Tales from the Moon: Dragon Legends

Chapter 5: V. Nothing is that Easy

After the break time is over, each group begins to throw small, concentrated fireballs as a sign that each group is ready. A relatively simple mission should be, many times they had to face danger and guard areas, even if this mission was not in the interest of the guild, despite their discontent they had to handle the mission as the good warriors that they were.

"See that?" A mysterious dragon asks his own.

"Those fireballs, so precise and small. Without a doubt, it is from the Song of the Moon guild" The blue dragon with skeleton markings on its face clarified to his companions.

"It seems that tonight we will not be able to get valuables," says another mysterious dragon that shared the same features as the blue one.

Despite the disappointment, he showed himself in the voices of those mysterious dragons. The blue dragon with a big smile and uncontrollable emotion lets out a small laugh.

"It's a joke?" He turns to see his companions "tonight we will not get leftovers, no HeHeHe. Tonight we will get our brothers a great fortune."

"But boss" A pink dragon is approaching "that guild is not supposed to be a guild for excellence. I understand that it is valued as Class S, the highest level among the guilds" The female clarifies with doubts.

"Relax everyone, that's what I'm for." He looks at each dragon that accompanied him "I will be the one who interacts directly with them, wait for my signal so that they can take everything of value from them" Explains the blue dragon excitedly.

Despite doubts, all of the group of hooded dragons accept their leader's decision and move cautiously, hoping that the blue dragon would know what he was doing. The first group of six from the Song of the Moon guild were ambushed with a strange smell that affected their senses, the visions became blurred and the sound was lost becoming deaf. The blue dragon makes signals with his tail warning his group to move, while he made sure that the six dragons were unconscious; if they weren't, just a good blow to their faces was enough.

"This will be a wonderful night for us."

With a smile on his face, the blue dragon watches as his friends strip them of their valuables, weapons, and anything else that would be of interest to the small group of mysterious dragons.

As the night wore on the small group of spawn moved cautiously and cunningly guided by their leader, they easily repeated the same trick with the second group and it was a success to the delight of that group of thieves.

In another area of that town, Driguielix and Alexandra's group moved around guarding different points in the area. It had been a few hours since she began her patrol rounds, despite having started the mission, the young human felt that she should say something about her behavior towards her companions, but she did not know what she could say to the captain.

"You must learn to better control that attitude Alexandra" The human girl directs her attention to Driguielix.

"Captain, me."

"I know the reason is that you defended the guilds other than yours; that's wrong." The girl looks at her captain without being able to understand what he said. "Before you say something, I understand you, all guilds have their virtues, but the first rule of guilds is" Look at the girl calmly "that all guilds look down on themselves, even the one your mother founded, maybe not when she was the leader, but dragons are usually very proud"

"Captain Drigielix"

"Silence" He raises his hand for her to shut up.

The white dragon noticed a strange smell in the environment, this was a kind of anesthetic in gaseous form that was difficult to detect for any warrior of low levels, except for those who already had experience dealing with that gas.

"Quick everyone, go ... go!"

The white dragon sees how his companions began to show symptoms of losing consciousness, they looked disoriented, everyone except Alexandra who did not seem to understand what was happening but looked alert. Drigielix flies fast into the sky and thrusts a dagger into his leg to be awakened by pain.

"Alexandra move and get away from the area!" Scream Drigielix from the sky.

Looking confused at her captain "What are you saying?! But our companions!"

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about your teammates." Hearing that, the young human without wasting time grasps her sword and turns quickly to see the owner of that male voice. "For you to move with that kind of speed means the anesthetic didn't work" The blue dragon stands in front of her.

"Who fangs are you?" The girl looks aggressively at the hooded stranger.

The blue dragon looks carefully at the curious warrior in front of him, it was not a dragon, it was too small and thin compared to the other dragons, even the smallest female of the species. Quickly the bluish moves dodging a gust of cutting wind that was thrown by the dragon that was in the sky.

"Who are you, curious creature?" He asks in a sympathetic voice without taking his eyes off the flyer.

"I asked first"

"You are a skeletal dragon right!" The dragon with its blasts of air cleans the area and returns to the ground "Only you have the power to make the different dragons lose consciousness with your gases"

The blue dragon takes off his hood with everything and coat showing an appearance of bones with scales, this amazes Alexandra, she believed that there were only three different classes of dragons, not including the Ancestral. And yet a skeletal class was in front of her, it was strange because of the shape of its face and the protruding bones of that male dragon's body, it did not look like it was dead or decomposed, it was just like part of her scaly skin.

"I highly doubt that you are a sister, the others treat our class like monsters and outcasts of society. So before you take off that rare armor, how about you show your face." He mockingly demands the dragon.

She smirks at the blue's request. "Ha, as if obeying your orders" She adopts an offensive position, then her captain does the same.

"You better answer for your actions, knocking my boys unconscious is not something that can be easily forgiven."

Both warriors look defiantly at the stranger who was looking at them with a vain and confident smile.

"My name is Ssaull, a Greater Dragon of the Skeleton." Both warriors are surprised to hear that.

The title of Greater Dragon was something that only the Dragon King granted to the dragons in the kingdom of Shairum, a title of pride and recognition for your glories and battles, many dragons of the three classes have been bearers of this honor, but they have never been he had heard of an Elder Dragon of the skeletal class.

The dragon observes them with amusement, delighting in the expressions of disbelief on their faces "I bet that in their little minds they say, it is a lie that this monster has such an important title as a Greater Dragon". He mockingly comments.

"No matter what you think we think, we have a duty to ensure tranquility in this town" Drigielix makes a sign to Alexandra, she nods and they both run towards their opponent.

With swords in hand, both try to attack their opponent who dodges the sharp attacks while subtly exhaling smoke from between his jaws. Taking out some slightly long daggers, Ssaull defends himself from his adversaries, making sure that the sparks caused by those collisions of the metals hide the smell of anesthetic gases from him, with that he could buy time while his strategy was completed. Before Drigielix could become aware of the anesthetic in the environment, Ssaull lashed out at times with fierce blades and bone-reinforced tail attacks at the whitish warrior, thus ensuring that the white dragon's attention was focused on his eyes and movements instead of keeping an eye out for smells. Despite Alexandra's nimble and precise movements, she couldn't even get close to touching Ssaull. Even if the blue one paid close attention to the white dragon so that it did not try to escape when it realized its senses, the skeletal dragon did not lower its guard against its fierce female opponent who perfectly mastered the agile style of the oceanic dragons by their way of moving and attack; even so, the appearance of the female did not resemble that of an ocean dragon which intrigued Ssaull.

The white dragon again notices how his vision and ability to distinguish sounds were lost, if he did not return to heaven he would be lost like the human, with a rapid movement of his wings he propels himself quickly to the sky. With an obvious smile Ssaull throws her blades at Alexandra, she dodges them with a few jumps without problems marking the distance between her and the blue one.

"Where are you going?" With a strong jump, Ssaull catches Drigielix, giving him a head butt throws him against the grass returning both to the ground "A finished captain and only one little warrior is missing" Referring to the warrior.

"Breathe and stay focused Alexandra, for this, you trained hard for ten years," She thought, clinging tightly to her sword, the human moves to be between her captain and the strange skeletal dragon, even if she was nervous, as a true warrior would fight until the end. final to protect his captain and companions.

She sees how a tail was going fiercely against her so instinctively she puts her left arm to protect herself from it, she activates a mechanism that releases a shield from the armor's forearm to receive and block the blow. The secret mechanism of the armor attracted the dragon's interest more, if it weren't for the blue dragon trying to steal her things, it would almost offer him a good price to buy said armor.

"It is indeed a great armor," The dragon takes a while to contemplate it again "although I do not quite understand the shape of it and the lack of the tail. What kind of dragon wears such a small armor?"

"Why don't you find out!" She runs against Ssaull and attacks again with agile and precise strikes, but to no avail. The dragon easily managed to respond and avoid the human's attacks on his person. The girl notices the carefree behavior of the dragon as if this was not a real fight for him.

"Hey little warrior this is boring, you will never succeed uh" Ssaull is surprised with a grab from Driguielix who thought he was unconscious.

Trying to hold him with what little strength he had "Now Alexandra!" Quickly she manages to drive her blade a bit into the blue's shoulder, causing the dragon a lot of pain. A gasp was heard from Ssaull feeling the terrible sensation that only weapons caused when they hurt the body, this only angered him a lot, with his tail he frees himself from Driguiexi's grip and hits him with it to this time make sure he does not get up.

"Don't tell me you have never been hurt, little dragon" Teasingly the girl returns to adopt her combat pose.

Ssaull it was clear to him that the anesthetic gases that she released him did not succeed in taking effect and she was not a skeletal sister like him, there was only one clear answer to the possibility of her, but he had to check it. With ferocity and agility, the blue dragon begins to use the same oceanic style that the human did of her, only that it was superior to hers. His movements were faster and more aggressive, he was looking for the fragile points in the warrior's posture and movements, Alexandra was moving as best she could to avoid the dragon's attacks, but she could not move like this, she was quickly turned on her head and shaken so that he would drop his sword aside and pose no threat to the skeletal dragon.

"Let's see what you hide with that mask" Ssaull reached out with her arms to strip the human of her helmet, but she resisted moving and throwing punches and kicks with her free leg. However, Ssaull easily grabs her limbs and holds them with one arm while the other removes her helmet.

Alexandra begins to notice more skeletal dragons that were approaching the area to take objects from her comrades in arms. Objects were being taken away from her and she couldn't do anything to stop it except maybe.

"Sxhiesr Ruxys Alfiess!" She yells, making a loud electrical blast away from Ssaull and scaring the skeletal dragons by releasing the objects they were grabbing onto the ground to get away from her.

"The Tongue of the Ancients" Ssaull looks surprised at the warrior for reciting a little-known spell. Still, he notices that he had the warrior's helmet in his right hand. "YOU ARE A DAMN HUMAN!" He screams in amazement that the warrior who cast the spell was a human with a slightly burned face.

Ssaull had never seen anything like this, a human who managed to use the language of the ancestors perfectly to conjugate his ancient magic, especially who fought as a companion to the most closed-minded guild of all. Perhaps he died without knowing it in that electrical outbreak and what he saw was only the product of a strange limbo, he touches his wound on his shoulder feeling the pain and revealing that he was alive.

"Boss, what do we do?" A female black dragon asks Ssaull who was still surprised.

The dragon sees how his companions see him waiting for an order to continue stealing or retreat prematurely, certainly they shared the same amazement as their leader when they saw a human cast an ancient spell. For the race of dragons that were considered to have seen it all, this was undoubtedly a new and impressive event for them. For her part, Alexandra was nervous and scared, she could not move her legs and was at the mercy of those dragons, especially because of the blue who was a formidable adversary, if two warriors could not face her against the strength and skill of that opponent. A human who can't move her legs was certainly more than easy prey to kill. Would it be the end of her?

"FIRE!" A scream was heard in the distance and a lot of arrows and fireballs were seen in the sky in the direction of the skeletal dragons. They quickly evade the projectiles and Ssaull throws the helmet back at the human and then runs with hers.

She did not understand why the dragon who seemed interested in taking her armor returns her helmet, however, she smiles at having managed to prevent her groupmates from losing her things or at least a large part of them. She still managed to fight her best to keep things from getting worse, but this only showed her that she still had a lot to do if she wanted to be a strong and unstoppable warrior.
