The Author Reincarnated As An Extra

Chapter : Intro: Gates of The Primordials

The world of Uxetor was a fantastical, dark and immense world created by the writer, Jarren Fletcher where the events of his novel, Gates of the Primordials took place.

Uxetor was an acronym for the Unexplained Existence of The Overlapping Realms. This encompassed the three realms of Uxetor which overlapped each other.

The lowest was the Mortal Realm where humans lived, above them was Middle Realm where the Paragons habited, and finally, above all of them was the Primordial Realm where the creators of Uxetor reigned as distinct and powerful Gods.

Before the creation of Uxetor, nothing existed apart from the Vacant Eternal. Then, beings known as the Ancients manifested from the Vacant Eternal.

Dream, the first Ancient, dared to conceive thought itself — imagining something where there was once nothing.

This action split the force inside the Vacant Eternal into two consumable energies: Aether and Void.

Aether was the energy of creation, and Void was the energy of destruction.

Eons passed and the Cosmic Resonance occurred, creating new beings from the Vacant Eternal. These beings were the Primordials, and they had a stronger affinity to wield the two energies (Aether and Void) compared to the Ancients.

The Primordials were more ambitious and immediately thought of things they could use the energies to do. That was when they decided to create subjects who they could rule over as Gods.

The Paragons were created. They were given that name to signify that they were the apex of creativity.

However, because of the excessive use of the energies to create them, the Paragons possessed high affinity for the energies and in time, grew too powerful and threatened to challenge the Primordials.

The Ancients were angry about the reckless use of the energies. But the Primordials didn't back down. Though they were more careful in their next attempt.

After punishing the Paragons and sealing the Primordial Realm with the Heavenly Aegis, they moved on to their next creation — mortals.

Mortals were made weaker than the Paragons, devoid of the energies that had corrupted their predecessors.

They lived obediently, and worshipped the Primordials. But once the Paragons discovered about the Primordials' new creation, they began to descend into the Mortal Realm in incursion events that were called Waves.

Every year, the Paragons waged war on the mortals during these Waves, killing as many of them as possible to spite the Primordials.

In order to give the mortals an opportunity to fight back against the Paragons, the Primordials created a challenge called the Gate Trials.

They did not want to grant mortals access to Aether and Void freely, fearing another rebellion. Instead, the Gate Trials became a means for mortals to earn their power.

Every year, children from ages sixteen to twenty two were Marked, meaning they have been chosen for the Gate Trials. The number of Marks a child has equals the amount of potential they possess.

From then, Marked Children were gathered every year and taken to the desert ends of the Mortal Realm. Once the Gates manifested, they would enter inside and face all gruesome 10 Trials inside 10 separate Corridors before coming out as Mancers.

One could either be an Aethermancer or a Voidmancer depending on which energy their Soul Core aligns itself to.

Mancers were then trained harshly in the Guild to become powerful enough to join in the battle against the next Wave and other Waves to come, defending the Mortal Realm for the rest of their lives.

At the center of it all stood Zenith Moonbreak, the Flamekeeper from Durt Kartana, destined to end the Waves and bring an end to the Paragon Race.

But now that Jarren Fletcher is in his own novel, who knows what and what could change?

☆ ☆ ☆

Hey there! Welcome to my new novel and my first take on the extra trope. To be honest, this story wasn't initially intended to be an extra novel, but I was eager to try on the popular trope and I twisted the storyline to suit the vision!

I'm trying to build a community, so please, if you love the story, leave a comment, leave a like on comments, say something nice, say something harsh, drop power stones, golden tickets, gifts, or any support you can offer!

If you're interested in a Discord, let me know! If there's enough interest, I'll create one and do my best to manage it.

Thank you! Hope you have a fun read.
