Chapter 760: Hurry and Invite...
Buddhism divides the so-called Three Realms and Six Paths. The lowest layer is the Hell Path, followed by the Hungry Ghost Path, the Beast Path, the Human Path, the Asura Path, and the Heavenly Path.
In the Heavenly Path, there are celestial beings, divided into three realms with twenty-eight levels of heaven. In the Desire Realm, there are six levels of heaven. The Four Heavenly Kings reside halfway up Sumeru Mountain, with Duo Wen, Guang Mu, Zeng Zhang, and Chi Guo living in the east, west, south, and north, respectively.
Next is Daoli Heaven, located at the top of Mount Sumeru, where Emperor's Heaven is located.
Any sentient being, transformed by a Buddha or Bodhisattva, can only be ferried to this heaven. Shakyamuni transformed his own mother, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva transformed his own mother, only to reach Daoli Heaven. Beyond that, one must cultivate on their own and cannot rely on others to forcibly pull them up.
The fourth and fifth layers are Yama Heaven and Douluo Heaven.
In Douluo Heaven, there is a Douluo Inner Court where Maitreya Bodhisattva resides, preparing to enter the period of Righteous Skill again after the destruction of the Dharma, to become a Buddha. Therefore, he is called the Future Buddha, but is not yet a Buddha.
Many Bodhisattvas who aspire to become Buddhas in one lifetime also stay there. The so-called "one lifetime" means that they can become Buddha after being reborn once more in the human world. In the future, they will come to the human world with Maitreya Bodhisattva to help disseminate the Buddhist Dharma and universally save all beings.
Those who harbor this aspiration all vow to be reborn there. The most famous Master Xuanzang ascended to this Maitreya Pure Land.
Further up is the Hua Le Heaven and the Heaven of Self-Transformation.
Bodhi is on the very top layer of these six heavens in the Desire Realm. When Shakyamuni attained enlightenment, he came to tempt the Buddha, but the Buddha was not moved. With no other options, he vowed to wait until after the Buddha's Nirvana. He would have his demon sons and grandsons shave their heads, don kasayas, preach in temples to the beings, and teach magic under the guise of the Buddhist Law, sabotaging harmonious sangha communities, using lubricants instead of the Great Compassionate Water...
Even making the Buddha cry, however, the Buddha did not take action to kill him, as Buddhism believes that all beings cannot be utterly destroyed. The so-called soul scattering only kills the ghostly body; the body of a ghost is also a body. Though a ghostly body can be destroyed, as long as there is the thought of 'self-attachment,' it will inevitably reincarnate and come back for revenge. Killing is to create karma; being killed is to eliminate karma. Killing cannot solve the problem.
Ultimately, the Buddha could only leave a will to his disciples, "Take precepts as a master," instructing them to use precepts to prevent the harm of demons.
As long as one receives and observes precepts, with the Vow Body present, no heavenly demons can harm them. Once a precept is broken, and the Vow Body is lost, one degrades into an ordinary person, manipulated by various demons.
The reason these demon heads can hold their current positions is due to accumulated good fortune from past lives. Their divine skills are innate after being born into the Heaven of Self-Transformation.
In the eyes of high-level Buddhist practitioners, they are essentially still mundane, though they are celestial beings. They are ordinary celestial beings, merely with longer lifespans and some having innate divine skills at birth. Furthermore, these divine skills are not as great as those of a Buddha and Bodhisattva and do not even match those of an Arhat.
In Taoism, they are just "yin spirits" that can influence people's minds. Once the Primordial Spirit receives the enlightenment of Innate Pure Yang Qi, the heart ape can be self-directed and not be confused by them.
Most magic attacks a person's Primordial Spirit, affecting their mind. Once this aspect is immunized, Demon Path Techniques lose more than half of their effectiveness.
Bodhi became the king of the Heaven of Self-Transformation because he also cultivated. Many divine skills and techniques he not only had from birth but also cultivated himself, thus becoming the Desire Realm Demon King.
He grasps a demon seal with each of his thousand hands, all casting golden light. Each demon seal contains a small world, where the environment is that of a Heavenly Demon. Even Earth Immortals hit by it must immediately descend; if their Dao Level is slightly low and they lack a special demon-suppressing Magical Treasure, they will become entangled, becoming demon subjects.
In other words, with one round, he can use this Heaven of Self-Transformation's Demon Light to sweep away over a thousand Earth Immortals!
But this thing does not affect Heavenly Immortals who have cultivated the Yang God, nor does it work on Golden Immortals.
E Shengfan was struck by the demon light, falling into the infinite Great Illusion World of the Heaven of Self-Transformation.
He was immersed but Shi Feiyang saw through the true nature of these thousand worlds at a glance, guiding E Shengfan's direction with the support of his will.
This old demon let out a Secret Demon Divine Sound along with a Vajra Thunder Sound, directly shattering all of these thousand worlds, scattering a thousand golden demon lights into a vast sky of golden radiance. He still engaged in an intense battle, with demon to the left and Buddha to the right.
Bodhi hurriedly used the Six Desires Mantra Heart Sutra, revealing six scripture pillars within the golden light, each representing a heaven. One side trapped E Shengfan, and the other, through E Shengfan, used a powerful Demon Thought Will to attack Shi Feiyang.
He fought desperately in the palace, and his followers also pushed hard inward.
Demon Marshals, Demon Generals, Demon Soldiers... all used various Magic Power, transforming Dharma Wheels to spin and cut through the Blood Demon Talismans on the Demon Palace, also morphing into huge Dharma Conches blowing fiercely, as well as transforming into Vajra Pestles, Seven Treasures Marvel Trees, and Golden Swords...
The Blood Demon Talisman then underwent changes, not only sealing inward but also emitting a blood-red demon light outward.
These talismans were created by Shi Feiyang between the Demon God Scripture and the Blood God Scripture, along with Taoist Law, different from pure Demon Path talismans. Many of the strokes began to squirm, with each character with a ghost radical moving and transforming into scarlet devils, opening their mouths wide, revealing full jaws of sharp teeth, forming an extremely strong suction, while other strokes transformed into flying swords, blood knives, thunderbolts, etc., bombarding these heavenly demons fiercely.
Those weaker in strength and closer got exploded and torn apart by the divine demons these ghost radical characters turned into, devoured into their stomachs.
Then, they appeared again within the Demon Scripture in Shi Feiyang's hands, each page still sealing a Heavenly Demon.
The Demon Scripture turned pages swiftly, a large number of Heavenly Demons were forcibly absorbed by the Blood Demon Talisman, pulling them from the Heaven of Self-Transformation into the Human World like a flood.
With each additional Heavenly Demon, the Demon Scripture gained another page, with the page count increasing rapidly.
Luckily, this Demon Scripture is not an ordinary book; as the pages increase, the thickness remains the same, otherwise, the entire Demon Scripture would be more than one person high!
Bodhi's Heavenly Demon army was frantically sealed away, and later several Demon Generals could not resist and were forcibly absorbed. The remaining ones then realized fear and retreated one after another.
The Demon army was utterly helpless, and several Great Demon Kings gathered together with the Demon Marshals and Demon Generals to discuss strategies.
Among them, one Demon General, looking at the Blood Talisman suspended above the Demon Palace, found it familiar, concentrating on it closely: "This talisman somewhat resembles what I cultivated in the Lower Realm in the past; it is at least quite related."
The group of demons hurriedly asked him what was going on.
This Five Yin Demon General said: "I once cultivated a scripture called the 'Demon God Scripture' in the Lower Realm, through which I ascended to this Heaven of Self-Transformation; this talisman bears something akin to what was recorded in my scripture."
The demons then asked him to quickly deal with the talisman.
The Five Yin Demon General shook his head: "I just said that this talisman has some connection to my Demon Scripture, but it has significantly changed, a hundred times more profound than what I cultivated back then. If I had a way to break it, I would have done so long ago, why would I wait until now."
The demons felt he spoke as if saying nothing, each utterly at a loss.
They had all received Bodhi's Demon King's Order; if they could not exert themselves to rescue Bodhi, when he escapes, he would surely punish them heavily, perhaps even strike them down from the Six Desires Heaven directly into Hell Path!
The Five Yin Demon General, seeing this, said again: "Although I cannot break this Divine Talisman, I know there is someone who definitely can."
The group of demons regained their spirits upon hearing this and asked who it was.
"Stone God Demon King!" the Five Yin Demon General said, "This demon talisman is also somewhat related to the Blood God Scripture he cultivated in the past; his Divine Skills are vast, and his Mana boundless, he surely has a way to break this Divine Talisman."
The demons, upon hearing this name, looked at each other: "That guy has always not aligned with Bodhi, listens to summons but not gives them, who can possibly bring him here?"
The Five Yin Demon General said: "This talisman has a connection to him; he will surely come, even if he does not, he will provide a solution."
With this, the group of demons called out in support: "Then you go and bring him!"
All celestial beings possess divine skills, including but not limited to Heavenly Eye Technique, Divine hearing, Telepathy, Destiny Communication, Divine Feet Power, and various premonitions. They can even manifest wishes instantaneously, desiring something and creating it with a wave of the hand. These divine skills are bestowed upon them from birth when reincarnating into the Heavenly Dao, with varying degrees of power.
They are spontaneous beings, reincarnating into the Heavenly Dao, immediately manifesting bodies without needing to go through gestation and reproduction.
The Five Yin Demon General also possesses divine skills, having diligently cultivated the Demon Scripture over the years, he was far superior to those celestial beings who came solely based on blessings, everyday indulging in enjoyment. Among the demon generals, he was considered exceptional, with particularly strong capabilities in premonition, thus having various intuitive forebodings before he even mentioned this matter.
Thus, he did not hesitate further, leaving the highest Bodhi Palace of the Desire Realm, heading to another part of this world.
The Heaven is vast, but the celestial beings here do not possess materialized bodies, like the topmost Formless Realm, the beings there can instantly arrive at any corner of its realm upon thought.
The Heaven of Self-Transformation has a somewhat materialized feeling, stronger than ghost-like entities but limited as well; the Five Yin Demon General travelled swiftly to a corner of this world, ahead lay an isolated floating island.
This world elsewhere is paved with gold bricks, adorned with Seven Treasures, making everything shimmer with golden light, resplendent with jewel-like brilliance and treasure-like luster; only here, the Demon Palace is built upon a white cloud, while others' clouds are golden, his is white; the palace walls above are also simplistic and elegant in powdery white, surrounded by pine and bamboo, with mountains and streams in the back, exceedingly elegant and tranquil.
The Five Yin Demon General did not dare be rash, standing in front of the palace and respectfully calling: "Junior, Five Yin Demonic Ascendant, seeks an audience with the Old Divine Lord."
The cloud path ahead naturally parted, revealing a Red-clothed Child.
The child had clear eyebrows and bright eyes, delicate and charming, draped in loose-fitting, bright red clothing, short-haired and barefoot, holding a blood-red Ruyi in his hand, smiling as he walked out: "I'm well aware of Bodhi Demon King's affairs, let's solve this matter together."
