Tales of demons and gods: Ultimate Villain

Chapter 9: Ch 9 Slave inscription technique continuous upgrades.

After taking a moment to calm himself, he summoned a guard. Handing over a pouch containing ten thousand demon spirit coins, he said, "Bring me one hundred live snow rabbits. Make it quick."

The guard bowed deeply. "As you command, Master."

Once the guard departed, he returned to his bed, sitting cross-legged in a meditative posture. His breathing slowed as his focus deepened, allowing the power of his newly acquired cultivation technique to flow freely through his body. He could feel his spirit force surging, each pulse refining his strength.

In less than an hour, his strength leaped from 1-star to 2-star Silver Rank. A typical cultivator would require the accumulation of a thousand points of soul force to advance a single level in the Silver Rank. However, his progress consumed a staggering 5,000 soul force, a testament to the extraordinary nature of his cultivation technique.

'This technique isn't just powerful—it's alive. It evolves and perfects itself the more I use it,' Lakeman mused, his blood-red eyes gleaming with curiosity and ambition. 'Could it be that when I reach Gold Rank as a demon spiritualist, my spiritual realm will expand again? Just like it did when I advanced from Bronze Rank to Silver Rank?'

He halted his cultivation as the thought took root, letting the possibilities swirl in his mind. A sharp knock on the door interrupted his reverie.

Knock.

"Master, I've brought the snow rabbit demonic beasts," the guard's voice rang from outside.

"Enter," Shen Fei commanded, his tone calm but firm.

Creak.

The door swung open, and the guard stepped in, carrying two large iron cages. Inside, the oversized snow rabbits thrashed wildly. Their pristine white fur glistened under the dim light, their crimson eyes blazing with primal fury. They banged against the bars, their desperation palpable.

"Leave them here and go," Shen Fei ordered, gesturing to the floor.

The guard placed the cages carefully on the ground, bowed, and exited, closing the door behind him.

Shen Fei walked over to the cages, studying the creatures intently. A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "So, these are the snow rabbits," he murmured to himself. "I had no idea such demonic beasts existed. This wasn't covered in the original novel, nor did Shen Fei's memories reveal anything about them. Only after delving into the ancient texts did I uncover their existence."

He crouched down, unlocking one of the cages. The latch clicked, and he reached inside, grabbing a rabbit by its long ears. It kicked and squirmed, its tiny claws scratching at the air in vain. Its sharp teeth snapped, attempting to bite, but it was powerless against him.

Holding the rabbit up to eye level, Shen Fei examined it closely. "Just as the texts described," he muttered, his voice tinged with fascination. "Despite its ferocious appearance, it's laughably weak. Even a child who hasn't reached Bronze Rank could easily dispatch dozens of these creatures."

The rabbit let out a high-pitched squeal, but Shen Fei was unmoved. He continued to observe its futile struggles with cold detachment, his mind already calculating the next step in his experiment.

"Let's try the slave inscription pattern I learned from Shen Hong's secret library," Shen Fei muttered to himself, his tone calm and calculated. He gently knocked the rabbit unconscious to prevent it from struggling, then prepared to draw the intricate inscription on its forehead.

A faint silver glow emanated from his fingertip, reflecting his cultivation rank. Using his spirit force as ink, he began etching the complex pattern onto the rabbit's forehead with precise movements.

The delicate strokes shimmered faintly as they came together. For a moment, it seemed like the pattern would hold, but the moment he lifted his finger, it crumbled and dissipated into tiny motes of light.

"Failed," Shen Fei remarked, his expression remaining indifferent. Failure didn't surprise him. The slave inscription technique was notoriously flawed and demanding. Its success rate was abysmally low, even when applied to targets with cultivation levels significantly lower than the caster. On top of that, the target had to be incapable of resisting, such as being unconscious or critically injured.

"As for those with cultivation on par with or greater than the caster," Shen Fei mused, "enslaving them is outright impossible. If it weren't, the creators of this technique would already be ruling the world."

Despite his failure, Shen Fei was unfazed. Determined to master the technique, he continued trying, again and again, on the same rabbit. His talent, God Rewards Hard Work, began to show its influence. With each attempt, the slave inscription pattern evolved and became more refined, gradually molding itself into perfection under his tireless effort.

After countless attempts, Shen Fei finally succeeded. The pattern, upon completion, shrank and sank into the rabbit's forehead, marking it as his slave. He awakened the rabbit, which still attempted to attack him in its primal fury. Unperturbed, Shen Fei invoked the inscription pattern in his mind. The rabbit let out a sharp, anguished scream and ceased its aggression.

"To test further..." Shen Fei murmured, his blood-red eyes narrowing. He focused his mind, commanding the rabbit to die. Without hesitation, the rabbit collapsed, lifeless, as the inscription activated.

With newfound confidence, Shen Fei turned his attention to the other rabbits. He began drawing the slave inscription pattern on each one, pulling them from the cages one by one.

With every successful attempt, the technique grew more potent and efficient, evolving rapidly under the influence of his talent. His progress accelerated until he could execute the process flawlessly, even with his eyes closed.

As the technique perfected itself, the enslaved rabbits began showing noticeable changes. They no longer displayed hostility but instead became docile and obedient. Each new rabbit accepted Shen Fei's dominance with increasing intimacy and loyalty as the pattern settled in their minds.

Eventually, all but one rabbit had been sacrificed. The last rabbit cowered in the corner of its cage, trembling as it witnessed the fate of its comrades. Shen Fei smirked, pointing his glowing finger at the frightened creature. The inscription pattern instantly flew from his fingertip, sinking into the rabbit's mind with precision.

The transformation was immediate. The rabbit stood up calmly, its crimson eyes devoid of fear or resistance. Instead, it gazed at Shen Fei as if awaiting orders, entirely submissive.

"Perfect," Shen Fei said softly, a faint smile of satisfaction curling his lips. "The technique is now flawless. Let's see what else I can achieve."

"Finally," Shen Fei said, a grin spreading across his face, "there's now a one hundred percent success rate for those whose cultivation is lower than mine. The slaves are perfectly obedient, and I've refined the technique to the point where I no longer need to draw the inscription pattern or even touch the target. With just a thought, the inscription can form and reach the target directly. Pointing my finger is nothing but a pretense—it just looks impressive."

He chuckled, his laughter growing louder until it echoed in the room. "This technique has evolved to the point where I can enslave anyone weaker than me, ensuring their complete loyalty."

"Go die," Shen Fei commanded once his laughter subsided.

The rabbit, which had been calmly awaiting orders, immediately began clawing at its neck without hesitation. It tore through its flesh and collapsed, lifeless, all without so much as a cry of pain. The imprint in its mind had made Shen Fei's orders its ultimate purpose.

After finishing his experiments, Shen Fei summoned a guard. "Clean up this mess and carry the rabbit corpses out," he instructed. He handed the guard a space ring filled with fifty thousand demon spirit coins. "Use all of this to buy more snow rabbits. I need as many as possible."

The guard bowed. "Understood, Master."

As the maids scrubbed away the bloodstains, several guards carried the corpses out while others left to acquire more rabbits. Before long, they returned with more cages filled with the creatures.

Once the guards had placed the cages and departed, closing the door behind them, Shen Fei resumed his relentless use of the slave inscription technique. He enslaved the rabbits one by one, testing the imprints by commanding them to kill themselves in various ways. By the time he had finished with all the rabbits, evening had arrived, and it was time for dinner.

Shen Fei washed up, changed into clean clothes, and made his way to the dining hall. Humming a cheerful tune, he thought to himself, 'After so much practice, this technique has evolved even further. I can feel it—it's now capable of enslaving cultivators of the same rank with a one hundred percent success rate. And if they're seriously injured or unconscious, it might even work on those stronger than me, though the success rate would be lower.'

"With my talent, it won't be long before I can enslave anyone I desire," he muttered under his breath, a smug smile on his lips as he entered the dining hall.

Inside, only Shen Xiu remained, sitting gracefully at the table. Shen Fei took a seat beside her, helping himself to some food while his gaze lingered on her. His eyes roamed over her figure, settling on her legs, which were exposed up to her hips by the high slits in her dress.

Unable to restrain himself, Shen Fei reached out, placing a hand on her thigh. He rubbed her soft skin slowly, his hand gradually moving higher. As he attempted to slip his hand beneath her clothes, Shen Xiu grabbed his wrist and stopped him.

Her sharp glare pierced him, but Shen Fei merely grinned, his eyes brimming with lust as he scanned her exposed body again. "Aunt, you're committing a crime," he said teasingly. "Wearing such a revealing and seductive dress… Are you trying to tempt your innocent nephew?"

Shen Xiu's face darkened with anger. Her chest rose and fell as she struggled to control her temper, a movement Shen Fei watched intently, savoring every moment.

'Forget it, Shen Xiu,' she thought, her mind clouded with frustration. 'You can't overpower him anymore.'

With that, she ignored his advances and focused on eating, pretending he wasn't there.
