Sylia, the Dark & Light Saint

Announcement 25k views, 53 days on Rising Stars 🌟 and More…

Here we are at last!

I have been waiting for this moment for a whole month! 😭

Thank you to all the readers of my novel, and to everyone who has supported me so far. Sylia the Dark & Light Saint has just reached 25,000 views and 53 days in Rising stars Genre (hit depending on the tag selected 4 genres). With my other novel Redburn's Magic Path to Archduchess (also on several Rising Star Genres) that makes 30k views.

And I owe all of this to you!

I can't even express how grateful I am. I held on this long thanks to each of you and all those who personally supported me.

So once more, THANK YOU. 💖

For a very small niche story packed with psychological drama 🎭, that's quite an achievement. When I first started, I simply hoped to reach 1,000 views in two months—that would have been enough for me. Well, I did achieve that goal. The very first chapter alone now has that many views. 😉

I didn't run any ads—just trusted the algorithm and followed the advice of many kind veterans (while tuning out the obviously fake ones).

So for a story, with

no ads, no flashy tags like LitRPG or Progression

, written by an unknown author who openly admits her real-life profession is all about numbers 😭, who is socially invisible (I don't really do social media… or at all), and who's writing purely out of love for Fantasy—in her second language no less—well… I'd call this close to miraculous.

Of course, these numbers might not seem impressive to most, but for someone like me? They're already overwhelming.

…Well, maybe not that overwhelming. 😏 I am good with numbers and patterns, after all. That said, I still made sure to include every possible content warning in my novel—even the overly cautious ones—just to be safe and lower my chances at giving the wrong impression.

Being more of a numbers-than-words kind of person, this whole journey was a lot.

Naturally, it wasn't all smooth sailing. A very small but rather unpleasant crowd actually pushed me to persevere far longer than I initially intended after realizing I was in the wrong place to publish.

I had always planned to write quietly and without much fuss. I don't consider myself a professional writer—nor do I aspire to be one—but I do love the stories I create.

So if I can find even one other person who enjoys them too, I'm overjoyed.

And I found many more than one. Something I shall be forever grateful for!

Sure, there were haters. But in such a tiny niche genre, that's to be expected. And honestly? I appreciated the critiques—when they were honest and came from a genuine place. It's oddly satisfying when someone hates what you do, especially when they dislike the genre itself to begin with. They deserve a medal for forcing themselves to read something they loathe.

For me? Life is too short and precious to waste my time like that. I know I could never do it.

I

launched my Patreon yesterday

and started publishing there. I've been preparing this for a month, and truly enjoyed every second of the wait since I received so much support so I tried delaying it as much as possible. 😆

However I can no longer wait. It is time to prepare for my long-awaited move.

I'm heading to Patreon for now, and maybe a few quieter platforms with good moderation in the future.

As far as I'm concerned, Royal Road is better suited for casual reading than hobby writing. I love the community and the amazing works I found here. It is far more important for me than writing which is a secondary hobby.

✨✨✨

The first volume of Sylia the Dark & Light Saint is now available to download as a PDF Ebook on my Patreon

. I delayed releasing it just so I could tie it in with this announcement. 😗 It will be made free to everyone shortly.

I'll be removing Volume 1 from RR in 10 days, and this account will be closed a week after my premium subscription ends (end of October).

The volume 2 will resume in a few months since I decided to concentrate on the spinoff sequels first. It is coming nicely and I just want to make it much better than the first volume which is why i

✨✨✨

If not for the continued support of my novel's followers and loyal readers, I would have done this much earlier.

But here we are!

In a few weeks, you might be wondering: Ally who?

No, no… From now on, it shall be

Ally_Boo

! 😆

Goodbye to the Writer Account with the name "K05" that somehow got some people excited (and no, I didn't even do it on purpose—I just picked that name at random but it truly fits so I will keep it as a writer).

Now, for RR, it'll simply be Ally_Boo, doing what I originally came here to do:

Read quietly, support writers who deserve praise (which is why I am rewriting my reviews after deleting them in this account), and not worry about the rest.

For those interested in continuing to read my stories, here is the link to my Patreon! All chapters will be published there for free. Like I said I am not a professional making this for money. I will still offer some advance and special content for the Paid Members.

Thank you for reading. I love 💕 you all!

Expect a few releases before the end of the adventure! I am going all out! Cheers!
