For instance, facing a large opponent, it naturally assumed speed would be its advantage, so it aimed to keep a distance, planning to wear Dragonite down with hit-and-run tactics.

Circling in the air, the Mega-Evolved Aerodactyl, with its 150 Speed stat, zipped through the sky, leaving afterimages in its wake.

But Luo Yuan remained calm.

After all, he'd trained Aerodactyl himself.

It was easy for him to see through its tactics; he knew that this harassment strategy relied on unsettling the opponent, creating an opening for a decisive blow.

From the air, Aerodactyl launched a barrage of Rock Slide.

Massive rocks rained down, gaining momentum from gravity, each one packing considerable force.

Luo Yuan instructed Dragonite, "Don't panic. Set up Reflect, and watch its movement closely."

Knowing Aerodactyl's quirks, Luo Yuan understood its patterns. In a limited battle area, Aerodactyl couldn't truly move freely, so its path had to be predictable.

As for Reflect, it was a skill Luo Yuan had taught Dragonite, who also knew Light Screen, to compensate for its lower defenses.

A large, translucent shield materialized above Dragonite, enveloping it in a protective barrier.

The rocks clattered against the Reflect barrier, producing a sound like raindrops on a tin roof.

After its first attempt failed, Aerodactyl wasn't discouraged.

It opened its mouth and fired soundwaves, bombarding Dragonite with Supersonic to disorient it.

But by then, Luo Yuan had already identified Aerodactyl's flight pattern.

"Dragonite, move to the ten o'clock position and use Dragon Pulse."

At Luo Yuan's command, Dragonite spread its wings. Despite its massive size, it surprised everyone, even Professor Oak, with its agility.

As if its bulk were just for show, Dragonite darted forward with a single flap, soaring like an arrow from a bow.

Evading the sonic waves, Dragonite opened its mouth and launched a mighty Dragon Pulse.

The large purple beam tore through the sky like a spear, cutting straight toward Aerodactyl's path.

Caught off-guard by this perfectly timed attack, Aerodactyl hastily tried to stop and evade.

But having only recently achieved its Mega form, Aerodactyl was still struggling to control its increased speed.

With a Speed stat of 150, further boosted by its prior acceleration, Aerodactyl strained its wings, attempting to change direction, but couldn't fully dodge the powerful beam.

Dragon Pulse grazed the tip of its wing.

Screeeech!

Pain coursed through Aerodactyl's body, causing it to wobble in the air, its flight path destabilized. Combined with its abrupt change of direction, its speed plummeted.

Luo Yuan, who'd been watching closely, seized the opportunity.

"Dragonite, use Agility!"

The large Dragonite moved with surprising grace, charging toward Aerodactyl like a chubby orange lightning bolt.

In the blink of an eye, it was right beside Aerodactyl, whose eyes widened in shock.

"Use Thunder Wave!"

Luo Yuan opted for the move that most trainers dreaded.

But in its desperate evasion, Aerodactyl overlooked one detail.

"Is it offering me an opening? No… Aerodactyl's not that clever."
