The Beautiful Boss's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 756: 680

Wu Xu, though slow to catch on feelings, could also see Guan Xiaoyun's fondness for him, and he couldn't help but feel flattered. However, Wu Xu was no lecher; unprepared to pursue anything, he was unwilling to hurt such an innocent and lovely girl.

With that in mind, Wu Xu walked straight to the school gym.

Just as he entered the gym, Wu Xu twitched.

At that moment, there were quite a few people inside the gym, not just the players but Coach Chen Gao, along with a whole bunch of school leaders, and what made Wu Xu most uneasy was that there were even two police officers there!

The two police officers, one male and one female, were talking to Coach Chen.

As Wu Xu walked in, everyone's eyes turned to look at him at the same time.

Because of Assassin Girl, Wu Xu felt guilty, and seeing this situation, his face couldn't help but go pale.

"Xu is here! There are two police officers here who want to talk to you about something; it's nothing serious," Coach Chen said casually.

Wu Xu felt somewhat relieved. It seemed it wasn't about Assassin Girl. Hmm, could it be about Director Yu being beaten?

But looking at Ding Ye and his two buddies fiddling with their fingers, acting like model students, it didn't seem to be about that either?

"Are you Wu Xu?" The female police officer walked over, looking at Wu Xu with a stern face.

Wu Xu smiled and nodded, watching the female officer.

Surprisingly, this female police officer was pretty attractive; fair skin, big eyes with a somewhat juvenile look, and also not lacking in the chest department, perky and upright with a classic S-figure! A juvenile-faced girl with a big chest!!

Wu Xu's gaze flashed, but the female officer caught it and her eyebrows immediately furrowed with a hint of disgust in her eyes.

Wu Xu silently cursed himself; this was not a good first impression with the police, which meant trouble.

"Alright then, come with me, I want to understand a situation," the female officer said and took Wu Xu to a small room, where she pulled out a notebook, looked at Wu Xu with a serious expression and asked, "You know Shi Miao, right?".

"Shi Miao?" Wu Xu was taken aback, then remembered the gloomy look he'd seen on Shi Miao's face yesterday. Could it be that the guy really had an accident? Keeping his composure, he smiled subtly: "Of course, we are both from the city sports center, he's like my senior."

"Did you two have any conflicts yesterday?" The female officer's eyes were sharp as if trying to see through Wu Xu.

Wu Xu calmly replied, "There was something, yet there wasn't."

The female officer frowned and pressed on, "Don't be evasive. Right now, Shi Miao is lying in the hospital because of a car accident, and I suspect it was you who did it. Do you admit it or not?"

This sudden questioning from the female officer left Wu Xu a bit stunned, then he subconsciously replied, "A car accident? What car accident?"

"Hmph, the law is vast and leaves no holes, won't you confess?"

Wu Xu was getting annoyed, sure he did some harmless bad things, but it had nothing to do with Shi Miao, right? "You're quite a beauty, but when it comes to pinning charges, you're not so nice inside."

"Officer Comrade, you need evidence to arrest someone. For Shi Miao's incident, can't you tell it's a car accident or a setup? Besides, I have an alibi! On what grounds do you accuse me? Huh, are you suggesting it's because I put a poison curse on him?" Wu Xu scoffed mockingly.

The female officer was a little taken aback and said, "That's what Shi Miao claimed."

"I'm done!" Wu Xu almost lost it; just because he said so, you're really suspecting me? Wu Xu looked at the female officer as if she was an idiot and said, "So, if I curse you, are you going to end up in a car crash or something?"

The female officer looked embarrassed; she had taken such a superstitious claim as a real reason. But Wu Xu's attitude was unacceptable – after all, she was a police officer. Her eyes widened with anger, "Regardless, you are still a suspect. You two had a dispute, and he gets into a car accident an hour after leaving, doesn't that sound unreasonable?"

Wu Xu didn't bother explaining. There were so many people in the world with disputes leading to incidents. Does it mean all should be wrongfully accused?

"Hmph! Got nothing to say now, right?" The female officer said with pride.

Wu Xu paused for a moment and then said, "Miss, did you just graduate from the police academy?"

"How did you... argh! None of your business!" The female officer exploded with anger.

"No wonder. I can understand this time, but I hope next time you'll be more mature when handling cases. Don't take reasons like curses so seriously, or you'll be the laughingstock – which won't be cool."

"You!"

"I have other matters to attend to. If you don't have solid evidence against me, please don't bother me, or I reserve the right to file a complaint," Wu Xu said and turned to leave.

"You! Bastard, we shall see," the female officer was fuming with rage.

"Are you okay, Xu?"

The loud argument from inside the room could be clearly heard by everyone outside; Coach Chen was somewhat concerned.

"It's nothing. Just being asked a few questions," Wu Xu replied with a smile and then curiously asked, "Coach Chen, did Shi Miao really have a car accident?"

Coach Chen's face turned grim: "I must've been blind to judge him wrongly. That scoundrel left early yesterday, ignoring the other staff of the sports center, went off on his own and ended up in a car accident. Although it's nothing serious, he has to be hospitalized for a few months. I can't believe he accused you of cursing him and reported it to the police."

Wu Xu was speechless; it turned out Shi Miao had taken his words from yesterday seriously!
