Chapter 663: Changing Personality
Ruan Hongzhuang woke up early, looked around, and sure enough, the two of them were absent on business.
Ruan Hongzhuang couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. Once or twice, it's whatever, but every day like this, do they really think she doesn't exist?
She was not angry because Shen Siyuan and Taozi got up early but because they secretly ate without her knowing, based on her understanding of Taozi.
If Taozi didn't go out for a midnight snack, there's no way she would wake up earlier than Ruan Hongzhuang.
So she stormed out of the room, slightly irritated, and as soon as she stepped out, she heard Taozi's cheerful singing.
"I have a dream, like a rainbow after the rain, exchanging all tears for a smile, and there's a kind of love that traverses the crowd..."
Following the sound, she saw Taozi on the balcony, dragging the reluctant Tang Tang, making her dance with her.
Tang Tang, unwilling as she was, couldn't break free as Taozi spun her around, despite her struggles and cries.
She could only droop her head despondently, accepting her fate.
But soon, perhaps influenced by Taozi's joyful mood, Tang Tang also lightened up, continuously giggling foolishly.
"So happy?"
Ruan Hongzhuang's jealousy grew as she glanced around, not seeing the shadow of Shen Siyuan.
Thinking for a moment, she walked toward Taozi and the others.
Seeing Ruan Hongzhuang approach, Taozi immediately released Tang Tang and cheerfully said, "Ruan Ruan, good morning."
Ruan Hongzhuang was momentarily stunned by Taozi's radiant smile which was as brilliant as the morning sun, leaving her slightly dazed.
She paused for several seconds before replying, "Good morning."
Taozi hopped over, grabbed both of her hands, and happily said, "Let's dance."
"Dance... dance?" Ruan Hongzhuang was somewhat confused.
"Yes, don't you think today's weather is wonderful?" Taozi replied.
Ruan Hongzhuang glanced at the sky outside the balcony, which was a clear blue, cloudless expanse, and nodded in agreement.
"In this weather, don't you think the world is beautiful? Aren't you in a good mood?"
As she spoke, she swayed Ruan Hongzhuang's arms, twisting her hips and waist, already starting to dance.
Taozi had learned dancing as a child, which wasn't surprising. In families like hers, children receive some form of art education—ballet, piano, painting, etc.—for comprehensive interest development, comprehension rather than expertise.
That was Taozi's case. Not only did she learn ballet, but also Latin and jazz dance, among others, though just briefly. She had forgotten most of it after reaching adulthood, and with her lazy disposition, she naturally forgot all dance techniques entirely.
Back at the company, Wei Suhua suggested to Secretary Jiang to film some dance videos, as beauties shaking their hips and waist would attract lots of views.
But Taozi refused because she really couldn't dance.
Ruan Hongzhuang knew Taozi well and was naturally aware of this, but seeing Taozi's smooth and relaxed movements at this moment, exuding a delightful charm, she could really feel her joyous mood through the dance.
Seeing such an unexpected change, Ruan Hongzhuang reached out to pinch Taozi's face with doubt, "Are you really Taozi?"
"If I'm not Taozi, who else could I be?"
Previously, Taozi would have dodged Ruan Hongzhuang's hand, but now she stretched her neck towards Ruan Hongzhuang's outstretched hand.
Even so, she kept twisting her body like a hyperactive child, never stopping.
"Let's dance together."
Taozi forcefully spun Ruan Hongzhuang around.
Ruan Hongzhuang, bewildered, danced with her for a while.
But before she could continue questioning, Taozi suddenly released her hands and grabbed Tang Tang, who was quietly trying to sneak away.
"Tang Tang, come join us."
"Let's sing."
"Is my singing good?"
...
Ruan Hongzhuang was puzzled by Taozi's changes, both confused and embarrassed, but for some reason, she quickly brushed it aside, becoming cheerful herself.
She even actively sang a Jiangnan ditty.
Until Shen Siyuan, after showering, appeared in the living room, and Taozi left them to find him, bringing Ruan Hongzhuang back to her senses.
"What's happening to me?" Ruan Hongzhuang wondered, puzzled.
Glancing down at Tang Tang, who was looking up at her.
"Do you know?" Ruan Hongzhuang casually asked.
Hearing this, Tang Tang wiggled her butt twice and gave her a silly grin.
"Alright, shouldn't have asked you."
Returning to the living room, she saw Taozi circling Shen Siyuan, brushing her hips and chest against him in an extremely suggestive manner.
Ruan Hongzhuang walked over irritably to pull her away.
"What's with the fuss so early in the morning?"
Taozi wasn't angered by her words, giggling as she replied, "Nothing, I'm just teasing Si Yuan, don't be jealous."
Before Ruan Hongzhuang could retort, Taozi, hands behind her back, hopped back to her room.
"What's with her, did she bump her head or consume something?"
Ruan Hongzhuang wasn't dumb; she already noticed Taozi's unusual behavior.
Shen Siyuan sighed and said, "She bumped her head."
"Really?" Ruan Hongzhuang widened her eyes, looking incredulous.
"Of course not, I taught her a cultivation technique last night, and she became like this."
"What kind of cultivation technique can change a person's personality?" Ruan Hongzhuang inquired, surprised.
But soon she recalled her own practice of the "Heavenly Maiden's Skill," appearing to have similar effects, albeit subtly and over a long period, not instantly reversing one's character.
"The technique I taught her is called the 'Luofeng Twelve Floors,' an Inner Vision Visualization Technique. Practicing it made her spirit extremely active, hence her high energy, but it hasn't altered her personality," Shen Siyuan explained.
Ruan Hongzhuang seemed puzzled, "But she's clearly very different from usual."
"That's because personality is not singular. As a child, Taozi was likely mischievous too. Think about Dou Dou; you shouldn't be surprised. With age, societal and moral constructs form chains on one's character, and as the mind matures, one gradually becomes… ladylike…"
Hearing this, Ruan Hongzhuang realized that both their parents' generation had similar expectations for girls: quiet, ladylike, hardworking, frugal, and such traditional virtues.
But it takes all kinds to make a world, and not all women are naturally quiet and gentle. Some, like Dou Dou and Taozi, are lively by nature.
With Taozi practicing the 'Luofeng Twelve Floors,' it seemed to have unlocked these psychological chains, freeing her nature, and with her exceedingly active spirit, she appeared more energetic and lively.
Almost like a child or a girl entering puberty, full of curiosity about the world and seemingly boundless energy.
"So… when will she return to normal?" Ruan Hongzhuang asked.
"Why return to normal? Isn't this better?" Shen Siyuan countered.
Ruan Hongzhuang, feeling troubled, pinched her brows and said, "It's neither good nor bad, just that I feel I'll have a headache dealing with her in the future."
