Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 875: The Terrifying Side of Celene

Bane's name is too resonant, so as soon as they learned that all goblins would be under his control, rulers who never cared about those happy little potatoes running wild in the fields would probably suffer a big financial bleed.

From now on, lords will have to periodically pay a bounty to clear out goblins.

The Toril Gods who are staying in the Divine Kingdom must be sending messages to their followers right now... Anyway, no one would have any opinion on such messages flying around uncontrollably on that frequency-leaping Weave.

Even if it landed in the hands of enemy followers, it wouldn't matter. Who could possibly have a good relationship with Bane?

No deity would forget how they trembled when the former Mystra dropped... Although Heim did the deed, the instigator was still Bane!

If one attempt doesn't succeed, just send more. More people knowing the latest news about Bane is a good thing.

Bane, currently in the Stellar Realm, is probably jumping with rage and yelling at Celene... Although he wouldn't think that keeping the news of the goblin chief god becoming his lesser god a secret would last too long, he at least wanted to use the goblins to stir a goblin chaos first!

Magnubiyeh is also bewildered, as this contradicts the instructions Bane gave him before he descended!

He was forced to memorize so many ways of secrecy!

How was it exposed within just two sentences?

The key is, the fact that he became Bane's lesser god might be sensed by some strong forces with keen information in the Evil Faction, but how did Celene come to know?

She has just recovered to strong divine power, and Magnubiyeh has been tussling with Bane for supremacy during this time; he genuinely didn't know this information... Moreover, he truly didn't care.

Celene, the Maiden of the Moon, even when she was of intermediate divine power, he wouldn't provoke her, who wouldn't know she's the embodiment of Toril's Primordial Power!

People only fear Shaer; trying to act against her, they would probably immediately encounter Benshasha.

Though at that time, the goblin chief god wasn't afraid of her.

Even Celene with strong divine power wouldn't make him fear; as long as his attitude was good enough, the Silvermoon Maiden wouldn't necessarily try to eliminate him, he was sure of that.

Even Shaer, the eternal enemy, was only beat up violently by Celene and then released.

But the attitude must be friendly enough, preferably showing a bit of humility, as this maiden's difficulty is world-renowned.

Magnubiyeh, despite being arrogantly self-important, wasn't inclined to become an enemy of this moon maiden who could grab his main god and beat him up.

There was nothing to doubt about that; even when the Silver Madonna was of intermediate divine power, Bane didn't dare to challenge her Temple.

Magnubiyeh, no matter how he thought about it, couldn't figure out which major evil faction player would have delivered the message to Celene; that would be essentially equivalent to shouting to all of Toril!

Bane, though resented by all, still few in the Evil Faction would thoroughly offend him like this!

When Celene appeared, the Undead Tribe knew they could seize the chance to retreat, yet few did.

Only some priests quietly retreated, finding small caves with good views for temporary hiding.

The scene looked quite interesting~ After all, dying doesn't drop experience; what's spending a little money to buy a VIP seat to watch the drama, people are willing to do it.

Magnubiyeh didn't worry about these fleeing elves; besides the High-level Priest at his feet, the other goblins had already run to the foot of the hill, achieving his initial target upon arrival here.

As for other things, like teaching these lawless, disrespectful elves a lesson... who cares?

He was only forced into being a lesser god, not one of Bane's fanatic followers. Would he confront Coron just because these elves have offended Bane and frequently cursed him?

Really think staying in Hell grants perfect safety? Even if not worrying about his Divine Kingdom getting into trouble, should he worry whether the elves would take action against goblins?

If Coron really issued an order, it wouldn't just be Toril World's goblins in trouble!

Magnubiyeh struck a contemplative pose, hoping these silly elves would quickly scram... What are they still looking at? He's already withdrawn the divine aura!

Celene grasped the Scepter and tilted her head slightly... surprisingly retracting her aggressive posture.

The misjudging Shaer couldn't help but shift herself, the shadow expanding even more, appearing as if wanting to move to the stage and see what exactly Celene intended to do.

"Bane used the Mithril Chain of Sorrow on you... So, did he tether you to himself? Otherwise, even if the Zasman Dagger could kill divine beings, how could it threaten you?" Celene, in the clearest, purest voice, asked the most terrifying question, "I've heard that chain can autonomously adjust its size; otherwise, you could always shrink to goblin size and escape, right?

But if tied to a pillar, even Bane would have to circle around to catch you!

So, I didn't think wrongly, right? Did he hold you close for threats?"

Hearing such fierce words, Hill couldn't help but take a deep breath, then coughed violently.

He almost forgot what it felt like to be winded. He really didn't know whether to thank the Maiden of the Moon for bringing back some memories.

Shaer's shadow froze, never imagining that Bane controlling the Goblin Chief God, such a major event, would be overshadowed by such nonsensical things in her sister's eyes!

The shadow slowly drifted back under the gold-threaded butterfly tree, filled with a despondent aura... after fighting such a Maiden of the Moon for hundreds of thousands of years, she still couldn't defeat her!

To Shaer, it seemed like this kind of setback was too much.

The well-informed Hill, after giving himself a couple of pats on the chest, finally returned to normal.

On the giant screen, Magnubiyeh remained stiff for a long time before figuring out the content of the Maiden of the Moon's long speech. He roared in anger, "Celene! What nonsense are you speaking? We distinguish victory and defeat through honest battle! How can you humiliate a warrior like this?"

"When did Bane get associated with honesty?" Celene replied playfully, "You speak for him even after being ambushed? Truly, the days are tough for the lesser gods of the Evil Faction!"

Hill thought that Magnubiyeh must now regret backing down just to avoid a fight with Celene! After all, it's not the main body that's dying.

But the Maiden of the Moon had already spoken these words.

Now anyone could tell that Bane likely trapped him with the Mithril Chain of Sorrow during negotiations, then threatened Magnubiyeh to become his lesser god with the Zasman Dagger, designed to slay gods and ignore target defense levels.

But knowing the personality and preferences of Toril Gods and Toril people, Celene's racy story would become an eternal legend.

Magnubiyeh or Bane, this neon-colored shadow would surely accompany them for life.

Magnubiyeh was merely fierce and loved slaughter, but not stupid, so he understood just how bleak his future was.

A giant axe appeared in his hand, surrounded by flames of hatred encircling his tall figure.

No matter how much Bane calculated, it all meant nothing now. The Goblin Chief God was fighting for his own reputation.

He was going all out against Celene!

"Be your Suren! Damn woman!" The furious shout accompanied the fierce axe light as it came slashing down.

Celene, who hadn't yet reacted to what she had done, hurriedly used her scepter to block in front, only the silver light emitted from her scales helped her fend off this attack containing the Goblin Chief God's full power.

Then, she became enraged because of Magnubiyeh's words, instantly transforming into the furious War God: "Damn potato! How dare you curse me!"

The tall female warrior wielded a scepter with four crescent blades, entangled with the Goblin Chief God, fighting intensely. Magnubiyeh's axe repeatedly aimed at Celene's head, severing a few strands of her silver-white long hair.

However, whether it was her frustrated, silent sister or Hill sitting idly in his chair, all sympathy was given to the furious Magnubiyeh.

Even if Celene lost, it was merely a sacrifice of a completely unbothered avatar, but the Goblin Chief God, from now on, would be under Bane's command!

Though the Maiden of the Moon lost a life, Magnubiyeh lost his honor!

Despite understanding this clearly, Hill couldn't control the urge to laugh heartily.

Just like those undead below who understood immediately, even if they died under the vengeful Magnubiyeh's swinging axe... that truly was a divine artifact, and one swing could obliterate thousands of lives.

Yet they lay contentedly and efficiently.

Watching today's drama, it was truly thrilling live! Fortunately, they hadn't gone down the mountain trying to save a little money!

"Cyric... has come to the Shadow Realm," Shaer's voice echoed eerily. She probably urgently needed someone to vent to, so she found Hill... as for William, Shaer would have to go mad to discuss her foolish sister with him.

Hill turned his head in confusion: "Does the God of Lies want to know how you informed the Lady of the Silvermoon?"

"I only mentioned the names of those two divine artifacts!" Shaer's usually cold tone became excited, "How did she even connect things to that?

I... am actually being mocked by Cyric... He even said he didn't expect our sisterly relationship to be quite good... I... am going to become the biggest joke in the multiverse!"

Rare incoherent words proved Shaer's internal turmoil.

"Hmm..." Hill thought a bit before saying, "Honorable Lady of the Night, would the Prince of Lies be willing to accept Bane's hatred?"

Knowing Cyric well, if Bane dared to hunt him down, that would be a dream come true!

"You mean... let the Dark Sun himself admit that he informed Celene? Including fabricating these contents?" Shaer quickly understood Hill's meaning.
