The Academy's Extra can only use Dash skill

Chapter 10: Second Protagonist [2]

Han Yeon-seo is the second protagonist of Save the Humanity, but in the main storyline, she only makes a few appearances as one of the female leads.

Originally, she was just a character from the side stories, but due to her massive success and popularity, the author created a second novel entirely focused on her: 'Worlds of Destruction'.

I never really had the time to read it, but from what I remember, the story takes place during the seventh arc, 'The Apocalypse'.

It's way too long to explain in detail; that was a long time ago. Right now, we're in the twelfth arc—the second-to-last one, according to Mr. Justice. So I don't remember it perfectly.

But I do know that Yeon-seo played a crucial role in that part of the story that's also why she has her novel

As I walked through the academy's hallways beside Yeon-seo, a silence settled between us.

It wasn't exactly awkward, but it wasn't comfortable either. It felt like we were walking side by side, yet a wall separated us.

However, judging by her expression, she didn't seem to mind. She simply kept that confident smile on her face, her sharp, gray eyes scanning the hallways as if she already owned the place.

I glanced at her scepter—the one she held firmly in her hand. It looked custom-made, a deep black shaft with intricate engravings running along its surface. A family heirloom, perhaps?

"Hey, Four-Eyes."

Yeon-seo suddenly spoke, turning toward me while still walking.

"It's Four-Eyes now?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Whatever. I wanted to ask you—what's your ability?"

"…Why do you want to know that?"

"Because I need to know if I want to rank first in the practical exam!"

Her tone was matter-of-fact, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"…But don't get the wrong idea, okay? It's not like I'm scared you'll beat me or anything. I just want to see if you'll get kicked out or not."

I sighed, already expecting this kind of response from her.

"…"

"Do you… really think my future will be decided by my ability?"

Yeon-seo fell silent for a moment, lost in thought after my question.

It was normal for her to hesitate. After all, in a family of Rankers like hers, abilities were everything. Your entire future depended on which one you awakened. If your ability was weak, you were weak. There was no in-between.

"Yes, I do."

She straightened her posture as she spoke, as if reaffirming her belief.

I sighed again.

"I think that's unfair."

Yeon-seo stopped walking, seemingly shocked by my words.

[Information: A character in the story has developed an interest in you.]

A notification window popped up in front of me immediately.

"Is she serious? I just said I didn't like her way of thinking—"

"So… does her family's influence and the whole ability system affect her that much?"

I turned around to face Yeon-seo, who was still standing frozen in place.

"Um… why did you stop? We're going to be late."

"SHUT UP!"

She suddenly shouted, her voice echoing through the hallway.

"Whoa, did she just lose it?"

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO TALK ABOUT WHAT'S FAIR OR UNFAIR? I BET YOU'RE ONLY SAYING THAT BECAUSE YOU HAVE A WEAK ABILITY!"

Her hands clenched into fists at her sides, and for a second, I thought she was actually going to grab me by the collar.

"AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN ANSWER MY QUESTION! WHAT'S YOUR ABILITY?!"

I looked at her in silence. Her face was half-red—whether from anger or embarrassment, I couldn't tell.

Then, I calmly adjusted my glasses, meeting her furious gaze with an indifferent expression.

"Dash."

Yeon-seo's eyes widened in disbelief.

"What…?"
