Chapter 491: Rebuilding (Part 2)
Booster nodded gently, suddenly recalling Colin's meaningful words from yesterday.
Since it was just a brief introduction, Batalov's narration soon came to an end. He looked behind him and spoke softly.
"Come on up, Colin."
"Yes, Lord Batalov."
In the shadows, Colin bowed politely to Batalov and stepped out from the corner.
Brilliant sunlight streamed in from the semi-open dome, falling upon Colin and cloaking him in a radiant halo.
Colin walked slowly onto the stage, calmly gazing at all the Wizards seated in the audience before him.
The Wizards met by his gaze almost all chose to look away; no one met his eyes.
Of course, there were exceptions.
For instance, the row of Wizards seated at the very front of the audience.
Some smiled at Colin, some wore impassive expressions... Regardless of their expressions, Colin's face remained unchanged, and he didn't linger his gaze on any of them for even a second.
He simply calmly scanned the Wizards in the audience from left to right, as if he were a sovereign reviewing his subordinates.
In fact, he truly was a sovereign, provided... the coronation ceremony proceeded smoothly.
"Do you have anything to say, Colin?" Batalov asked.
Colin paused and shook his head gently.
Batalov did not insist and continued in a deep voice:
"Then next, I will crown the Miracle Master."
Batalov's voice came from behind, and up to this point, everything had gone smoothly.
Colin stood calmly at the front of the high platform, feeling countless gazes directed at him.
The audience wasn't large; there were less than a thousand Wizards, but they represented the majority of power on the Siya Continent.
They watched Colin, and Colin watched them.
Finally, as Batalov prepared to take out the golden crown and golden scepter that represented the supreme authority of the Miracle Master according to protocol.
The Wizards in the audience could no longer maintain their composure.
"Lord Batalov, I have objections to the choice of this Miracle Master!"
On the left-hand side, a Third Rank Wizard suddenly stood up from the corner.
Batalov's face suddenly darkened as he looked at the Third Rank Wizard.
The latter felt the gaze of the Supreme Councilman and his face turned pale, sweat appearing on his forehead.
"Does Gerardo have different opinions... It is true, according to tradition, members of the Supreme Council indeed have the right to express opinions and suggestions on the selection of the Miracle Master."
Another Third Rank Wizard suddenly spoke.
Colin's expression remained calm, but inwardly he sneered with disdain.
What a clumsy trick, hiding and revealing without daring to speak directly!
These so-called noble Pureblood Wizards, the hypocritical and disgusting appearance hidden deep in their bones, he had long since seen clearly on his journey!
Certainly, there were praiseworthy individuals like Neustadt, Ryden, and Mill among them.
But more often, they were a group of shortsighted fools stubbornly adhering to old ways, causing Wizard civilization to stagnate!
Perhaps at the beginning, those Wizards who founded Pureblood Families were still fighting for the Wizard Clan.
They attempted to consolidate most of the resources on a select few Wizards to create more High Rank Wizards, thereby strengthening the Wizard Clan's power to defeat the Divine.
In a world where great power resided in oneself, this idea was fundamentally sound.
After all, one Fourth Rank Wizard is far more important than a hundred Third Rank Wizards.
High Rank power is the key to determining the life and death of a race.
But unfortunately… it ultimately couldn't withstand human nature.
This system eventually deviated from its original purpose... leading the Wizard Clan to decline more and more.
Colin's thoughts swirled in his mind. Having past life experiences, he saw through the fundamental problems faced by the Wizard World very clearly.
It's time to change these...
On the day in the Cloud Palace, the reason he accepted the Supreme Councilman's proposal and took on the heavy burden of Miracle Master... was because he had already made up his mind to solve this long-standing disease parasitizing Wizards!
Perhaps he didn't have such a strong vision before, but now—
He wants to save this world!
Gazing at the audience before him, Colin's expression became increasingly serene, like a deep, unfathomable pool.
But his golden eyes were growing ever brighter, as if containing a powerful lightning strong enough to cut through all thorns!
He intends to personally disperse the dark clouds lingering over the Yanan World, allowing the beauty born on glaciers and every moment that feels warm to him to exist eternally!
On the high platform, like Colin, Batalov temporarily remained silent without speaking.
This silence seemed to encourage the Wizards below the stage.
Opposing voices rose one after another.
Finally, a certain Fourth Rank Wizard in the front row spoke, his hair slightly white, his face stern. It was Lentria from Graham.
"Lord Batalov, the establishment of the Miracle Master concerns the future of the entire Wizard Clan and requires careful consideration."
"I think we should take a vote..."
"I support Colin becoming the Miracle Master!"
Suddenly, a voice interrupted Lentria's statement.
Colin looked in the direction of the voice and saw Gal from Nolan Continent suddenly standing up and speaking in a deep voice.
Seeing Colin's gaze upon him, Gal also gave him a slight bow.
Sitting next to him, Booster and Graham also stood up. Although they said nothing, they clearly indicated their firm stance.
Sitting in the front row, Lentria turned his head, frowning at these three Wizards from Nolan Continent.
Gal met his gaze fearlessly.
Since Colin took the stage, this wise Wizard had already known what choice to make.
Whether out of sentiment or for other reasons, every Wizard from Nolan Continent should obviously fully support Colin in becoming the Miracle Master!
"I also support Colin becoming the Miracle Master."
Just as the auditorium was momentarily quiet, another voice suddenly spoke.
The voice came from the front row, even right next to Lentria.
"Lord Neustadt..." Lentria frowned slightly, somewhat amazed.
In his view, a Wizard like Neustadt who comes from a top Pureblood Family, despite having good relations with Colin, should stand on the same side with him on matters of such importance.
But now...
It must be said, Lentria's investigation into Colin was far too insufficient... or rather, he did not understand Neustadt.
Neustadt's expression remained calm, providing no additional explanation.
The one-sided situation in the auditorium suddenly became complex at this moment.
The entire auditorium fell silent once more.
"Does anyone else have any other opinions?" Batalov broke the silence.
The whole room remained silent.
Batalov stated calmly: "Then, the coronation ceremony will continue."
Without waiting for Lentria and others to rebut, he said sternly: "Please remember, we are announcing the coronation of the Miracle Master, not seeking opinions."
"From today on, Colin will be the true and the only Miracle Master!"
With that, the aura exclusive to the Supreme Councilman enveloped the entire auditorium, under this powerful pressure, even Lentria couldn't help but turn pale and dared not speak further.
Batalov turned around, took out the golden crown and scepter of the Miracle Master, and walked towards Colin.
"Lord Batalov."
However, at this moment, Colin stepped forward and extended his arm.
Batalov was slightly taken aback, but as he watched the calm face of the young man before him, he inexplicably smiled and handed the crown and scepter to him.
Colin thanked softly, and holding the scepter and crown, he turned around. As he donned the crown himself and gazed at the Wizards before him, he suddenly chuckled:
"Whether you accept it or not, I am already the Miracle Master."
"But if you think I want to rule over you, you couldn't be more wrong."
"Miracle City, I only want one city—Graham City."
"According to the rules of war, it is on the list of exchanges for battle merits, isn't it?" Colin smiled at Lentria, then withdrew his gaze and continued quietly:
"I will rebuild the entire Wizard civilization there."
