Chapter 89 - Blackjack Seduction and Possessive Exit
Hazel's POV
The first round of blackjack began with cards flying across the table. Noah busted early, his face twisting in frustration as he threw down his cards. Levi followed suit, going over twenty-one, which brought a satisfied smirk to Liam's lips. When the dust settled, Vera emerged victorious with a solid twenty, leaving Noah squirming in his seat like a man facing execution.
"Sorry Noah, but I never waste a good opportunity," Vera declared, his voice dripping with anticipation as he turned toward Chl. Her smile was pure temptation. "Someone start counting."
Vera's fingers traced the delicate curve of Chl's cheek before sliding to the nape of her neck. He pulled her close, claiming her lips in a kiss that was anything but innocent. The room fell silent except for the sound of their breathing.
"Time. Twenty seconds exactly," Damian called out, though his voice seemed strained.
Vera pulled back slowly, wearing a smile that could melt steel, while Chl looked completely dazed, her lips slightly parted. Noah's discomfort had transformed into something darker, more possessive. Chl caught her breath and turned to her boyfriend with a playful expression.
"See, darling? No harm done," she said with a wink that only seemed to make Noah's jaw clench tighter.
Laughter rippled through the group, but Liam's voice was a low growl in my ear.
"No other man touches what's mine."
The heat in his words sent shivers down my spine.
The next round proved devastating for Owen as Gavin claimed victory with twenty-one points. Gavin's face lit up like he'd won the lottery as he stood and extended his hand to Thea.
"Perfect score means no time limits," he announced with barely contained excitement.
Gavin's hands found Thea's waist, pulling her against him as his mouth crashed down on hers. This wasn't the polite kiss we'd witnessed before. This was raw hunger, their bodies molding together as if they were alone in the room. Thea's arms wound around his neck, her fingers tangling in his hair as she deepened the kiss. Their bodies pressed together with an intimacy that made the air thick with tension. I glanced at Owen, expecting fury, but found something entirely different. His eyes burned with an excitement that was almost predatory. He was enjoying watching his wife in another man's arms.
When Gavin and Thea finally broke apart, both were breathless, their lips swollen and red.
"Even better than I fantasized," Gavin murmured, his thumb brushing across Thea's lower lip before helping her back to her seat.
"Now we're getting somewhere," Logan said, rubbing his hands together eagerly. "Deal the next round."
Tension crackled through the room as cards were distributed. I noticed Owen whispering something in Thea's ear that made her nod and smile while looking directly at Gavin. Scarlett emerged victorious this round with twenty-one points, and without hesitation, she stood and straddled Damian's lap, facing him with complete confidence. Her kiss was commanding, passionate, and left Damian looking stunned when she finally released him. As she returned to her seat, she leaned toward Cameron with a predatory smile.
"You're next on my list," she purred.
"Scarlett!" Levi's sharp voice cut through the room.
"What? It's just a game," she replied innocently, though her eyes sparkled with mischief.
"That's never happening," Damian said firmly, though his voice carried less conviction than his words.
"We'll see about that," Cameron challenged, his competitive nature flaring.
Adrian dominated the following round with twenty-one points, immediately pulling Stella into a kiss that made her knees buckle. The intensity between them was magnetic, drawing everyone's attention as they lost themselves in each other.
Noah finally claimed victory in the next round with nineteen points, taking his allotted twenty seconds to kiss Chl with a possessiveness that hadn't been there before.
But it was Thea's win that truly set the room on fire. With twenty-one points in hand, she pulled both Owen and Gavin toward her, creating a triangle of desire that left everyone speechless. Owen positioned himself behind her while Gavin faced her front. As Owen's lips found her neck and shoulder, Gavin claimed her mouth. They pressed her between them, creating an erotic display that raised the temperature in the room by several degrees. When Thea turned to kiss her husband while Gavin trailed kisses down her throat, the air became almost too thick to breathe.
"Getting warm in here," Damian announced, his voice slightly hoarse as he moved to adjust the air conditioning.
Several rounds passed before Levi finally claimed victory with seventeen points, celebrating as if he'd hit the jackpot. He turned toward me with deliberate slowness, his hands cupping my face and angling it slightly toward Liam before pressing his lips to my neck. The kisses were wet, sensual, designed to provoke. Liam's pulse throbbed visibly at his throat, his entire body radiating dangerous energy.
Levi continued his assault on my senses, his mouth finding that sensitive spot behind my ear before trailing down to my nape where he delivered a gentle bite followed by the sweep of his tongue. He traced a path to where my neck met my shoulder, then reversed course, his nose barely grazing my skin as if memorizing my scent. A final kiss just below my ear completed his masterpiece.
"Hazel, you're absolutely intoxicating," Levi whispered against my skin, his voice loaded with suggestion before giving me a conspiratorial wink.
The next round found Liam consumed with his cards, his silence cutting through the laughter and teasing around the table like a blade. When he won with twenty-one points, his eyes found Levi with triumphant intensity. He pulled me into his arms with possessive force, his lips claiming mine in a kiss that branded me as his. His tongue invaded my mouth, carrying the taste of expensive cognac and pure masculine dominance. We pressed together so tightly that boundaries dissolved, becoming one entity of desire and need.
When Liam finally broke the kiss, he pressed his forehead against mine, his voice carrying clearly across the suddenly silent room.
"My woman and I are done here."
He took my hand with commanding authority, leading me away from Damian's house toward his apartment. The drive passed in loaded silence, Liam's focus so intense it seemed to vibrate through the car. The atmosphere was charged with unspoken promises and barely contained need. I didn't dare speak, sensing that something fundamental had shifted between us.
When we arrived, Liam opened my door with swift efficiency, taking my hand and striding toward the elevator with purpose that made my heart race in anticipation.
