Territory of Lust-Magical Continent

Chapter 9: Return in Triumph: Playing the Glorious Ode of Victory

When Long Aotian and the two women returned to the front line, the battle below was already drawing to a close, with the Fast Army completely in control. The Iron Cavalry of the Luoxing Legion galloped across the battlefield, swift as lightning, with their blades reaping a grim harvest of blood.

It turned out that Luoxingyao had seen through the divisions among the beastmen, ordering the Fast Army to focus solely on Lete's lion soldiers, ignoring the demoralized troops of the other three tribes. Under her skillful command, the Luoxing Legion deployed the ultimate formation, "Falling Stars in Nine Heavens." A fierce wind arose within the formation, causing the lion soldiers to cry out in distress as they were blown about, while the Fast Cavalry, unaffected, efficiently slaughtered their way through.

Combined with the bombardment from the Fast Army's magic cannons on the hill, the lion soldiers, caught in a pincer movement, quickly descended into chaos, suffering heavy casualties. The fear instilled by the magic cannon was something brute courage couldn't withstand. Their morale melted like snow under the sun.

In the midst of the chaos, a lion general grabbed Lete, shouting, "My king, there's no hope, let's retreat!"

Lete watched as his lion soldiers were being massacred like grass by the Fast heavy cavalry, the battlefield littered with bodies and rivers of blood. He angrily swung his mace, knocking a Fast cavalryman off his horse, but this was irrelevant to the overall situation; the Fast Army had completely taken control.

The battle-hardened Lete knew that continuing would lead to total annihilation. Wiping the sweat from his face, he saw Luoxingyao charging towards him, the Falling Star flag fluttering behind her. Luoxingyao's spear moved like a dragon emerging from the sea, each strike felling beastmen. Several fierce lion generals couldn't even land a single blow before being knocked off their horses.

Heartbroken by the loss of his beloved generals, Lete charged forward, gritting his teeth, "Luoxingyao, this is an irreconcilable feud!"

An adjutant on the side deflected a sword strike and pushed back a Fast Army cavalryman, urgently saying to Lete, "My king, we must retreat! Look at the other tribes; they've preserved their forces. Our priority should be caution!"

These words were like a bucket of cold water on Lete's rage, snapping him back to reality. He turned his horse around, shouting, "Full retreat!"

Upon hearing this command, the three tribes with second thoughts fled the quickest, leaving the lion tribe to bear the brunt of the Fast Army's assault. Luoxingyao struck down a lion general with her spear and shouted, "Lete has fled, soldiers, capture him for me!" The Fast Army's morale surged, while the demoralized lion soldiers wished they had more legs to run away, discarding their armor in their haste. The Fast Army pursued, chasing the enemy thirty miles, until the lion soldiers were utterly defeated and the battlefield was again a river of blood, before they ceased their pursuit.

Lete, still in shock, stopped after fleeing fifty miles to rally his remaining forces. Looking at his once twenty thousand strong army now reduced to just over ten thousand, Lete was nearly in tears, sighing to the sky, "Heaven forsakes me!" He then glared towards the direction of the Fast Army, growling, "Luoxingyao, you witch, I swear to tear you to pieces to satisfy my hatred!"

A minister reminded him, "My king, our strength is greatly weakened now, and domestic factions will rise. We must plan carefully." This interrupted Lete's further rant.

Lete nodded, musing, "Indeed! Buge and Huibei, who have been eyeing our position, might take this opportunity. I must be cautious." He looked at his disheveled subordinates and said weakly, "Let's return to our city first, then plan further."

Thus, the "First Battle of Tianfeng," which would be noted in the annals of continental history, ended with a decisive victory for the Fast Army. Both Wuan and Asu were severely weakened, especially Asu, which for a long time afterward, lost the ability to launch southern campaigns, remaining on the defensive.

With an air of triumph, Long Aotian led his soldiers down the mountain to meet the waiting crowd, who cheered their welcome. Liu Yimeng, ignoring others' reactions, threw herself into his arms, hugging his waist tightly, tears streaming down her face.

Long Aotian embraced Liu Yimeng's sweet and charming body, his eyes meeting Luoxingyao's standing beside her horse, Feiyun. Luoxingyao's eyes were filled with tender affection, her gaze deep enough to melt steel. She restrained herself from showing her emotions in front of everyone, as a commander should not lose composure.

Long Aotian, surrounded by the warmth of beautiful women, felt the deep love from both Liu Yimeng in his arms and Luoxingyao before him. He thought how wonderful life was at this moment, grateful for this war.

The generals around him looked at Long Aotian with envy, their hearts aching for the one who had won the heart of the army's flower. Many in the Luoxing Legion admired Liu Yimeng, while Luoxingyao was seen as an untouchable goddess; they could only worship her from afar. Liu Yimeng's beauty, grace, and understanding made her popular, with many pursuing her openly or secretly. Today's display made it clear she was taken, breaking many hearts.

That night, the victorious Fast Army held a grand banquet, with soldiers reveling and generals toasting Long Aotian, the hero of the day. Feeling good, Long Aotian drank without refusal, soon becoming tipsy. Luoxingyao toasted everyone as a gesture of thanks before leaving the celebration, knowing her presence would inhibit the soldiers' revelry, and she disliked such chaotic scenes.

Once Luoxingyao left, the officers of the Luoxing Legion let loose, flirting with the female soldiers serving drinks, filling the air with laughter and playful scolding.

Long Aotian reveled in this atmosphere, quickly engaging with a beautiful female soldier passing by. Beauty admires heroes, and she was more than willing to let this young, accomplished general have his way with her. It would be advantageous to catch his eye, possibly securing her future since she believed he would soon rise to a higher rank.

As they were getting quite intimate, a young and beautiful Golden Phoenix Guard entered the tent, approaching Long Aotian. No one dared to touch the personal guards of Luoxingyao, so the guard reached Long Aotian without trouble.

Long Aotian was enjoying the moment with the female soldier when a female voice near his ear said, "Captain Liu invites Commander Long."

Turning reluctantly, Long Aotian saw the Golden Phoenix Guard with a smile on her face. Her large, expressive eyes seemed to speak, stirring his heart.

Noticing Long Aotian's gaze, the guard blushed slightly, "Please follow me, General!" With that, she gracefully turned and walked out. Long Aotian, almost hypnotized, followed, leaving the female soldier stamping her foot in frustration, soon to be comforted by another officer.

Outside the noisy tent, the cool breeze sobered Long Aotian a bit, realizing he'd followed like a dazed goose without even speaking.

After a self-deprecating laugh, he cleared his throat, his eyes following the graceful sway of the guard's waist, admiring her poise.

"Where are we going, miss?"

The guard chimed with a silvery laugh, "To the Phoenix Tent now!"

Following closely behind, watching her walk, Long Aotian knew she was still a virgin, his desire flaring up, swallowing hard.

"Hey! I don't even know your name yet."

The guard whispered, "Why would a commander need to know the name of a lowly soldier like me?"

Long Aotian, undeterred, caught up to her, smelling her faint fragrance, whispering in her ear, "Will we have a chance to meet again?"

Feeling his warm breath on her sensitive ear, the guard blushed deeply, lowering her head, walking faster.

"Ouch!" She stumbled over something.

Long Aotian caught her, saying, "Careful, careful!"

"Ah! Let go of me!" The guard was even more embarrassed, trying to escape his embrace.

He wouldn't miss this opportunity. Not only did he not let go, but he held her tighter, enjoying her softness, teasingly saying, "I won't let go unless you tell me your name!"

Reluctantly yielding, she said, "My name is Tian Tian. Now, let me go!"

Long Aotian repeated her name several times, praising, "A sweet name for a sweet girl." Still holding her, he was enchanted by her scent, and she, unable to resist, leaned into him.

They reached Luoxingyao's Phoenix Tent, and Tian Tian pleaded, "Commander Long, we're here. Please release me. Or else Captain Liu will see."

Long Aotian, pushing his luck, said, "Give me a kiss, and I'll let you go."

Knowing she wouldn't get away without giving in a little, Tian Tian reluctantly brought her face close to his. But Long Aotian, seizing the moment, kissed her on the lips.

"Mmm..." Her protest was short-lived as his tongue explored her mouth, overwhelming her senses until she was dizzy with his kiss.

Long Aotian continued to kiss her deeply while his hands roamed her body, her heat rising, her tongue awkwardly responding to his.

"Hey! What's taking so long? Ah, I see, stealing kisses here!" Liu Yimeng's playful voice broke the spell.

Tian Tian stiffened, pushing against Long Aotian's chest. He pulled away from her lips, seeing her face flushed like March peach blossoms, her eyes teary, gave her one last kiss on the cheek, and let her go.

Tian Tian, relieved, ran away. Liu Yimeng called after her, laughing, "Tian Tian, Luoxingyao wants you in the tent; she needs your service!" then burst into more laughter.

After Tian Tian disappeared, Liu Yimeng turned around, only to find Long Aotian standing right in front of her, causing her to step back in surprise.

Long Aotian looked at her with mischief, "You know, interrupting someone's good time calls for punishment." Not waiting for her response, he kissed her passionately. Liu Yimeng briefly resisted before returning the kiss with fervor.

Their tongues danced, Long Aotian savoring her sweetness while his hands explored her body.

After a while, they parted, panting. Long Aotian, looking at the fiery Liu Yimeng, said, "For spoiling my fun, I'll make sure you have no energy to even scream later."

"Please spare me, my lord!" Liu Yimeng feigned fear, "Yimeng knows she was wrong, please be merciful, my lord!"

Then, she lifted her head, smiling, "How about I redeem myself by bringing Tian Tian back for you?"

Long Aotian scooped her up, her arms naturally wrapping around his neck. He strode towards her tent, saying, "You're still up to mischief; today, I'll make sure you can't even cry out."

Liu Yimeng whispered in his ear, "Do whatever you want later! But now, let's go to Luoxingyao's tent first!" Long Aotian, excitedly, replied, "As you command, my lady!"

At Luoxingyao's tent, her two personal maids at the entrance smiled mysteriously, lifting the tent flap to let them in.

Inside, the tent was warm and fragrant with feminine scents. Long Aotian's eyes lit up seeing Luoxingyao in a light purple robe, sitting gracefully on a couch like a celestial being.

Liu Yimeng jumped from his arms, saying, "Luoxingyao, I brought him here! Enjoy your chat; I'll be off." She left, giving Long Aotian a meaningful look, which he missed, too captivated by Luoxingyao's feminine allure.

After a long moment, Luoxingyao looked up, her delicate face meeting Long Aotian's gaze, causing his heart to pound. She was radiating a gentleness and charm he'd never seen, her eyebrows faintly painted, cheeks flushed, lips like cherry blossoms, her eyes casting a spellbinding look, a stark contrast to the fierce general he knew.

Luoxingyao spoke softly, "Commander Long, please sit."

"Ah! Sit, sit!" Long Aotian responded hastily, his mind scattered, bumping into the chair's leg.

"Ouch! That hurts!" he cried out.

Luoxingyao couldn't help but laugh, covering her mouth with her hand, her eyes twinkling with mirth. This bump brought Long Aotian back to his senses, realizing his uncharacteristic clumsiness.

It was understandable; Luoxingyao was already a stunning beauty, and now, dressed to please, she struck him differently from the commanding general he was used to seeing.

His gaze fell on her jade-like neck, beautiful, but what truly stirred his heart was the crescent-shaped jade pendant visible at her neckline, glowing green under the light, an artifact of ancient elegance.

"This..." Long Aotian was at a loss for words, feeling like thunderstruck, pointing at the pendant with a trembling hand.

Luoxingyao was also visibly moved, her eyes filled with deep emotion. She spoke with restrained excitement, "This is the 'Crescent Heart'; do you recognize it?"

Long Aotian took a deep breath, steadying himself, his voice still shaky, "Where did you get this?"

"I've worn it since I was a child. Is there a problem?"

"No! The Crescent Heart is a family heirloom from a friend of mine. How did it end up with you?"

"A friend?" Luoxingyao looked at him in surprise, "Just a friend?"

"That..." Recovering from the shock, Long Aotian's mind raced. Revealing the truth at this moment could lose her, as talking about another woman in front of one would stir jealousy, especially with someone as outstanding as Luoxingyao, who had countless suitors. He knew he wasn't worthy of her; having her favor was his greatest fortune.

"I shouldn't tell her!" This thought barely crossed his mind when he recalled Luoxingyao's earlier words and her strange expression, "There must be something odd about this! This Crescent Heart must be connected to her!"

"If she's doing this on purpose, I can't hide it. If so, it might backfire. Alright, I'll take a gamble on this!"

With that, Long Aotian gritted his teeth, saying, "She was my childhood sweetheart! This Crescent Heart was our token of love!" He watched Luoxingyao's face closely, now calmer, noting the excitement and joy on her beautiful face.

"Got it!" He thought, continuing, "Sadly, she left me for the capital, and we lost contact. In my heart, she's always my wife!..."

"Ah! Aotian, I'm so happy!" Luoxingyao couldn't contain herself, rushing to embrace him, murmuring, "It's me, it's me..."

Even though he was prepared, this revelation still left Long Aotian dizzy. He never imagined it would be this way.

After the excitement, Luoxingyao explained her life after parting with him; she found her father in the capital, changed her name at his request, and dedicated herself to learning various skills until she became a general.

Once she finished her story, a significant amount of time had passed.

Luoxingyao touched the Crescent Heart on her neck, speaking tenderly, "These years, I sent people to find you, but your family had moved away. I thought I'd never see you again! ... Finally, finally..." She looked up at Long Aotian with deep affection.

They gazed at each other, their feelings evident.

Luoxingyao, perhaps unable to bear Long Aotian's intense gaze or lost in thought, gave a charming smile, lowering her head to play with the Crescent Heart.

The atmosphere in the tent fell silent once more.
