Interlude - Where We Stand
Hello again! Did you miss me? Welcome back to my world of maybes. The girls have made it through the first chapter of their trials, and now their suffering is over.
Pfft! Hahahaha! Nope, I couldn't say it with a straight face. They've unlocked a whole new world of suffering, and I, for one, can't wait to see what the fires of fate will forge them into. But first, let's get a few numbers on the table, shall we? Our silly author keeps forgetting what we're all here for. How are we supposed to keep track of it all?
Well, dear reader, I'm here for you. Let's start at the beginning. The first. The original? The host or perhaps simply the one selfish enough to call herself such. Who can say? Dear little Allison has done a lot of growing in a short period of time, but we've barely begun to see what she's capable of, for better and worse. Here's where she currently stands:
[Allison: Tier 2 Human]
[Class Slot 1: Tier 2 Incandescent Souls]*** - Level 1/10
[Class Slot 2: Tier 0 Teacher]* - Level 0/10
[Attributes]
Power: 39
Resilience: 39
Awareness: 39
Ego: 39
Will: 6
[Skills]
Inner Flames
Pyrothaumaturgy
Burning Innervation
Explosive Throw
Efficient Training
Technically she could get higher numbers by equipping [Pathfinder] again, but sometimes one must make sacrifices in the name of progress. Besides, she's much better suited to social classes, isn't she? It was a rather cruel joke to put her in such a lonely situation, but I'm sure she'll have a chance to flourish soon.

On the opposite side of that coin, we have Violet:
[Violet: Tier 2 Human]
[Class Slot 1: Tier 2 Incandescent Souls]*** - Level 1/10
[Class Slot 2: Tier 1 Savior]** - Level 6/10
[Attributes]
Power: 39
Resilience: 61
Awareness: 39
Ego: 61
Will: 6
[Skills]
Inner Flames
Pyrothaumaturgy
Burning Innervation
Explosive Throw
Protect the Innocent
Revitalization
She was so useful and important at the beginning, and now she finds herself as lost as Allison was when this journey began. It doesn't help that she's not quite the valorous knight that [Savior] invokes. Vi is far too pragmatic to be a good samaritan. There's very little she wouldn't sacrifice to protect Allison and Maggie—and that doesn't just mean herself.
Next is everyone's favorite. Love her or hate her, Magdalena makes an impression, doesn't she?
[Magdalena: Tier 2 Human]
[Class Slot 1: Tier 2 Incandescent Souls]*** - Level 1/10
[Class Slot 2: Tier 0 Tamer]* - Level 0/10
[Attributes]
Power: 39
Resilience: 39
Awareness: 39
Ego: 39
Will: 6
[Skills]
Inner Flames
Pyrothaumaturgy
Burning Innervation
Explosive Throw
Empathic Nature
That last skill is a bit ironic. "Empathic" is about the last word anyone would use to describe Maggie. She's terrible at understanding others, and just as terrible at getting them to understand her. Yet she's not as selfish and petty as she first appeared. Well—not as selfish, at least.
Finally, we have our late—hehe—surprise addition:
[E'ava'al'n Ke'ena'a: Tier 2 Human]
[Class Slot 1: Tier 2 Incandescent Souls]*** - Level 1/10
[Class Slot 2: Tier 0 Student]* - Level 0/10
[Attributes]
Power: 39
Resilience: 39
Awareness: 39
Ego: 39
Will: 6
[Skills]
Inner Flames
Pyrothaumaturgy
Burning Innervation
Explosive Throw
Efficient Lessons
Eve is an interesting one. In her own way, she's even more lost than the others. For the girls, it's an unfamiliar world, but for Evelyn it's a familiar world turned strange. Two hundred years is a long time, and this ghost might find that there's nothing left of her old life to reclaim. How will she react, I wonder? I'm eager to find out and so, I'm sure, are you!
Well, as you have probably guessed, this was little more than an excuse to summarize their stats between volumes. Did I summarize their journeys as well? If I did, it was by accident—I only care about the numbers of course.
My apologies if this doesn't give you as much to argue about in the comments. I'll try to do better when we next meet. Until then, I'll be watching from here, keeping tabs and crunching numbers as always.
