The Adaptive Quincy of Bleach

Chapter 14: Uryu effort (14)

Pov change.

Sora could be seen in the Ishida family training area, shooting a bunch of arrows at moving targets.

With his newfound control over Reishi, each arrow managed to perfectly find its target.

Sora smiled upon seeing this, this was progress, and deciding to activate his wheel, Sora once again began to adapt to the Reishi all around him.

His control over getting better with each arrow he fired, and his precision was getting better.

However, this was not what he wanted to do.

He wanted a challenge for himself, and thus he thought, why not fight himself?

To do that, first, he needed speed, a lot of it.

He first begins to gather Reishi under his feet.

The next second, Sora was 50 feet away, he went so fast that he was unable to control himself and face-planted headfirst into a tree.

*CLICK*

"Ouch...that kind of hurt" Sora muttered to himself, what could be seen as blue veins could be seen all over the area that was hurt by the tree.

He had instinctively activated the technique in order to not get hurt too badly, his senses were not as he gave them credit for.

They could do a lot more given enough time.

"Let's try this again now shall we"

As he got up, he once again began moving, slower at first.

However, over time, his speed began increasing.

*Click*

He got faster.

*Click*

He was able to see perfectly while moving at such speed.

*Click*

Forming his Quincy bow, he found himself able to fire off some arrows.

*CLick*

In less than 15 minutes, what could be seen as an intense session could be seen, with arrows being fired at one end, and at the other hand, the arrows were being blocked or dodged, or redirected.

It was happening so fast, yet a seasoned fighter would be able to keep up with such movement.

It didn't matter to Sora anymore, he wanted strength, he wanted to get better.

*Click*

Welp, now in his adapted state, he was proficient in using Hirenkyaku.

"Now for the hard part"

As those words left his mouth, the wheel vanished and Sora's speed noticeably decreased, granted he could still use Hirenkyaku, he just was now....a lot slower, like very slow.

Like at best he was moving at 30 miles an hour....shit was way too slow for his liking.

His muscle memory kicked in and just like that, that 30 miles per hour to 40, then 50, then 60, then 100.

It just kept getting faster and faster while Sora himself showed zero sign of slowing down anytime soon.

If a master of the technique were to look at Sora's control, they would be able to tell that he was an amateur immediately.

Sora's form was off, granted he was getting better but still, his form was off.

After a solid 3 hours of practicing nonstop.

Sora found himself laying on the floor drained of energy, his boundless pool of reishi was gone, he had used it all during his training, granted he had been practicing every since the sun rose.

Sora gazed at the setting sun, he had practiced more than enough to earn himself a break, and he deserved it.

Forcing himself to sit up, Sora's senses pick up on something.

Deciding to entertain his curiosity, Sora made his way through the clearing, hiding himself behind a tree.

There he saw it.

Uryu could be seen drawing out his Quincy bow and firing off arrows at moving targets.

The boy kept shooting, Sora noticed the callouses on the boy's hands, and what seemed to be blood seemed to be dripping down his arms, as if his endless training had caused him pain.

Uryu looked out of breath, however, he kept going, never once stopping to take a breath.

"I can do one more"

Looking at the boy's hand, no, he couldn't do one more, Uryu however kept practicing like his life depended on it.

Once his Reaitsu had been filled used, the boy began to use the surrounding area reishi in order to continue his attack.

To say he was determined would have been an understatement.

Deciding to be a bit helpful, Sora begin sending all the nearby Reishi toward Uryu, creating some sort of Reishi dome around the boy.

The second he did so, Uryu Quincy's bow got bigger, and Uryu's arrow now packed more of a punch.

Well if Uryu wanted to get stronger, who was he to stop his brother in his pursuit of strength, he would pave the way and make it easier for him to get stronger, after all, Sora did need a training partner who could somehow keep up with him.

He was starting to stagnate just a bit, the extra push was always welcome.

He stretched out his arm, hopefully, that day would come soon.

Little did little Sora know, his brother would never really catch up to him fully, he was born gifted, incredibly gifted, for anyone to have as much potential as him, they would have to be like a hybrid of every race and be able to use every race to their maximum, if not that....then, as thing stood, no one could rival his potential.
