The Butterfly Effect

Hey everyone! Puppy here with an announcement that probably sounds a lot more ominous than it actually is. I will preface it with this now: The Butterfly Effect is not over! I still have a lot of things I want to do with the series and I plan to see it until its conclusion. I've done some thinking, though, and… I don't think this is the way I want to continue.

The Butterfly Effect was made with the idea of having a bunch of stories all tying together into an overarching plotline, except… it's strayed from that, without many clear or thought out connections. I'm confined by decisions I made before I really thought about the overarching plotline and left with a product of something I feel inconsistent with my current abilities. And so, last week I published the final short, and today I'll be marking this story as complete. But like I said, this isn't the end. In fact, I have an idea for how I'm going to approach things moving forward.

I'm soft rebooting/revising The Butterfly Effect, focusing more on keeping a tighter hold on the overarching plotline and overall crafting a story aided by hindsight. There will more or less be "collections" following each of the major plotlines I've created over the years, as well as completely new ones. All necessary information would be in the novellas themselves and not with supplementary short stories. I'm unsure right now if I'll be posting them on Royal Road.
