Chapter 139: Special Tool "Civilization Order"._2
"Train Captain, please choose one of the following five difficulty-level gifts. Upon completion, you will receive the corresponding reward."
"If you fail, you will not be able to take on any other tasks."
-
S-Level Difficulty Gift: A small spark can ignite a great fire. Even if a civilization declares complete extinction, some remnants of hope always remain. In the days to come, you will need to gather the surviving goblins and shelter them with your train. Once more than 50 goblins are under your protection, you will have completed the task.
ps: When a civilization perishes, all goblins will lose their intelligence and become monsters. They might attack you or cause trouble, but try to show some tolerance towards them in the spirit of the Civilization Order.
Reward: Civilization Order.
-
A-Level Difficulty Gift: You will sleep here for 30 days. During this period, your consciousness will be drawn into a virtual space, where you must survive the final battle as the Goblin Civilization faces extinction. Successfully survive for 30 days to pass.
ps: Your train will manifest in the virtual space.
Reward: A random blue-grade accessory blueprint.
-
B-Level Difficulty Gift: You will be the only one able to view a sequence of images of a goblin city before its fall. After viewing, you will be asked five questions. Answer four correctly to pass.
ps: The answers are within the images.
Reward: A random yellow-grade accessory blueprint.
-
C-Level Difficulty Gift: Your consciousness will inhabit a goblin's body, entering an extremely dark space. You need to find a pickaxe and mine in the darkness, extracting 12 units of iron ore within 24 hours.
ps: If...beep...beep beep...the search fails...this difficulty cannot be selected.
Reward: A random green-grade accessory blueprint.
-
D-Level Difficulty Gift: An opposite-gender goblin will appear, and you need to stay in the same room with them.
ps: Try to shape it according to your aesthetic.
Reward: A random white-grade accessory blueprint. All accessory blueprints produced in this map are "Goblin Train" exclusive and can only be obtained in goblin-related areas like Goblin Ruins. They can't be used by the Mechanical Train or the Flesh and Blood Train.

"..."
Chen Mang's eyes flashed with a hint of shock. Naturally, he chose the S-Level difficulty task. It goes without saying, he could complete it once chosen.
Just that...
This panel made him realize how some monsters are formed.
When a civilization perishes, its remaining people become monsters, like goblins... or zombies, for example.
The zombie monsters in this world were not infected by any virus; they were not humans from this world transformed. Instead, they suddenly appeared after Doomsday.
So those zombies...
Were actually humans from another planet long ago, but that planet's civilization perished under Doomsday, turning them into these monsters.
If humanity's civilization on this planet declares extinction, they would also become zombies, wandering corpses who join another planet as one of its Doomsday monsters.
Hmm... This shouldn't have much to do with him, right?
He was a traveler!
There was no Doomsday in his previous world, so even if this planet's human civilization perished, it shouldn't affect him, right? It shouldn't...
Chen Mang felt a bit unsure, just how does one define a civilization's complete extinction, a countdown runs out? Or are there other determining factors?
...
After a while.
Chen Mang shook his head, stopped pondering these things, and instructed Doba to disembark to see if everything could be selected except the last. After all, this was the Goblin Ruins, basically a goblin home.
As expected.
Once Doba jumped off the train, he glanced at the goblin murals on the surrounding walls, his eyes reddened instantly, and he knelt on the ground, bawling. Clearly, he was homesick, remembering his family from before the Goblin Civilization's fall.
Quite moving.
But now wasn't the time to think about this. Chen Mang jumped off the train, pointed to the light screen in the sky, looking at Doba: "Can you help me select all options except the last one?"
"What options?"
Doba, who was originally kneeling painfully on the ground, heard Chen Mang's voice, looked in the indicated direction, confusion flashed in his eyes, he shook his head: "Great Human Prophet, I can't see the options you mentioned, there's only air there."
"..."
Chen Mang slightly frowned; it seemed only he, as Train Captain, could see this light screen. Since that was the case, there were no other choices, so he immediately selected the S-Level difficulty gift.
Almost the moment he made the selection, a voice sounded in his ears again.
-
"You have successfully completed the S-Level difficulty gift in the Adventure Map 'Goblin Ruins'."
"Obtained Special Tool 'Civilization Order'."
"This is a rather special tool. It might not directly enhance your train's combat abilities, but in the long run, it will reignite your hope amid despair."
-
Chen Mang lowered his head, looking at the Civilization Order in his hand, shaped like a token, unsure what material it was, but it felt quite heavy when lifted.
-
"Special Tool": Civilization Order.
"Special Effect": This order can help you rebuild a civilization. It is recommended to use it cautiously, at least when the train reaches Level 20. Whether rebuilding your own or others' civilization, it will put you back on the table and attract numerous enemies' covetousness.
In the universe, there are only two kinds of beings: hunters and prey.
Activating this order allows entry to the 'Goblin Tomb', an extremely dark space with abundant resource mines, allowing a 48-hour stay each time, once per month.
ps: When a civilization perishes, its last surviving belief forms this special tool. The birth of each special tool comes from the manifestation of belief, and behind each special tool, there's a story.
-
"Not bad."
Chen Mang lifted the token in his hand, smiling. Doba had once told him that after each death, he would appear in a pitch-black space with many resource mines and various scattered items.
Doba had crafted his own Goblin Train there.
And now.
With this Civilization Order, he could enter that place too, where it would be his personal Eden with abundant fruits for him to pick as he pleased.
Although special tools didn't have grade distinctions.
This one ranked first among all his acquired special tools.
The S-Level difficulty reward "Mechanical Heart" was somewhat incomparable to this special tool. Well... maybe not entirely incomparable; they each have different focuses.
...
Afterward, Chen Mang looked at the swiftly disappearing light screen in front of him.
A thirty-minute countdown appeared on it.
He needed to leave the Adventure Map within thirty minutes.
As for the C-Level difficulty gift...
"Your consciousness will inhabit a goblin's body, entering an extremely dark space. You need to find a pickaxe and mine in the darkness, extracting 12 units of iron ore within 24 hours."
The search failure message appeared after this difficulty gift, indicating it couldn't be selected.
Meaning...
In that pitch-black space, were the sleeping goblins really only this group behind him?
No.
Back in Tieling Wasteland, quite a few goblins were killed by other Train Captains. Those goblins, by rights, should also return to this dark place known as "Goblin Tomb," right?
How come it can't be selected?
Chen Mang pondered for a long time but couldn't figure it out, so he stopped thinking about it. He had a good habit: stop thinking about things he couldn't understand, preventing mental burnout.
Many people's psychological problems often come from obsessing over unsolvable issues.
