The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 785: Plague Department Main God

Jin Xunu used the Circulation Light Disc to trap the deities of the Twenty-Eight Constellations. The two elders of the Shang Family faced the Earth Star Lord, Tian Chi Master faced the Master Wood Star, the Shaoyang God Monarch faced the Fire Star Lord, Taibai Immortal faced the Golden Star Lord, Trap Void Ancestor faced the Water Star Lord, Huo Wuhai faced the Deity of the Sun, and Deng Bagu faced the Deity of the Moon.

Master Chi Zhang led the group of immortals to guard the ground, facing the Sixty Jiazi, Tai Sui Plague God, as well as the Giant Spirit, Leopard Tail, Yaksha, the Thirty-Six Heavenly Gang, and the Seventy-two Earthly Fiends, all of whom came charging fiercely.

This level of a duel, only Earth Immortals have the opportunity to intervene, and they must be outstanding among Earth Immortals, possessing powerful Magical Treasures; otherwise, they become cannon fodder upon arrival. Even a Heavenly Soldier, wielding a divine artifact, could instantly slay a rogue immortal who dares approach!

At the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain, East and West Coast, mountain peaks, valleys, and fields, throughout various palaces, even the central ocean, islands above the sea, and underwater palaces, everywhere there are Heavenly Soldiers and Generals. Some even dive into the Red Lotus Hell to slay ghosts and demons, engaging in battle with masters like One Light Master.

Both sides wrought havoc upon heaven and earth. Everyone, every monster, every insect faced their tribulation. Even if they hid well and didn't face Heavenly Soldiers and Generals, natural summoning would manifest Thunder Fire on their form and spirit.

Even a disciple with weak mana, an ordinary city dweller, a newborn mountain beast, or a young sea creature faced their destiny!

Each plant and tree, every grain of sand at the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain was constantly refined by Thunder Fire.

The Mo Zhui brothers, along with a group of Plant Spirits, barely passed the previous natural tribulations of Thunder Fire.

The herbs collected by Shi Feiyang were all mere Mortal Land herbs, with only a few dropped from the Spiritual Space Immortal Realm, tainted with Dull Energy. Now aiming for Ascension to the Nine Heavens Immortal Realm attracted a significant heavenly tribulation. Except for over twenty herbs with great fortune, others were destroyed by Thunder Fire, leaving the mountains scorched and blackened.

Fortunately, Shi Feiyang taught them a setup instruction beforehand, rooting them into the Three Lights Divine Water.

His Three Lights Divine Water partially nourished the Five Elements Lotus Platform, some preserved in the Top Three Flowers, and the rest placed among the Plant Spirits in the soil below.

The Three Lights Divine Water came from Heaven and didn't attract Heavenly Thunder, providing refuge for the Primordial Spirits of these Plant Spirits.

Yet, transforming Mortal Land to Immortal Land, and Mortal herbs to Immortal Herbs isn't easy. Even in the Three Lights Divine Water, they couldn't escape the Thunder Fire tribulation, though it became minor. Ultimately, they must succeed in the physical refinement to dispel the tribulation, or it would persist relentlessly.

The Mo Zhui brothers, with deep Dao Level and abundant Merit, relied on the Heaven and Earth Quiet Circle to safely navigate through the fiercest tribulations, achieving physical refinement through heavenly trials, becoming Immortal Herbs.

Especially Mo Zhui and Ganoderma Immortal, having already attained the Yang God state, faced less severe heavenly tribulations.

They remembered Shi Feiyang's prior guidance, recognizing the smoky multicolored clouds in the distant sky, and knowing it signaled the arrival of the Plague Gods. The brothers promptly approached them.

The Main God of the Plague Department also came to conduct tribulations!

However, the plague tribulation differed from Thunder Fire and could be addressed and avoided.

All the main divine officials of the Plague Department were present, including the Twelve-Year Disease God King, Five Emperors' Envoy, Seventy-two Period Saints, Twenty-four Sacred Beings, Major Plague Judge, Medicine Distributor, Disaster Dispeller, Plague Poison Envoy, and even the Envoys of Livestock Plague!

Alongside them were Wind and Fire Sovereign, Pox Goddess, Bitter Drink Crone, Sweat Judge, Sudden Cold and Heat Monarch, Head-binding God, Pox and Vaccine God, Five Throat Gods, Red-eyed Diarrhea God, Vomiting and Hemorrhage God, Heart Piercing and Belly Nailing Messenger, Cold and Heat Envoy…

The Twenty-five Plague God Monarchs of Heaven and Earth Plagues, Twenty-four Gu God Monarchs of Heaven and Earth Gu, Thirty-six Plague Gods of Heaven and Earth Disease...

There were also Mountain Plague, House Plague, Well Plague, Stove Plague, Yin Plague, Yang Plague, and many other plague gods.

A massive cluster of plague gods, grotesque in appearance, wielding gourd bags, treasure umbrellas, and treasure bottles, riding on billowing clouds of multicolored plague, descended terrifyingly!

If these Plague Gods unleashed their full power, using all their might and releasing everything in their hands, not just the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain, but even the entire Shushan World's creatures would face total annihilation, leaving no birds, beasts, insects, or fish!

Compared to this, the hundred poisons refined by the Green Robe Ancestor from plants and insects seemed like child's play!

Upon seeing the Plague Gods descending, Master Chi Zhang was the first to feel tense. His constant interactions with Upper Realm True Immortals informed him of the Plague Gods' power. Though the Plague Gods couldn't harm him, nor could they easily harm Immortals with Pure Yang cultivation, for ordinary beings, they were indiscriminately deadly to all!

To prevent the group of immortals and monsters from fearing and retreating, Shi Feiyang had not disclosed the looming battle with the Heavenly Court to them, including Master Chi Zhang.

While Master Chi Zhang knew this possibility and deemed the battle almost inevitable, he clung to luck due to his divination, speculating about a tacit understanding between Shi Feiyang and the Heavenly God through the Heavenly Treasure Mirror, thinking the conflict might resolve peacefully. It wasn't until the battle erupted that he regretted, realizing there was no such understanding, it was inevitable…

Now with Plague Gods' arrival, he couldn't withstand them. It wasn't that he couldn't defeat these Plague Gods, but he couldn't stop the plague miasma from spreading. Even if he dispersed the Plague Gods, breaking their Primordial Spirits to return to the Investiture of the Gods for resurrection, once the miasma dispersed, the number of survivors on the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain could be counted on two hands!

While pondering how to handle the situation, the Mo Zhui brothers rushed over, skimming past Tongye Island, headed straight towards the Plague Gods.

Master Chi Zhang, being sophisticated in Dao Level, immediately grasped Shi Feiyang's intention and mused, "Fellow Daoist Shi, you are indeed ruthless! Ruthless to yourself, ruthless to your peers!"

He sighed because Shi Feiyang entrusted the task of blocking the Plague God to Mo Zhui and their four Immortal Herbs.

The four little figures blocked the cloud of the Plague God and politely greeted him as Shi Feiyang had taught them beforehand.

A Plague Department God Monarch, towering with a blue face and tusks, his hair wild, looked down at the little figures below.

Although Mo Zhui and the others were smaller than the God Monarch's toes, two of them had already cultivated into Yang Gods, capable of ascending freely, directly entering the Spiritual Space.

Among these Plague Gods, many did not ascend through their own cultivation, but relied on either moving Heaven by filial piety or extremely commendable actions in the Human World, with some even being formerly malevolent Ghost Kings. By chance, they found favor outside the law from the Heavenly Emperor, were granted a talisman and ascended to Heaven, receiving clergy positions, though their rank is even less than Lu Rongbo.

Yet, after nurturing themselves between Heaven and Earth for many years, their mana grew, and wielding divine artifacts, their overall strength became formidable. However, when seeing Heavenly Immortals who have genuinely cultivated into Yang Gods, they too would first show some deference.

If not for Mo Zhui and Ganoderma Immortal achieving Yang God status, they wouldn't have even looked more than once, directly sending each of them a plague aura with the flick of a finger, instantly plague-killing them!

Mo Zhui first asked the Plague God why he came to spread plague, harming all living beings.

The Plague Department God Monarch loudly accused them of acting against Heaven, not taking the ascension's right path, not waiting for the Heavenly Emperor's decree, forcibly entering Heaven, violating the heavenly rules, and deserving to be entirely executed.

Both sides explained their reasoning, and then Mo Zhui proposed a gamble: "Us four, against you esteemed Plague Gods seniors, four battles in a row. If we all die, the creatures below can be slaughtered at your will, but if we still have one surviving, please show mercy and return to Heaven!"

The Plague Gods had come by the decree of the Heavenly, how could they gamble with them? Mo Ying kept mocking and taunting, finally provoking one of the Disease God Kings, who shouted, "I'll kill you wild grasses first!" and threw a mass of gray disease gas at Mo Ying.

Mo Ying was unafraid, opening his mouth to swallow the disease gas.

Mo Zhui realized the danger, for this was released by the Disease God King, and there were twelve such kings, one per year, a twelve-year cycle, each king's disease gas differing, dictating the number of illnesses all beings suffer in the Three Realms each year according to Earthly Branches yearnames.

Mo Ying's Daoist power level was only at Earth Immortal level, and being a Purple River Grass conducive to Golden Core and Nascent Soul formation, if he really inhaled that breath of disease gas, he might not die but would surely lose half his life!

He pushed Mo Ying aside, and Ganoderma Immortal, according to their prior arrangement, stepped forward and inhaled that mass of disease gas.

Then Mo Zhui said, "Esteemed seniors, don't underestimate us. As long as we're here today, no matter how much disease gas you release, we'll absorb it all and not let any leak out. Therefore, if you don't plague-kill us first, you can't harm even an earthworm below."

The Plague Gods were furious upon hearing this, "We'll turn you into four withered grasses now!"

They came to plague-kill all beings on the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain, with Mo Zhui and the others naturally included.

The twelve kings each released a mass of disease gas, all swallowed by Ganoderma Immortal. Observing that the millennium-meat Ganoderma had become a Yang God, not to be underestimated, they each took out their plague-spreading divine artifacts.

The other Plague Gods also acted swiftly, one releasing disease gas, another plague aura, and another pox aura...

Initially, they were only testing with attacks, but later they began to unleash their power, consecutively sacrificing their Dispersing Plague Whip, Plague Umbrella, Plague Bell, Plague Flag, Black Plague Arrow, White Plague Gun, Five Directions Five Pox Flag, Vaccination Gourd... all sorts of divine artifacts one by one.

Mo Zhui and the others had already agreed on a strategy, any poison gas that could cause illness would be wholly inhaled by Ganoderma Immortal, anything causing injury would be absorbed by Mo Zhui, and anything that was poisonous would be taken in by Mo Xiang.

Various kinds of plague, pestilence, epidemic, sickness, pox, and zhai, their toxic gases covering the sky, engulfing a thousand miles, were entirely swallowed by the three little figures like whales drinking water into their bellies.

They were extraordinarily gifted and possessed powerful Daoist strength, having diligently improved every year with merit protection, first nurturing their roots with True Water and then nurturing their spirits with Three Lights Divine Water. Even so, they couldn't withstand such massive amounts of toxic gases; the three began to show signs of fatigue rapidly. Their bodies, far in the valleys of the continent behind, started to fall ill, with leaves turning yellow, purples appearing in places, patches growing fur, or others looking as if scorched, full of holes.

Other plant spirits clustered around them, each performing as directed earlier by Mo Zhui, forming a circle, each little figure holding hands, roots interlocked, forming a unity to extract the poison toxins from within the three Immortal Herbs and inject them into a fist-sized Treasure Bead.

These Treasure Beads were produced by sea immortal clams, each multi-colored, and had been previously refined sacrificially to store toxic gases.

Each Treasure Bead quickly lost its original luster, becoming grayish, as the Plague Gods' input was simply too great for them to convert!

Additionally, nourishing and strengthening Spirit Herbs like Poria, Polygonum multiflorum, and Ginseng Dolls continuously supplied Primordial Qi back to the three's bodies, reviving their vigor.

At the front, whenever Mo Ying noticed one of them could no longer hold on, he'd cut his finger, draw the black blood into his belly, and then use his unique Divine Skill to condense the toxic blood into poison pills and spit them out.

After a while of stalemate, one Plague God, seeing their failure to poison the three, grew angry and unleashed a Plague Sword, flying to slash at Ganoderma Immortal.

Mo Ying quickly led in casting the Heaven and Earth Quiet Circle to ensnare the sword.
