The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 755: Heavenly Demon Zen Chant

Shi Feiyang and the Heavenly Lust Sect Leader fought their way into the Great Ru Pure Land, where tens of thousands of reborn followers were gathered.

Due to Xin Ru Nun's grand vows, there were no Three Evil Paths here—no hungry ghosts, no beasts, only humans and heavenly beings.

Furthermore, women possessed the Five Leaks Body, which meant they were more inclined towards defilements, struggled with purity, could not become Brahma Kings; desired excess, found it difficult to diminish desires, could not become Emperors; weak and frail, found it hard to be strong, could not become Demon Kings; prone to jealousy, lacked great compassion, could not become Transformed Saint Kings; filled with troubles, could not achieve perfection in all virtues, could not attain the Dao of Buddha.

Named "Five Leaks Body," these were actually five personality defects, and Buddhism believes that all techniques are limited by the mind, transformed by consciousness; it is not because one is born a woman that one possesses these defects, but because of these defects that one is reincarnated as a woman.

Men were the Seven Treasures Body, which also included five personality qualities, and only men could become Buddhas. If women wished to achieve Buddhahood, they too must first reincarnate as men.

Xin Ru Nun's grand vows included allowing beings reborn into her world to achieve Buddhahood in one lifetime; thus, only men existed in the Great Ru Pure Land, no women.

Tens of thousands of young boys ran on the golden brick ground, played in the water, when suddenly Shi Feiyang and the Heavenly Lust Sect Leader fought their way in, causing the earth to crack open, frightening them into screams and cries, hiding in panic.

The Heavenly Lust Sect Leader ignored all considerations, spread both arms, and unfurled the one hundred eighty thousand Mystic Yin Demon Banners, covering the entire central area of this Pure Land, where divine demons howled, capturing all the boys, twisting off their heads, and spilling their blood on the banners.

In merely a moment, the Heavenly Lust Sect Leader slaughtered them all.

Their physical bodies were destroyed, and their primordial spirits were captured by the Mystic Yin Demon and impounded onto the banners.

They screamed loudly for salvation, praying to Xin Ru Buddha.

Outside, Xin Ru Nun was besieged by two monks and two nuns, when suddenly Little Cold Mountain's Nun Master Ren arrived.

Years before, within Xuanyuan Holy Tomb, Nun Master Ren and Xin Ru Nun joined forces, leaving Shi Feiyang helpless, resulting in the unleashing of Blood God Son Deng Yin.

Nun Master Ren and Deng Yin engaged in a duel, seeming to have the upper hand but in truth suffered deeply.

After returning to Little Cold Mountain, she remained in retreat, even amidst various upheavals in the Xie Family, she did not appear.

Now Xie Shan had converted to Xin Ru Sect, along with the Xie sisters; the father and daughters were dispatched by Xin Ru to counterattack Fen Tuo, You Tan, and other Buddhists orthodoxies.

Nun Master Ren finally couldn't hold back and personally came from Little Cold Mountain to take away the three Xie Family members.

The three had already pledged great vows to Xin Ru Nun; Nun Master Ren initially attempted to reason with them, intending to use Buddhist Righteous Skill for enlightenment.

However, Buddhist law was a transcendent law, contrary to "human nature": people want delicious food, fine clothes, large houses, good music, beautiful people, more wealth and power... Buddhism demands one to relinquish them all.

In contrast, magic seeks every means to satisfy; indulge in eating, drinking, playing, doing, killing, torturing as one pleases...

Therefore, in terms of attracting people, Buddhist law falls far short of magic.

Buddhist law persuades, urging people to recognize the impermanence of all things, to find refuge in peace.

Magic deceives, seducing people into debauchery, indulgence, and reckless abandon.

People always listen to deception, not persuasion. Although Buddhism also has expedient means, as long as the intention is good, one can hide parts of the truth to attract people first, but it ultimately cannot compare to professional deception.

Nun Master Ren described numerous potential harms to the three Xie Family members, which Xin Ru Nun had already explained as nonexistent! Even if there were harms, they could be resolved with her Buddhist law, for "Xin Ru Buddha" possessed inconceivable divine power, and even bad situations could transform into positive opportunities, enhancing their cultivation progress.

Nun Master Ren detailed the advantages of distancing from Xin Ru, yet it was even less effective; Nun Master Ren extolled peace of mind and body, transcendence to Nirvana.

Meanwhile, Xin Ru Nun proclaimed her realm as Nirvana, even surpassing it in beauty and auspiciousness.

Nun Master Ren was forced to mention the past-life entanglements with the three, pointing out her and Xie Shan's former marriage, the Immortal City sisters as indeed their daughters, attempting to use emotional ties to beckon back the three Xie Family members.

This was utterly useless against the three; Xie Ying and Xie Lin had long severed ties with Xie Shan, especially Xie Lin, who was cold-hearted, straightforwardly saying, "Following Xin Ru Buddha for good cultivation is the greatest filial piety; when I achieve Buddhahood, I'll return to bring the esteemed parents into the Great Ru Pure Land."

The father and daughters were all deeply versed in Buddhist law, utterly familiar with its teachings; simple debate on scripture left Nun Master Ren unable to contend against their three tongues, ultimately resorting to action!

The martial prowess of Master Ren has always surpassed Xie Shan, yet now the Seven Treasures Golden Banner from above casts down layers of bright clouds that carry Xin Ru Nun's will, overpowering both father and daughter of the Xie Family. Meanwhile, Master Ren is severely suppressed. Years ago, she lost much essence blood to Deng Yin and has spent decades in retreat nursing her wounds, her strength now weaker than Master You Tan. Under these conditions, she finds herself unable to gain the upper hand.

After a moment of struggle, Ye Bin also arrives!

Ye Bin has long since entered the Buddhist path, adopting the dharma name Yiyin. She had agreed to join Master Ren in rescuing the three members of the Xie Family from the depths of the Great Ru Demon Domain. However, once here, Xin Ru quickly spotted a flaw in her disposition and shone a beam of True Nature Buddha Light upon her. Ye Bin immediately remembers her past grudge against Shi Feiyang, especially with Deng Baggu!

Deng Baggu is now using the Blood Soul Pearl surrounded by Ice Soul Divine Light, along with the Ice Soul Divine Light Sword, all of which were snatched from her back then.

Unable to suppress her fury, Ye Bin turns her attack towards Deng Baggu.

Seeing this, Master Fen Tuo calls upon Master You Tan to join in a chant, one reciting a Vajra Zen Chant and the other a Heavenly Dragon Zen Chant, intending to counter the Buddha Light of the Seven Treasures Golden Banner, striving to awaken more minds.

E Shengfan also starts chanting; E Shengfan, originally a millennia-old demon, has recently cultivated the Demonic Destruction Treasure Record, an artifact created by the Absolute Venerable with the intent to eradicate all demons around the world, though it does not align with the orthodox teachings of Buddhism. Its foundations are impure, leading to convoluted consequences. E Shengfan masterfully blends the techniques within it with his own demon skills, inventing the Heavenly Demon Zen Chant.

E Shengfan was born a prodigy, otherwise he wouldn't stand as a supreme entity within the demon path, nor would he be a match for the Absolute Venerable.

He has assigned the names of demon gods across one hundred and eight heavenly worlds, some originally recorded in the Demon God Scripture, requiring cultivators of demon to worship and seal a pact, some cited in the Demonic Destruction Treasure Record, needing careful precautions and methodical casting to suppress and repel them. He congregates the fiercest ones and incorporates the distorted Buddhist scriptures into it.

For example, where Buddha discusses the Four Holy Truths, he proposes eight; instead of the Eightfold Path, he suggests twelve; instead of the Twelve Causality Laws, he suggests sixty-four…

Through such fusion, he innovates demon curses, presenting them in the form of a Buddhist Brahma Chant, thereby crafting this Heavenly Demon Zen Chant, whose first verse is "Namo Heaven of Self-Transformation Bodhi Demon King," followed by "Namo Great Self Moxi Sura Heaven Demon King," with demon kings reigning at the peaks of the Desire Realm, Color Realm, and Formless Realm, each believing the world belongs to them, all beings merely their playthings.

After reciting the names of these three demon kings, E Shengfan proceeds to chant the demon god names from other heavenly worlds, culminating with the demon king being his own name.

Driven by his faith-inspired mana, these demon gods join forces in granting support. With each verse uttered, his body expands by a yard, while emitting a golden light from his mouth that reveals a divine statue cast in pure gold, some with a thousand hands and eyes, others with a thousand heads and feet, bearing weapons in many hands.

Moreover, these demon king avatars do not arrive alone, but are accompanied by numerous demon soldiers, generals, child demons, and grandchildren demons, all roaring and charging towards the opposing forces.

The Vajra Zen Chant, Heavenly Dragon Zen Chant, and Heavenly Demon Zen Chant intertwine, with the recitals overlapping and influencing one another, contesting in volume yet leaving one with an unbearable sensation, almost making their brain boil!

Xin Ru, although momentarily regaining the upper hand, finds this result unacceptable.

Eight relics have all been snatched away, the external Buddha Formation broken, allowing the internal Demon Formation to be exposed openly.

Shi Feiyang remains uncaught, and the most fatal issue concerns those five lotuses!

Xin Ru believed securing those five lotuses was a certainty. As long as she gets them, losing all relics wouldn't matter; she could use them to fuse the Great Ru Pure Land into this world's domain.

Eventually, the Great Ru Pure Land would expand in scope, reincarnating living beings onto its land continuously, by which the entire world will gradually become "Buddha Transformed" or "Demon Transformed," achieving her goal!

Unexpectedly, Shi Feiyang had kept hidden the Three Lights Divine Water in reserve, intending to engage Heavenly Lust Sect Leader in a fierce battle. She anticipated seizing the opportunity to capture the five lotuses, yet Shi Feiyang swiftly collected all the lotus platforms, leaving neither a chance for Heavenly Lust Sect Leader nor for herself!

Without the lotuses, merging the Pure Land with the world afterward would be immensely challenging!

Moreover, today's duel seems an endless stalemate, even if she emerges victorious, it would still be a pyrrhic victory.

At present, Shi Feiyang and Heavenly Lust Sect Leader duel within the Great Ru Pure Land, threatening the destruction of the entire Buddha Country Pure Land.

Even should she descend to intervene, resolving the battle in the short term remains implausible…

If the five lotuses were in her grasp, she could instantly control the Buddha Country Pure Land, and along with the Seven Treasures Golden Banner, preemptively fuse the Pure Land with Jiuhua Mountain, rendering it inescapable for anyone except figures like Master Chi Zhang, who have minimal karmic entanglement.

The lack of the lotuses places her in such a passive situation.

In fact, on the surface she holds the advantage, but failing to meet strategic objectives classifies as a defeat.

Continuing this battle holds no further purpose; it seems a restart is inevitable…

Xin Ru Nun extracts the Conch Leaf Talisman, takes a deep breath, and begins to activate its power to reverse time and space.
