Tangled in Power

Chapter 14: Chapter 12: Framed

Sabrina forced herself to breathe.

The weight of the accusations pressed down on her, but she knew one thing for certain—this was a setup. And if she didn't act fast, she would be the one to take the fall.

She met Nathaniel's sharp gaze. "Give me 24 hours. I'll prove I didn't do this."

A tense silence followed. Nathaniel's fingers tapped against the polished surface of the table, his expression unreadable. The executives shifted uncomfortably, waiting for his response.

Then, finally, he smirked.

"Fine. You have 24 hours." His voice was calm, but there was something dangerous beneath it. "But if you fail, you'll be out of this company. And I don't just mean fired."

A chill ran down her spine. She knew exactly what he meant.

Sabrina didn't waste another second. As soon as the meeting ended, she headed out of the boardroom, her mind racing. Whoever did this wanted her gone, and they were smart enough to take advantage of her credentials.

Which meant… they had access.

She hurried to the IT department, demanding the login records for her account. The tech team hesitated but eventually handed them over. Sabrina scanned the data, her stomach twisting when she saw the time the files were leaked—2:47 AM.

She was home at that time. Asleep.

Her account had been hacked.

But who had the skills and motive to frame her?

A name flickered in her mind—Damian Hale.

He was one of the senior executives who had always hated Nathaniel's trust in her. Despite his decades of expertise, Nathaniel chose her for this position, and he had everything to gain from her downfall.

Sabrina clenched her fists.

If Damian thought she would go down without a fight, he was dead wrong.
