was built for his quirk so that he could create training places for students to use. Ectoplasm then went on a tangent about super moves.
Six promptly ignored him, not out of cruelty, but because he saw this as a waste. Finally, Aizawa had Cementoss make platforms for the students. Before they could take a platform, Six called out to a few students.
.
"Momo, Ojiro, and Kirishima! Come here!" Six shouted out to the three of them. "You three will be facing off against me and Veronica here," Six tapped her chest plate. "Kirishima, you will try to dent her armor. Orjiro, your job is to knock her off her feet. Momo, you're with me. We're working on your aim and weapon handling."
.
When the three heard what he said, Ojiro and Kirishima gulped while Momo had a determined expression. Soon afterward, the students were split up. And then, their personal Hell began. They had two weeks before the Provisional Hero License Exam, and the Teachers and Six would make sure that they were beyond their best for it.
.
|One Week Before|
.
Six looked over the exhausted forms of Class 1-A with slight pride. So far the class all had gone toe-to-toe with Veronica in the powered armor and had personal training with him. They all showed massive improvements in such a short time. For example, Sato showed strength similar to that of a Super-mutant without his quirk activated. Looking at Denki, he could now send out almost twice what he once could. Mineta, however, showed his true colors. All he wanted was to be popular with the ladies. It took Veronica in the powered armor to hold Six back from strangling the kid.
Aizawa took it upon himself after the incident to confront Mineta privately. Six didn't know what he told the midget, but he went from whining to being a model student. Six would still grumble and say that he wasn't worth the training.
But the most surprising one was Koji Koda. He was still shy, but he managed to overcome it slightly and learned how to fight. While his hand-to-hand was at a manageable level, he fought while using quirk to have animals attack you from odd angles.
So one would understand why Six was slightly proud of the Class.
But now, it was time for them to upgrade their costumes. Something that Six could understand they would need now that they have changed completely.
.
Currently, Six was on his way to the Support Course with Ochaco. The two of them were talking about ways she could use her quirk in a fight. But, as soon as they came upon the door, they found Midoriya mumbling to himself. Six sighed as he thought Midoriya managed to break that habit of his.
.
"Midoriya!" Ochaco shouted as they got close.
"Huh," Midoriya exclaimed before looking where the voice came from. "Oh, Ochaco and Six-Sensei! What are you doing here-"
.
Midoriya went to ask as he opened the door to the Support Course. But as soon as the door was opened, it exploded. A huge cloud of black smoke covered the entrance and Midoriya. Ochaco screamed while Six just sighed as he had an idea of who caused the explosion. When the smoke cleared, the two found Midoriya lying on the ground with a well-endowed girl lying on top of him. Ochaco screamed internally while Six looked on in slight surprise.
.
'How many times has that happened to me?' Six thought to himself as he witnessed Midoriya's lucky pervert moment.
.
Midoriya was shocked at the fact that he had a pair of boobs in his face and nearly fainted when the girl in question promptly sat up on his crotch. The girl in question was Mei Hatsume, an aspiring Support Course student. She had pink hair in dreadlocks and cross-arrow-shaped eyes; she wore overalls with sleeves tied around her waist and a tight tank top.
Before things could get out of hand, Power Loader appeared and started to yell at Mei. Soon she and Midoriya were separated, with Ochaco still being slightly jealous. Six sighed and lightly chopped both Ochaco's and Midoriya's heads to get them out of their super.
.
"All right you two," Six said as they focused on him, "You two get to why you're here."
.
The two nodded and entered into the support course classroom with Six following. Once inside, the two talked to Mei about their costumes, that was after she was scolded by Power Loader that is. Six sighed as she watched the three interact. Midoriya was shy about what happened, Ochaco was still jealous, and Mei had no concept about personal space. But that wasn't his problem, he had other things to do while he was here.
.
"What do you want?" Power Loader asked as he was cleaning up Mei's latest failure.
"It's about the Roboscorpions," Six spoke.
"Did Mei take one again?" He sighed and asked.
"No, she's taken to study them without touching one again after she was shocked for the 30th time," Six told him. "The reason I'm here is to ask if you can help me upgrade them with Quirk-disrupting abilities."
"That's a hefty favor," Power Loader said as he waved for Six to follow him into his office. "The HPSC heavily monitors those that can make them. What do you need them for anyway?"
"I plan on using them," Six told him but never what for.
"I'm not even going to question it," Power Loader sighed. "I can do it, but I'll have to report this to the HPSC."
"Then teach me how to make them," Six said, "Or at least let me see the blueprints on how to make them."
"Even then I'll have to report it to the HPSC," Power Loader sighed.
"Is there anything I can do to change your mind?" Six asked as he was willing to part with some of the Tech he had stored away since he trusted Power Loader to not abuse them. That, and Dr. Disaster had been hanging out in the Support Course.
"I'm afraid I can't," Power Loader stated before walking out of the room. "Now I have to go watch Mei, make sure she doesn't blow up the room again. Just don't break anything, okay?"
.
After that, Six was left alone in Power Loader's office. Looking around, Six saw that the room was sparsely furnished but had numerous blueprints hanging on the walls. He then spotted an unattended computer. Smiling, Six helped himself to the computer as Power Loader didn't say not to look for it himself.
