The Accidental Supreme: Limitless Regression and Endless Fiancées

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: The Challenge of the Test

Ryo's mind was far from calm. He sat on the edge of his bed, eyes locked on the Status Window. The update from the system had left him with more questions than answers, and now, he had to prepare for the test that would determine his rank at the academy.

But before he could even think of what to study, the door creaked open, and in walked Selena.

"Ryo," she called, her tone serious. "You can't just be any class. You have to be in S-class."

Ryo looked up, puzzled. "Why? It's just a test, right?"

Selena stepped closer, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Yes, but the rules aren't the same for everyone." She lowered her voice, ensuring no one else overheard. "S-class only has seats for eight students, but that rule doesn't apply to royals. Royals of every race, including vampires, are automatically enrolled in S-class without needing to take any test. And, you're my fiancé, which means you're directly placed in S-class as well. If you're not, well..." She gave him a smile that was far too sweet, her eyes gleaming with something far more dangerous. "I might have to kill you."

Ryo blinked in confusion. Kill me? He rubbed his forehead, trying to make sense of it all. "Wait, how will you even kill me when I can't die?"

She gave a soft chuckle, her smile not fading. "I will find a way."

(Mostly Vampires were nearly immortal but thanks to Ryo's blood rampage it made him hard to kill Selena knew that fact)

Ryo sighed deeply, then reluctantly nodded. "Fine, I'll try my best."

As Selena left, he couldn't help but mutter to himself, How can she threaten me when I'm practically immortal? But he knew she wasn't someone to underestimate. Still, there was a strange sense of security in knowing that his abilities—his regeneration, immortality, and the merge with Draconic and Vampiric powers—made it nearly impossible for him to die. He could face whatever came his way, but it didn't mean he liked being threatened.

Two hours later, the students gathered in the central courtyard for the test. The atmosphere was tense as each student prepared themselves for the difficult trial ahead. Ryo stood near the back, observing the other students who seemed anxious. He didn't share the same worry—this test was going to be a breeze for him.

Selena, standing beside him, seemed calm but alert. She knew this was important. Ryo didn't understand why, but he could sense that she was watching him closely, probably weighing his every move.

The test began, and the students filed in. It was designed to assess their abilities and knowledge—everything from combat skills to intelligence. The first part was a written exam on history and mathematics.

Ryo smirked. History and math? That's simple.

He finished the test quickly, hardly pausing between questions. After all, he had studied this exact material during his time in the human world. History of the humans, various cultures, and basic arithmetic were subjects he had covered years ago. Additionally, the lessons he had taken since arriving here were all heavily focused on human subjects, so he breezed through the questions with ease.

When the results came in, Ryo was placed in S-class, much to everyone's shock. His unique knowledge and abilities were far above the average student's capabilities.

But that's when things took a turn.

A senior from the Vampire faction stepped forward, eyes narrowed in suspicion. "How can a commoner pass this test so easily? This is practically impossible."

Ryo raised an eyebrow. Impossible? It was just basic stuff.

But the senior wasn't finished. "You think you can just pass a test like that? You cheated, didn't you?" His voice dripped with disdain. "How else could a half-breed like you—who's nothing but a commoner—pass such an advanced test?"

Ryo sighed. Half-breed? Here we go again.

"I didn't cheat," Ryo said, his voice low and steady. "I just know the material. I've spent most of my life in the human world. I've studied history and math extensively. That's why I knew the answers."

But the senior wasn't listening. His eyes flashed with anger, and he pointed an accusing finger at Ryo. "I won't allow a half-breed, especially one who is engaged to the vampire princess, to be in S-class. You don't belong here."

The crowd grew quiet as the tension in the air thickened. Ryo didn't care about the senior's accusations, but what happened next caught him off guard.

The senior sneered, "I challenge you to a duel. We'll settle this once and for all."

Selena immediately stepped forward, her voice icy. "Fine. But the loser will leave the academy. If Ryo loses, he'll leave. If you lose, you'll leave, understood?"

The senior gave a twisted grin. "Agreed. But I'll make sure to eliminate you after the duel, and your family, too. It's no place for half-breeds."

Ryo's fists clenched. This guy... threatening my family? He could feel his anger rising. His thoughts raced—I can't let this asshole get away with this. He's not just insulting me, but my family too.

"Let's do this," Ryo said, his voice hard as stone. "I'll wipe the floor with you."

As the two students were prepared for the duel, the teachers stepped forward. "Before the duel, we must measure your abilities. Place your hand on this slab, and we'll assess your strength."

The senior was the first to place his hand on the slab, and his abilities were measured. Ryo stepped up next, but a flicker of hesitation passed through him. His Vampire and Dragon abilities were so different from the norm that he wasn't sure how the slab would react.

The senior smirked, seeing Ryo hesitate. "What's wrong? Afraid the test will reveal you for what you really are? A freak."

Ryo gritted his teeth. Fine. You want to see my abilities? He placed his hand on the slab.

The moment he did, a brilliant light erupted from the stone. The slab displayed the full scope of his abilities—Vampire and Dragonic powers, as well as the Hybrid abilities from the merge. The entire courtyard fell silent, eyes wide with shock.

Ryo's Bloodflame Mastery, Primordial Regeneration, Abyssal Dragon Wings  and all other abilities flashed before everyone. No one could believe their eyes as they saw the full extent of his powers.

The senior stood frozen, unable to hide his disbelief. "This... this can't be real!"

Ryo's expression was calm as ever, though his thoughts were anything but. I'll show him what true power is.
