The Archmagi of Technology

As the group stood within the transport circle Virgil began chanting words in a language different from Latin, it seemed much older.

While chanting a light began appearing in the center of the circle and grew to fill it. Before they could even question what was happening they were all transported away from the Belmont estate away from this world.

"Where are we? Is this Azaroth?" Wally asked

"No...I don't remember there being a forest like this," Virgil said looking around

To all their shock the group was transported into a dense forest that seemed endless.

"Virgil, where are we? I thought you said we were going to Azaroth" Raven asked

"What's funny?" Wally asked

"And you still haven't told us where we are," Zatanna said looking around

"Yes I'm sorry but we had to take a quick detour. Don't worry while we are here we don't have to worry about Ravens' father,"

"But where are we?"

"This is called a dungeon. A place for all of us to get stronger by killing monsters," Virgil replied

"Wait killing monster what do you mean?" Raven asked

"It is easier if I show you just follow me," Virgil replied walking deeper into the forest 

To his delight, they did not have to walk long before running into a monster a low-level goblin.

"Eww, what is that thing?" Zatanna asked looking at the hideous small creature

"That is a goblin, they are nothing to worry about because they are weak but they usually work in large numbers which will overwhelm most people," Virgil replied

As Virgil explained the goblin to the others the goblin saw them and began charging at them.

"Virgil watch out, Erif" Zatanna said before a fireball shot out from her gloves and hit the goblin

Once the baseball size fireball made contact with the goblin it engulfed into a large flame and died a few moments later

Once he received the notification he looked over at Zatanna who was coated in a golden light for a few seconds before disappearing.

"W-what was that? I...I feel weird no stronger if only slightly" Zatanna said examining her body

"That's called leveling up. As long as you are in this dungeon you will gain experience from killing monsters and level up after a certain amount of time,"

"So like a video game?" Wally asked

"Yes just like a Video game,"

"I see, so what would be the best way to 'level up'?" Raven asked

"Simple we will each go our separate ways and level up. This Dungeon has four bosses I have already decided which one you will all fight. Wally will go east and deal with Nagas and the Naga Queen. Zatanna you will go west and fight the Orcs and Orc Chief. Raven, you will go south and fight the Tiger Guardian and his army,"

"Orcs? like those large green things, Wally fights in his games?" Zatanna asked

"Yup. You need to work on multiple enemies that work in unison,"

"Okay, but what's a Naga?" Wally asked

"A Huminod snake with acid spit and hypnotic magic. I chose that for you to work on dealing this things that use magic. And to work on your Running. With these enemies dodging one attack won't work,"

"What about mine? The Tiger Gaurdian and its army?" 

"Yes. It is a test before you can face your father and his armies of demons. If you can't beat it you will never defeat your father," Virgil stated bluntly

"...I see,"

"What about you what will you be fighting?" Zatanna asked

"Don't worry It's just a nest of monsters. You guys focus on yourself okay," 

"Please I will be back in a few minutes," Wally laughed before running off

"I just don't like how they look from Wally's game I hope they don't smell," Zatanna sighed before walking off

With a small grin, he watched the two walk away. Right as he was about to leave he saw Raven still standing there her back facing him. Walking up to her he placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't worry I know you can beat this...You just have to believe in yourself," Virgil said with a small smile

Hearing his words of encouragement Raven gave a small smile before thanking him and walking away.

Once they were all gone Virgil's smile disappeared and his face became cold.

"Jinwoo come here," 

Stepping out of Virgil's shadow Jinwoo kneeled before him

"Yes my lord,"

"Watch them. I know they can face these monsters but make sure they stay alive and use these potions if you have to," Virgil ordered handing Jinwoo healing potions

"Yes my Lord," Jinwoo said before disappearing 

"Now...Let's go kill a Lich," Virgil grinned before dashing north
