The Classless Sorcerer's Self-Stealing System

Hey all,

Story Hiatus: Just wanted to update everyone to let you know that I'm putting The Classless Sorcerer's Self-Stealing System on hiatus for a little bit. After having written most of volume two and large parts of volume three, I've come to realize that the plot just doesn't quite pan out the way I'd originally outlined it. As such, I don't think it is in the story's best interest to post what I've written in its current stat. I'll be taking some time to re-write volume two and continue work on volume three before I start to post again on Royal Road. Sorry to my readers for the inconvenience! I won't hold it against you if you choose to unfollow the story, but I promise that Classless Sorcerer will return when it's ready.

New Project. For some non Classless Sorcerer news, I've been working on another project that I'm really excited about, which I'm planning to launch in or around October. You can see the art and read the synopsis in the spoiler tag below, if you wish. If any of my readers (or anyone else reading this, for that matter) are interested in beta reading for my new story, please let me know in the comments or as a private message to me. Otherwise, feel free to follow my author profile so that you don't miss out when the story launches. I will more than likely put up a post on this story when that story goes live as well.

Synopsis

Brynhild Esragaard, Seventh Sovereign of Taeloria, died defending her world from the Oblivion. However, when she mysteriously wakes up in the lands she once believed to have been utterly destroyed, Brynhild soon discovers that not only has the world forgotten her, but that her entire life has actually taken place inside the virtual world of Sovereign Grand Fantasy Online.

Five hundred years have passed since her death, in game, and the Sovereignty is not the same benevolent institution that it once was. No longer concerned with the well-being of descenders, the Twelfth Sovereign is intent to unlock the power of the Apogee, an event sealed off by the Fifth Sovereign long before Brynhild's time. Should such an event come to pass, it could very well destroy the ley lines of the world, virtual or not, removing both magic and the descenders' means of traveling to Taeloria forever.

Will Brynhild use the Maker's gift to her as a means to live a quiet life, free from the burdens of her past? Or will the Seventh Sovereign rise up to her former status, going beyond even herself to save the world she loves most from the one thing she swore never to betray?
