The comfortable life of the best swordsman

Chapter 12: The First Night

"Well, let's get out of here then. There's no need for us to stay here any longer."

"Alright. You go to the exit of the dungeon, and I'll come to you after taking care of these corpses and such."

"Understood..." Cladia was tense. She glanced one last time at the bloodied body of her childhood friend lying on the ground before turning and heading towards the door of the room. After taking a deep breath, she turned and walked towards the door. She left the room.

Eimme was left alone in the room. She went to the nearest wall and leaned her back against it. Her face suddenly turned bright red. I did it! I really did it! I succeeded! I confessed my feelings to Cladia, and she accepted!! This is definitely the best day of my life!

She covered her face with her hands. Not just her cheeks, but her entire face was bright red. It was impossible to erase the silly smile on her face. It wouldn't go away. She couldn't stop smiling. She was very happy.

After a while, Eimme managed to compose herself. She cleared her throat.

"Yet."

The white-haired vampire man suddenly reappeared next to the woman. Just like before, he had emerged from the ground. He was on his knees. This man was slightly different from normal vampires. Vampires whose parents were vampires had ears that were pointed like Elves. However, this is not the case for those who were later turned into vampires by a vampire. Their ears do not become pointed and remain in the shape of human ears.

This man's ears, despite him being a vampire, were in the shape of human ears. He was once a human.

"Yes, my lady?" The man's face was turned towards the ground. He avoided making eye contact with Eimme.

"Take care of the corpses in this room. Also, take the unconscious woman lying on the ground and the man I asked you to heal earlier to the cells. Put them both in the dungeon, but in different cells."

"Understood."

"Also, Cladia mustn't know that the man is alive. Make sure she doesn't find out. Inform Emu about this. Deliver my message to her: You can do whatever you want with the red-haired man, but don't touch the woman. She's mine. I will train her." She paused for a moment. Other thoughts were going through her mind. "Do you understand, Yet?"

"Yes. I'll take care of it immediately."

As soon as the man finished his sentence, his body blended back into the ground. Then he appeared next to the unconscious woman. After embracing the woman's body, this time both of their bodies blended into the earth together.

Eimme took a deep breath and headed towards the exit. She reached Cladia. Cladia took Eimme's arm. Eimme called out to Emu. A moment later, a magic circle appeared beneath the two women's feet, and they suddenly found themselves inside Eimme's castle. Emu was standing directly in front of them. Her eyes were almost closed. She was suddenly surprised.

"Eimme, what happened to your dress?! I had that dress specially made for you."

"I apologize, sister. It happened while fighting."

The blonde maid sighed. "Don't worry. It's not beyond repair. I'll get you a new dress now. Wait for me." A moment later, Emu vanished. Not even ten seconds passed before she reappeared in front of them, as if out of thin air. She held a beautiful dress in her hands. It was a purple dress with black embroidery. "Here."

Eimme gracefully removed her torn dress. Her movements were captivating. They truly were. Cladia couldn't take her eyes off Eimme.

Eimme took the new dress from Emu's hand and quickly put it on with Emu's help. She looked stunning. Cladia had turned bright red.

"..." Emu clearly had something she wanted to ask but was holding back. She couldn't resist any longer and asked, "Did something happen between you two? You're acting a bit strange."

"Nothing escapes your notice..."

"It's impossible not to notice. So? What happened between you?" A silly grin spread across Emu's face as she asked this. She could more or less guess the situation.

"Actually..." Cladia began to speak. "Eimme proposed to me."

"Say that again?!" Emu was shocked. She hadn't expected that. She was expecting her to say something more along the lines of "We started dating" or "She's my girlfriend." But a direct proposal? This was definitely not what she expected. Eimme had turned out to be even more daring than she thought.

Eimme began to speak. "And Cladia... accepted my proposal to her." Her face flushed slightly.

Even though Emu was frozen in shock, she quickly composed herself, gently cleared her throat, and returned to her elegant maid demeanor.

"Congratulations. Getting back to our main topic. Luther provided first aid to the slaves who arrived here. None of the slaves were in a life-threatening condition, but some were in real pain. They are all doing well now. They are waiting in Luther's infirmary."

***

They reached Luther's infirmary. They entered through the door. The room was very messy, it was always messy, but its current state was on a whole other level.

All the slaves were in this room. The room was really crowded. Some of the slaves were lying on the beds in the room. Almost all of them were asleep or unconscious. Those who were awake immediately got to their feet when they saw Eimme and Cladia. They went to them. They were all talking at once in different languages. The words were meaningless to Cladia, but Eimme could understand.

For a while, Eimme acted as a translator for Cladia. She relayed what the slaves were saying to Cladia. They had many questions in their minds. Where was this place? Why had they been rescued? Most importantly, what would happen next? Would they be slaves again? Would they live here?

After the conversations ended, Eimme and Cladia left the room.

"We have to find a way to help them."

"They can't stay here, Dia, let me tell you that beforehand. If you want to help them, you have to find another way."

"But—"

"No. They can't stay here. Can't you see how many of them there are?"

"What do you suggest we do then?"

Emu approached them.

"We can provide them with another place to live. For example, there was a forest near the capital of the Kingdom of Plenty, right? We can settle them there. We'll build a small village or something for them."

Emu joined the conversation. "That forest actually doesn't belong to anyone. Because no one wants that forest. I heard a few times when I went to the surface to replenish our food and such. The natives of the Kingdom of Plenty said that the name of that forest is Wizard Forest and that it is a cursed forest."

"I don't think there's a curse. I don't think there can be a curse that affects such a large area," Luther suddenly interjected.

"Then there's only one thing we can do. We'll go and check it out," Cladia said. There was an excited expression on her face. Not counting Eimme's castle, she had never been anywhere other than the Kingdom of Plenty before. This would be a brand new experience for her.

Eimme nodded with a knowing expression. "Alright then. My coming would only create more of a crowd. The three of you go and investigate. I'll wait for you here." Eimme's real desire was just to relax and sleep. Although she loved swordsmanship and sword arts, she hated tiring things. She wanted to return to her original form and sleep as soon as possible.

Her facial expression actually made it quite obvious, but somehow Cladia seemed not to notice.

"Okay, let's do that. We'll go tomorrow, we need to rest now. Right, Eimme~" Cladia said with a subtle hint of sensuality in her voice.

Eimme suddenly got goosebumps and flinched. What Cladia was implying was quite obvious. Emu also seemed to understand, her cheeks slightly flushed. However, Luther was just staring blankly at Eimme's face. He hadn't understood anything.

"Alright then. Enjoy yourselves. The sun is about to set anyway..." Emu gently curtsied, then took Luther's arm and they walked away from the two.

Eimme and Cladia went together to Eimme's bedroom. Eimme immediately lay down on her bed and began to relax. Cladia had gone to take a shower.

Eimme was very nervous. This wouldn't be her first time, of course. She had been with many people before just for pleasure, but this was the first time she would be with someone she truly loved. She was lying in bed trying to relax, but she couldn't succeed. She was really very nervous.

She took off the dress she had just put on and put on more comfortable and simple clothes. A short while later, Cladia came out of the shower. She was completely naked. Of course, except for the towel covering her.

Eimme was barely holding herself together. Today was truly one of the best days of her life. Perhaps even the best. She was sure that the night would be perfected with Cladia's companionship.
