The Baby Isn’t Yours

Chapter 109:

Splash.

Kalia and Simon enjoyed the hazy, steam-filled hot spring, half-laying on top of each other, reveling in their languidness.

After swimming to their heart’s content in the cold water, the hot spring was as sweet as honey.

The two focused solely on each other, setting aside their complicated thoughts for the moment.

“To be honest, I still feel a bit strange.”

Kalia murmured as she watched Simon, who was lying face down in the large tub, his body wet with water.

Her eyes were blurry as she looked at her man, who was wet and shiny.

“What do you mean?”

“These moments right now.”

“What about them? Do you want me to make real for you?”

Simon raised an eyebrow and teased Kalia.

Patting Simon’s silvery hair that sparkled with moisture, Kalia spoke maliciously.

“Yes. Do it. Come on, Simon. Don’t just talk.”

“I really… am holding back. You know that?”

“I don’t know. So don’t hold back and come at me.”

‘So what should I really do…’

Simon, who was giving Kalia a stern look, ran his hands through his hair in frustration.

They were a newlywed couple who burned with passion more than twelve times a day, yet they couldn’t even enjoy it.

Even with such a restrained  wife.

“I’m in a dilemma….”

Simon muttered dejectedly, leaving small, hungry kisses on Kalia’s bare shoulder and neck, expressing his regret.

“But Simon, now you’re good at riding a horse. Have you never been able to ride a horse?”

Simon looked at Kalia as if wondering what she meant.

“Why… back then. When we were 17? You were riding with me, learning how to ride horses, and you fell and hurt your leg. You fell off the horse then…”

“Oh.”

He remembered when it was.

Simon smiled wryly, thinking back to that time.

At that time, he realized that he was starting to like Kalia.

Kalia, who was drenched in sweat and wielded a sword the size of her body every day and had bruises all over her body, was pretty, so Simon ran to her after class.

At the time, he was stuck with Kalia, who was taking horse riding lessons.

Whenever Kalia asked him why he kept coming, he would make up an excuse that he wanted to learn horse riding. But in the end, he fell off the horse and broke his leg.

‘…Oh, I really hated it.’

Thinking back then, Simon felt a little embarrassed. He was a weak and fragile boy who couldn’t even ride a horse properly. He slipped off the horse right away and broke his leg. Instead of learning how to ride, he ended up running to the infirmary with Kalia’s help.

In the end, instead of learning to ride, he ran to the infirmary riding Kalia’s horse.

It was a story of humiliation.

And that was not the end of his humiliation just for hurting his leg that day.

“Since you arrived, I thought you would never get up the horse. I thought the horse might have given you some trauma or something.”

Kalia hugged him and rushed to the infirmary, but Saimon couldn’t feel the pain caused by his broken leg. He was too busy trying to resist the temptation of being close to the girl he liked.

Every time the horse ran, their bodies would collide, making it hard for Simon to control his raging hormones.

Simon hated his weak body, but he couldn’t help it. He tried to control himself, but Kalia’s breath in his ear made him give in completely.

“Why… aren’t you getting off?”

Simon couldn’t even look directly at Kalia, who jumped off her horse and came over to him.

He couldn’t even get off the horse without embarrassing himself further.

It was a situation where there was no doubt that he would be humiliated if he showed a mischievous appearance.

“Ah, is it because your leg hurts? Can I give you a hug?”

Simon couldn’t even look at Kalia properly as she offered to hug him, thinking he might be in pain.

In the end, Simon yelled as he hugged the horse.

“Someone else…call someone else, quickly!”

He yelled so loudly with a red face full of embarrassment.

At the time, Kalia looked at Simon with surprised eyes as he screamed for no apparent reason, and quickly called someone over.

Thinking back to that moment, Simon replied bitterly,

“If you’re mentally weak enough to be traumatized just because you fell off a horse, I would have left the Tower before even hearing the word ‘Archmage’.”

“Well, yeah.”

Kalia’s clear smile as she agreed was annoying to Simon.

He nibbled on her earlobe, which was always tempting to him. He just couldn’t stop biting his lips when Kalia was around.

“There was a reason I couldn’t come down from the horse back then…you didn’t know, did you?”

“A reason? What reason was it?”

As Simon looked at Kalia quietly, he grabbed both of her cheeks that he had been stroking and stretched them.

“It’s a secret.”

She stared at him without blinking, following his every tug.

Even her stretched-out face was beautiful.

‘I must be crazy.’

How could a woman who had turned it inside out so many times because she was so obtuse still look so pretty?

‘Really crazy, just crazy.’

He said with a sigh and shaking his head.

“Let’s ride together next time.”

“Huh?”

“Then, you’ll ride in front of me. And I’ll ride behind you.”

“…Will I be able to figure it out then?”

“Yeah, you’ll definitely know for sure. I’ll make sure of it.”

Although Kalia still didn’t quite understand, Simon didn’t want to explain any further.

He raised the temperature of the water that was beginning to cool down and looked up at the night sky that had already fallen.

“Let’s go outside now. I’m hungry, should I ask for something to eat?”

“I am a little hungry”.

It was when they were leisurely finishing their rest and getting out of the hot tub.

They heard footsteps running across the hallway.

“…Master! Lady Kalia!”

The echoing voice was familiar.

It was Derek’s voice, who had been lying down feeling nauseous.

Wondering what was going on, the two of them stopped dressing and stared at each other.

Before Simon could confirm, gesturing to open the door, the door suddenly opened.

“Master! Simon! Si…”

The problem was that Kalia had not yet closed the gap in her gown.

She wasn’t fidgeting to show off her figure, but her man was different.

“…Sleep. Sleep, Sleep! Sleep!”

“Oh.”

Click.

Before Derek’s gaze could reach Kalia, Simon put him to sleep in succession.

With the terrifying sleep spell that spread out over twelve circles, Derek, who was holding the door handle, fell backwards and fainted without even closing his eyes.

“…Simon.”

Kalia stared at him in amazement, but Simon’s face was indifferent.

He was looking at Derek with a cold gaze.

Ugh.

Kalia sighed as if she couldn’t stop him and approached Derek, clutching her gown tightly.

If Derek, who had been in pain, had come running like this, something must have happened.

She lightly tapped Derek’s cheek with her palm, but the magic was so strong that he didn’t wake up.

In the end, Simon woke him up again with awakening magic.

“Uh…”

Even though Derek groaned, he couldn’t open his eyes, so Kalia lightly tapped his cheek again.

“Derek.”

Derek weakly raised his hand towards Kalia as he faintly opened his eyes.

“Fairy…?”

Derek muttered incoherently, still not fully aware of his surroundings.

Immediately, a chill began to emanate from around Simon as soon as the words left Derek’s mouth.

“Geez, Derek, you need to cool your head a bit,” Simon said

The chill turned into ice and surrounded Derek’s forehead, causing him to jump up from his spot.

“Oh! Lady Kalia! Ah, that’s right! You need to hurry over there. Sasha, I mean, the baby…!” Derek shouted, his face turning white.

At Sasha’s words, Kalia and Simon’s faces stiffened abruptly.

Without waiting for a moment, Kalia grabbed Derek’s shoulder and shouted with a pale face.

“He has hatched a dragon!”

* * *

“Kyaaah!”

“Kyao kyao!”

Kalia and Simon blinked their eyes in disbelief at the incredible sight.

Like them, Allen was also stunned, watching the newly-born Hatchling, Sasha, and the elementals playing around.

The snow-white baby Hatchling stuck to Sasha’s side, looking warily at Kalia and Simon who appeared out of nowhere.

“What the hell is this?”

It was an unbelievable sight.

To break through the tough shell of the egg, the baby Hatchling needed explosive magical power to weaken the shell. Therefore, even during the growth process, magical power was necessary, and more magical power was needed for the final hatching.

Born like that, Hatchling recognizes the owner of the magic that gave birth to him. And follows him like a parent.

But now, the one playing with Hatchling is not a wizard, but a baby named Sasha.

“Did Allen break the egg by any chance?”

No matter how much Allen tried to explain, he couldn’t make sense of it.

“Unfortunately, I don’t know how to handle magic. Miss Kalia.”

“Did you drop it…?”

“That… Is it an egg that will break if it falls?”

‘That’s right.’

Kalia nodded as if agreeing.

“Then did Sasha really hatch it….? How?”

“Well, I’m not sure about that either…”

No one could understand this situation.

Even the Archmage Simon had a confused look on his face.

As he approached his son and Hatchling, Hatchling shielded him, showing his small but strong teeth.

“Grrr!”

“It’s unbelievable. Hey little guy…he’s my son, you know?”

When Simon tried to lift Sasha with his hand under his armpit, Hatchling opened his mouth wide and bit Simon’s wrist.

While Sasha just watched, the strength of Hatchling ‘s teeth, strong enough to bite through a dragon’s arm, was remarkable.

As he wondered if he should suppress him, Sasha’s small hand climbed up on top of the dragon’s head and he let out a word.

“Goo-goo.”
