Chapter 667 Accidental Encounter
Watching Taozi stand in front of him, Shen Siyuan sighed helplessly.
Taozi heard the sigh, turned around, and said playfully, "We really shouldn't have come here; everyone has been looking at you."
Shen Siyuan laughed and said, "I was just about to say that."
Their looks and figures were indeed eye-catching, and ever since they'd changed into their swimsuits, all eyes had been fixed on them.
Even if they didn't mind the attention, too much of it made them uncomfortable.
Especially since Taozi was quite jealous; when others looked at Shen Siyuan, she felt she'd suffered a great loss.
To her, Shen Siyuan was her "private property" that she could only share with Ruan Hongzhuang and couldn't let others covet him.
Dou Dou and Tang Tang were on the side, playing with their water guns.
Foolishly shooting at each other back and forth.
Shen Siyuan picked up Tang Tang; if she continued, she'd drink too much water.
But the little one was very stubborn, struggling to get down to continue fighting with Dou Dou.
Fortunately, Taozi grabbed Dou Dou and said she would take her to play the Super Big Trumpet, which finally calmed her down.
After playing two activities, Dou Dou voluntarily didn't want to play anymore.
This surprised Taozi greatly.
"Not fun?"
Dou Dou shook her head.
"Then why not play?" Taozi found it strange.
Shen Siyuan had a faint idea of the reason.
Dou Dou had drowned, so she had a certain fear of water. Initially, playing had the upper hand, plus the water was shallow, so she could bear it.
But as the activities got deeper, she couldn't suppress her fear anymore.
"If that's the case, then let's go to the amusement park," Shen Siyuan suggested.
"It's tough changing into swimsuits, getting wet all over, playing a little and then leaving, truly exhausting," Taozi grumbled unhappily.
Shen Siyuan patted her back.
Taozi looked at him with some confusion in her eyes.
But Shen Siyuan didn't explain, just shook his head at her, so Taozi immediately said no more.
After everyone rinsed off and changed their clothes, Shen Siyuan quietly told Taozi the reason.
Upon hearing this, Taozi suddenly understood, filled with guilt towards Dou Dou; she hadn't thought of this at all.
"Oh~oh..."
A clueless Tang Tang, being carried away from the water park, finally reacted.
Held in Shen Siyuan's arms, she kept pointing towards the direction of the water park, seeming to say she still wanted to play, didn't want to leave...
Shen Siyuan patted her little bottom twice, telling her to be quiet and not wriggle around like a little snake.
"Humph."
The little one got mad, put her hands on her hips, glared her round eyes at Shen Siyuan.
"This is all learned from you."
Shen Siyuan looked down at Dou Dou walking beside him.
"Hehe~"
Dou Dou heard and showed some pride, seeming like it was something very commendable.
The amusement park was close to the water park, so they arrived outside the amusement park after a few steps.
Tang Tang, seeing the amusement facilities inside the park, stopped struggling, grinned and watched happily.
Just then, a Thomas train passed them, and Tang Tang immediately pointed at the train, "oh" 'ing endlessly, looking at Shen Siyuan with anticipation.
"Don't worry, Sister Taozi has gone to buy tickets."
Turned out Taozi had already pulled Dou Dou to buy tickets for the little ones.
The ticket price seemed cheap, just twenty yuan for a small circle that didn't last ten minutes.
This was downright profiteering, yet many children flocked to it, making many parents pay unwillingly, so even a queue formed at the train entrance.
After buying the tickets, Dou Dou and Tang Tang also obediently lined up at the back of the queue.
Unless a child needed to be carried, adults could stay outside the ride, so they stood by the railing.
Watching a chattering group of little kids, full of excitement.
Tang Tang was just behind Dou Dou, staring at the tropical-patterned shirt of the brother ahead, the intricate designs and vibrant colors made Tang Tang dizzy.
Meanwhile, Dou Dou at the back kept looking around.
Just then, a train arrived, and many children poured off, calling for their grandma or mama, creating quite a commotion.
Some just off the train ran to the back wanting another ride.
Dou Dou looked back and saw a little boy lining up behind her, about four or five years old, in a white shirt, blue shorts, with a mushroom haircut, looking cute.
Seeing him just off the train, Dou Dou asked, "Is the train fun?"
The little boy was first stunned, then nodded repeatedly.
"It's fun, I've ridden many times and never got bored. But are you talking to me?"
"Who else?" Dou Dou found the boy odd.
"You can see me?" The little boy asked excitedly.
"Who else?"
Dou Dou turned to speak directly to him.
"I'm a ghost, aren't you scared?"
The boy made a ghost face, acting all fierce, asking if she was frightened.
"Ghost?"
"Yes, you see, I have no shadow... oh?"
The boy looked down to point to the ground, trying to scare Dou Dou but got startled himself, instinctively stepping back.
Because Dou Dou also had no shadow.
He quickly realized.
"You're a ghost too?" The boy looked thrilled.
Dou Dou was about to explain when she felt her shirt tugged, turned to see it was Tang Tang pulling her shirt, pointing at the queue ahead.
Dou Dou then noticed they'd already moved quite a bit forward, the train having dropped off its passengers, their turn to board.
"Can't chat now."
She turned and pulled Tang Tang to hurry after the queue.
"Wait for me... huh..."
The boy also chased after but suddenly noticed the other little sister had a shadow.
This seemed off, his brain couldn't compute.
With many kids already on the train, Dou Dou and Tang Tang naturally sat together.
The boy wanted to board but was pushed away by Dou Dou.
"Don't board here, we don't have space," Dou Dou said.
The boy was pushed away, seemed a bit dejected, stepped back and stood aside.
"I'll wait here for you."
He crossed his arms, seeming eager to communicate with Dou Dou.
"Okay."
Dou Dou had no time to talk, the train already moving, excited little bottoms bouncing, thankfully wearing seatbelts, or they might have thrown themselves off.
The boy watched the train leave, sighed as the joy faded in that moment.
He turned and saw a big brother beyond the railing waving at him.
The boy confusedly pointed at himself.
Shen Siyuan nodded with a smile.
The boy walked over puzzled, glanced at the shadow on the ground.
"Are you human?" He asked surprised.
Shen Siyuan nodded with a smile.
"Then... how can you see me?"
Seeming to think of something, looked towards the train, asked, "Is the little sister part of your family?"
Shen Siyuan nodded again with a smile.
"Hello, brother, I'm Lu Zimo."
The boy introduced himself politely.
