Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 873: Has the Goblin Chief God Gone Mad?

The Undead Tribe initially didn't plan on demolishing the palace... Although they were accustomed to robbing and ransacking, they couldn't match the spirit of Toril people who wouldn't leave behind even a single brick.

But if the one chatting with Prince Holmes was the 'Young Master', he would probably feel indifferent, but the 'Lu Huayu' who returned to the carriage with the precautions set up, was different.

The Chief Steward gathered enough information from the prince's words, and as someone who regularly squeezed oil out of stones and fished money out of the river, he understood almost instantly what a large business it was.

A single brick could be sold for five gold coins... that's the purchasing price!

He couldn't help but turn his head to look at the palace on the mountaintop. Although the palace wasn't exactly luxurious, it could still have tens of millions of bricks, right?

'Lu Huayu' thought for a moment and realized he couldn't keep it a secret, at most he could instruct his people to gather the blasted bricks after they went up.

Such a big undertaking like wall demolition should at least be reported to the Old Dog. He didn't have that many Earth Mages under him, and their boss only liked professions that were impressive and elegant, preferably capable of creating fireworks during his dates.

As for how the Old Dog would arrange things, it was none of his business.

As long as his people felt that he did bring them some benefits, that was enough.

'Lu Huayu' smiled as he looked at the Yinbutu Crown Prince, feeling that good things do indeed happen to good people... If it weren't for wanting to keep this guy alive, he wouldn't venture up the mountain or hear such good news.

Anyway, the task of hosting the Crown Prince had already given him decent experience and military exploits, and he was quite satisfied.

However, 'Lu Huayu' couldn't help but take a subtle glance at the Yinbutu Crown Prince... Didn't they say this country was wealthy? The employment cost the Old Dog quoted wasn't low, so why was a prince so familiar with prices?

Shouldn't a normal second generation, like the 'Young Master' and their boss, be unaware of things in the world that could be bought for a few bucks?

Is this guy really the Crown Prince?

Could he be a scapegoat pushed forward to die?

They only had a deposit as their payment now! Was the Yinbutu Royal Family planning to default?

Yinbutu... constantly peddling royal assets, now lamenting that the Undead Tribe should at least not lose money this time... Having a spendthrift father, Prince Holmes shivered inexplicably, feeling a slight chill.

Was the place where succubae resided for years too eerie?

Of course, he couldn't imagine the Teraxil Elven Commander, who was smiling at him gracefully, had already thought of dozens of ways for Yinbutu to default... each would cost his life.

The stormy emotions always roiling in 'Lu Huayu's' heart, yet on the surface, he was always smiling.

He casually chatted with Prince Holmes about some court anecdotes... Road Eunuch intended to first find out whether this Crown Prince was indeed unique or tactically chosen in the nick of time.

Fortunately, the always-proud-of-his-mother Prince Holmes didn't mind talking about the Queen.

After confirming that this prince was indeed the only son of Queen Yinbutu, 'Road Eunuch' placed his left hand at the window and gently knocked... Transparent powder directly fell from the small pouch on his wrist onto the ground.

At that moment, no one would notice his small actions... The defensive shield on the mountain finally broke.

Although the Undead Tribe was very cautious of those Goblins… the one who always attacked was that archer, as if he was the only one possessing a subartifact.

But according to Goblin tradition, the three commanders should have equal status; otherwise, the other two would just become assistant commanders under the archer, not his equals.

Yet the Undead Tribe still got tricked.

A piece of constantly color-changing luminous gem was directly hurled into the Undead Tribe's ranks… judging from the Undead Mage's spells either exploding among themselves or striking their own, this should be a Thief's Stone.

Hill, watching the changing colors under the moonlight explode into a firework-like burst, felt somewhat dazed.

This stone, known as a natural subartifact, was extremely rare, typically found as a single piece in veins, cold regions, or under swamps, and was indeed very effective against magicians to some extent.

After all, it could cause magical chaos within a kilometer radius, and even employ the legendary "Gemstone Leap" Spell.

However, both effects required the destruction of the Thief's Stone... if it didn't explode, it would only cause magic disorder within a twenty-meter radius.

Thus it held great meaning for thieves... magic locks and the like stood useless before the Thief's Stone.

But even if it exploded, it was entirely useless against the Undead Tribe... they simply wouldn't care if those around them were harmed, they'd just charge right ahead if they weren't dead!

They couldn't cast spells temporarily, but the Undead Mage could still run forward to the rear of the Goblins.

Hill's eyes suddenly widened.

Another Goblin commander, who hadn't shown much behavior, upon realizing the Undead Tribe wasn't trapped by the Thief's Stone, and the knights, warriors, and swordsmen showed no intention of caring for the chaotic mages behind, only wanting to charge at them, suddenly pulled out a gnome from behind, and without hesitation, cleaved off his head with an axe.

Then he knelt on the ground and began to pray.

The other two Goblin commanders decisively led their subordinates and rushed crazily down the mountain.

"Magnubiyeh... priest?" Hill murmured.

Does the Queen of Succubus really know that among her direct subordinate Goblins, there's actually a High Priest of the Goblin Chief God?

Probably not.

The Abyssal Evil God might have some cooperation with the Evil Gods in Hell, but if demons don't want to be directly thrown onto the battlefield of the Blood War, they should stay far from Hell.

The Abyssal Will only accepts sacrifices, not explanations.

The Undead Tribe did not stop because of the bloody scene before them... who is afraid of Mosaic?

But their attempt to rush forward and kill this murderer was blocked by a circular shield that appeared on that guy... the subartifact that this priest obtained seems to be of a defensive type.

At least the attack from the Undead Tribe had no effect; that shield light didn't even flicker... no wonder they blew up the Thief's Stone, it seems his artifact can completely nullify weapon attacks.

"Eh?" Celene suddenly exclaimed in surprise, "Shaer! Look! Has Magnubiyeh gone mad?"

The Goblin Chief God, who only appeared when destroying Dwarven or Gnome cities or even countries, appeared behind his own priest with a vicious face... the black transparent web behind him was disappearing bit by bit in the burning blue flames.

Clearly, the Primordial Power was attracted by his Divine Power.

Magnubiyeh actually burned his own Divine Power path to save a bunch of Goblins, appearing at the Ridge of Giants... even if there was a High Priest of his here, it still seemed like a dream.

"Hmm?" Shaer was also puzzled, her shadow flickering twice, "Wait, let me ask Xi..."

The last two words were swallowed, but everyone who heard knew whom she intended to name.

So Celene asked without hesitation, "Why would Cyric know? Isn't all his information provided by you?"

"It's never just me who provides him with information," Shaer said softly, "Anyone who wants to kill with a borrowed knife will share some jokes with him."

"The relationship within the Evil Faction is certainly friendly," Celene's tone was full of admiration.

Hill watched the terrifying giant goblin in the giant screen: he had ebony skin, eyes glowing red, surrounded by black-red flames licking and splattering over those eyes. The mouth that was roaring revealed sharp fangs.

The ends of strong, muscular arms swinging up and down were hands like claws.

Unexpectedly, their own summoned High Priest of the Main God couldn't face Magnubiyeh's terrifying wrath at all, and fainted directly on the ground.

Hill frowned, a little worried, would the Undead Tribe be annihilated?

'Lu Huayu,' who also noticed the unfavorable situation ahead, looked at the motionless Crown Prince stunned by the appearance of the deity, feeling a bit inexplicably... they were still thousands of meters away from that goblin! Is there a need to be so scared?

The soul of the Undead Tribe, in another world, couldn't feel that kind of soul-level pressure, their first reaction upon seeing the giant monster was to smash it twice first.

Just in time, the power of the Thief's Stone was dispelled by the appearance of the deity, and endless spells were unabashedly smashed toward this huge target.

'Lu Huayu' looked around and noticed a large mountain cave located at the edge of the mountaintop and drove the carriage straight over.

Of course, he didn't forget to greet the few carriages clearing the way in front.

Chief Steward Lu couldn't help but mutter in his heart... these nobles of Yinbutu, they seem quite unlucky?

There are problems wherever they go!

Making him waste so much potion powder... he glanced at the two crows flying on top of the carriage, unable to suppress a slight smile at his lips.

Even though he didn't have the fortune to go to Hill's valley to find an animal companion, so long as the requirements weren't too high, some intelligent magical beasts, knowing the generous treatment of the Undead Tribe, would come knocking themselves.

While others might not like crows, he really liked these very alert good friends.

Especially those who could share vision with him... those invisible assassins were now frozen stiff on the coagulation powder.

This potion he made had not really had any practical combat opportunity yet!

The Undead Tribe doesn't have this thing called blood, after all.

He genuinely wanted to know if human blood would resemble blood tofu once completely coagulated.

Even after discovering that this mountain cave used to house pungent goblins, 'Lu Huayu' could hum a tune and blow the strong wind to dump the contents straight down the mountain.

Then he set the mountain cave on fire twice before sending the unfortunate Yinbutu Crown Prince inside... Road Eunuch really felt that the Crown Prince's level of bad luck could match that Old Dog.

Like this appearance of a deity... wasn't Magicplague supposed to restrict the appearance of deities? Why could this one come in nevertheless!
