Chapter 33: Jealous boyfie.
"Urm... I... I fell down... I fell at school," Dave mumbled, nervously glancing at Kelvin, silently pleading for support.
"What! You fell? How did that happen?" She exclaimed, guiding him to the couch and inspecting him closely. "Sit down; let me take a close look. How bad did you fall to get all these bruises? And your face! There are handprints! Are you sure you fell? Are you lying to me?"
"N-no... No, I'm not... it just..." Dave stammered.
"Look! Look! I knew it! You're lying to me! Come on, what in the world happened when we were gone? Did Kelvin do this?" She demanded, throwing a suspicious glance at Kelvin.
"Mom, do you really think I would do this to him?" Kelvin sighed, exasperated.
"We really can't say!" She huffed.
"He was held captive by some goons, but all's fine now," Kelvin explained calmly.
"CAPTIVE!? By who?" Kelvin's dad asked, shocked.
"W-what!? He was held captive!!! Oh goodness! And you didn't tell anyone!? Kelvin! What do you think would happen if anything happened to him? Look at my pretty boy's face!"
"Mom, calm down; it's not a big deal anymore. I've dealt with them," Kelvin said, trying to soothe her.
"Kelvin! Kelvin!! You could have at least told us! Wahhhhh..." She started crying.
"Mom, don't be so dramatic. Look, he's alive."
"He's alive but hurt!"
"Mom, don't worry. I'm perfectly fine. Apart from the bruises, I'm absolutely fine," Dave assured her.
"You sure? Should we take you to the hospital?"
"No, Ma, there's no need for that. The bruises will heal in a couple of days."
"Are you sure, dear?"
"Yes, Ma, I'm perfectly fine," he reassured her once more, and she enveloped him in a comforting hug.
"In the nearest future, make sure not to get yourself into any kind of trouble."
"Yes, Ma, I will stay safe from now."
"I'm about to make breakfast before you arrive. Guess I have to make you guys breakfast too," Kelvin said, heading to the kitchen.
"Don't worry, Kelvin, I will make breakfast today," Rebecca said, taking charge as she walked to the kitchen.
**A Few Hours Later**
When Dave finished breakfast at Kelvin's house, he decided to go home to check on Snow, his favorite dog. Upon arriving in his room and looking everywhere, he realized that Snow was nowhere to be found, causing him to panic.
"Kelvin! Kelvin! I can't find Snow! He's not in my room nor in his cage!" Dave said, distressed.
"Calm down, Dave. He might have gone back to where he belongs."
"No! What if he gets hurt again? What will happen to him?"
"Dave, calm down. He's a big dog; nothing can happen to him."
"That's a lie! If nothing could happen to him because he's a big dog, then why did he hurt his leg back then?"
"I'm sure the situation back then was different and more difficult; that's why he got hurt. But now that he's fully healed, he can't easily get hurt again, so just calm down and relax."
"But, but..."
"No buts, Dave. I'm sure he'll never forget you because you helped him. Him going back indicates that he has an owner or his own family, so he surely had to go back."
"I really liked him. I'll miss him a lot. Why did he have to leave? I thought he would be mine forever." Dave's voice cracked, and Kelvin's eyes darkened.
"I'm the only one that can be yours forever, no one else," Kelvin muttered in his mind as he hugged Dave.
"It's okay. Everything is in the past now. Take Snow out of your mind and keep living."
As Dave was about to respond, the doorbell rang.
*Ding Dong*
"Who could that be?" Dave wondered aloud, not expecting any visitors.
Kelvin and Dave headed downstairs, and Kelvin opened the door. Dave was surprised to see who was at the door.
"Rihanna! Jordan! Alex! All of you! What are you guys doing here? How did you find my house?" Dave asked, hugging them excitedly.
"It's a surprise. I'm so glad that you're okay," Jordan said, smiling.
Rihanna, Jordan, Alex, and the rest of their friends were there.
"Come on in," Dave invited them warmly.
"Hello, Kelvin. Good morning," they greeted.
"Yeah, good morning," Kelvin replied, watching them go in.
"Dave, we were so scared yesterday. I thought he wouldn't find you," Jordan said.
"I was so scared too. I will never let you leave anywhere at night again," Rihanna added.
"Thanks to God that you are alright," Alex said with relief.
"Yeah, you guys shouldn't worry. I'm fine. If Kelvin hadn't come to save me, I don't know what would have happened. I don't even want to think about yesterday," Dave admitted.
"Sure, sure, there's no need to think about it. He's fine and good, so let's forget about it," Jordan agreed.
After a few minutes, the room was filled with laughter and chatter as everyone relaxed, enjoying each other's company and celebrating that Dave was safe. Everyone was happy, except Kelvin, who sat at the dining table, seething with jealousy and anger that Dave's attention was on his friends instead of him.
Rising from his seat, Kelvin walked over to the group, grabbing Dave's hand, causing all eyes to turn toward him.
"Would you mind excusing him for a few minutes?" Kelvin asked, and without waiting for their response, he gently pulled Dave along with him.
"What are you doing, Kelvin?" Dave asked as Kelvin pinned him against the wall in the kitchen corner and kissed him.
"My friends are here. What if they see us?" Dave said, peeking over his shoulder nervously.
"I don't care. What are they doing here?"
"What do you mean, 'what are they doing here?' They're here to see me, of course. They were worried when I went missing yesterday, and they came to check on me. Isn't that great?"
"Yes... No... See, I know it's great, but shouldn't they have gone?"
"Haha, Kelvin, come on, don't be like this. Are you jealous that I'm talking to them instead of you? Sorry, baby," Dave teased, giving Kelvin a quick peck on the lips.
"No, I'm not jealous... It's just that... they're taking too much time."
"Really?! You're not jealous? Hmm?"
"I'm really not jealous, it's just that..." Kelvin said, lifting Dave up and making him wrap his legs around his waist.
"Whoa, Kelvin, easy."
"I've really missed you. I've really, really missed you," Kelvin confessed, kissing him deeply.
"I know, Kelvin, but we have visitors; we can't do thi—mphf," Dave's words were muffled by Kelvin's lips.
"Kelvin!" Dave hissed in a whisper when Kelvin slipped his hand under his shirt, touching his nipples.
"What's with you and my nipples all the time?"
"Don't you know? They're perky, pink, cute, soft, and I love how your chest feels plump," Kelvin replied, squeezing gently.
"Don't suck on them! Ha! Kelvin! Come on, ha~ ngl~".
**Back to the others...**
"I think Kelvin is jealous that we're here and Dave's attention is all on us," Jordan said with a chuckle.
"I think so too. Did you see his face when he came to get him? He was pissed, hahaha," Rihanna added.
"Aww, we have a jealous boyfie here," Ryan teased, and they all laughed.
"I think we should leave soon if we don't want him to eat us alive. We'll see him at school on Monday," Alex suggested, making everyone laugh again.
