Surprise! I've Transmigrated Again

Chapter 386 ⤞ The Campiones Come One After Another

While Adam and Doni fought for their lives, Neith and Andrea stood at the bow of the Sun Ship, gazing down with worried expressions.

Neith was concerned for Adam's safety, while Andrea simply worried that Doni was being too self-indulgent.

Having spent a long time with that man, Andrea knew just how terrifying Doni's powers truly were. Once this battle-maniac got too excited and carried away, he could easily sink this small island.

Even worse, the entire sea area could be in danger!

That's just how outrageous the existence of a Campione was!

The two watched as Adam and Doni — each serving their respective Kings — engaged in close combat, unleashed their powers, and fought with increasing intensity.

They wanted to intervene and stop them, but the slightest misstep amidst the aftershocks below could result in their deaths.

Suddenly, a pillar of light shot into the sky, releasing enormous pressure. When the two fighters collided, the resulting gale sent the Sun Ship flying thousands of meters away!

"My King—!"

"Doni—!"

The two instinctively shouted.

This battle was beyond their level; the onlookers couldn't intervene and could only watch, pacing anxiously back and forth on the Sun Ship.

With the vessel blown so far away by the aftershocks, they could no longer see the battlefield clearly. Since the Sun Ship had built-in protection preventing them from disembarking, all they could do was pray that neither combatant would be injured.

Andrea was sweating profusely from anxiety.

'That idiot Doni has no restraint at all! And... is the new King really this powerful? He just became a Campione — this is incredible.'

Indeed, Campiones cannot be explained by common sense.

Suddenly, the Sun Ship disappeared!

Though they didn't know exactly why, both could guess that something must have happened to Adam.

"Waaaah—!"

The sudden dissipation of the Sun Ship threw Neith into panic — after all, she was just a delicate priestess, not a sturdy knight.

Fortunately, Andrea was by her side. Using magic to fly through the air, he grabbed her hand, saving her from the embarrassment of getting drenched.

"...Thank you, Mr. Andrea."

"Don't mention it, Miss Neith. I promised the new King I would protect your safety. I stake my honor as a knight that you will not come to harm." Andrea's face was full of determination.

Although it was a cool line that offered a sense of security in this situation, Neith's thoughts were entirely focused on Adam.

Andrea's attempt to look cool was completely wasted.

"Mr. Andrea! Please take me back to land immediately — I need to contact my brother for rescue!" She pleaded, "The area affected by the battle between the two Kings is too vast. If we don't respond quickly, it will be difficult to manage later."

"...You're right, Miss Neith." Andrea replied with an embarrassed expression, "I'll take you back to land now."

Doni's lack of self-restraint was even worse than he had imagined.

He hadn't expected the new King to be so powerful — actually able to push the mighty King of Swords to this extent.

Upon reaching land, Neith urgently contacted her brother. After explaining the situation, she calmly waited for the rescue operation to begin.

Now all they could do was wait. With just the two of them, trying to locate two people in this vast sea area would be virtually impossible.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Another small, unnamed island. Adam and Doni sat on the beach.

"Wow... as expected of my brother, even though you've just become one of my kind, your strength is truly impressive! Great, great, brother!" Doni wore a bright smile, as if he hadn't been trying to slash someone with a sword just moments ago.

It made Adam so angry he wanted to punch him a couple of times.

In fact, that's exactly what he tried to do. But Doni effortlessly blocked it.

The previous island had already sunk. Now the two of them were on another small island, digging a pit on the beach, setting up a bonfire, with several delicious-looking grilled fish above it.

If not for their tattered clothes, onlookers might have thought they were just here for recreation.

"You bastard, you really were trying to kill me back there!" Adam recalled the incredible sword strike that had locked onto his energy, leaving him nowhere to dodge. He still felt a lingering fear.

If not for relying on the Immortal's Edge that cannot be broken, along with his Divine Power's desperate resistance and ten layers of spatial barriers for protection, he really might have been cut down.

Adam had been unlucky with timing. If it had been noon — at 12 o'clock — when he could use〚Phoenix〛, he could have elementalized himself, easily avoiding that sword strike.

Hearing his complaints, Doni just laughed heartily, completely unaware of his own misconduct.

"What are you talking about, brother! You blocked it pretty easily, didn't you? To be honest, I was surprised too! After all... not to brag, but my power that I take pride in has never been blocked head-on by anyone."

"...Where did you see me blocking it 'easily'?!"

But Doni was right.

Adam had directly and honorably blocked one of the strongest powers capable of killing Heretical Gods!

Whether in swordsmanship or power, they were evenly matched. As a new Campione with this level of strength that could rival his own, Doni expressed great approval.

Then, he suddenly said something strange.

"Well… brother, as proof of our close relationship, from now on I'll call you Addy, and you can call me Don!"

"...Huh?!" Adam was completely confused and couldn't help but retort, "What are you suddenly talking about, you idiot."

"Nicknames, nicknames!" Doni waved his hands enthusiastically, "These are nicknames that prove our good relationship. How about it, not bad, right?"

"..." Adam was speechless.

Setting aside the sudden declaration that they had a good relationship, he had a strong urge to mock this nickname.

What the hell is Don?! Though, it's really good that it's not Sado (Salvatore Doni)... is that what he should say?

Okay, Don Vito Corleone.

"Fine, whatever you want."

"Yeah! Let's get along well from now on, Addy!"

Doni wore a bright expression, but what he was secretly conveying was: let's have another exciting fight in the future!

Adam didn't dislike Doni's pure desire for battle, but their fights caused enormous destruction. They would need to be careful about where they clashed.

"...If possible, let's stick to small islands like this in the future."

"You're right! It's better to go to places with fewer people, otherwise we can't really cut loose." Doni nodded in complete agreement.

Just as the two were enjoying their delicious grilled fish, Felsa's rescue team finally located them.

"My King! Are you alright?! I'm so glad you're safe!" Felsa was so moved he had tears in his eyes.

Heaven knows what incredible willpower it took for him to organize this rescue. After learning from his sister that the King might be in danger, he had forcibly gathered all the enforcers from the Mage Associations, then used his sister's clairvoyance to search bit by bit from the previous battle island to find this place.

It had been 8 hours since then!

Adam looked at the two who rushed over with worried faces and said, "Oh, you're here! Thank you for your hard work, Felsa and Neith."

"Yes! My King, are you alright?!"

"I'm fine, I'm fine, Neith, you don't need to be so tense." Adam held her frantically searching hands, somewhat suspecting she might be doing it on purpose.

Seeing that he had no injuries beyond damaged clothes and being dirty, Neith breathed a long sigh of relief. Her moment of calm was short-lived, however, as Doni's next words immediately put her on edge again.

"What do you mean 'fine'? You were almost cut in half by me!"

"Hey! What are you suddenly saying?!" Adam shot Doni a secret glare, then quickly reassured Neith, "It's fine, I'm a Campione, my body has strong recovery abilities! Look, the wound has completely healed."

Doni had indeed wounded him severely.

A long, deep gash had run from Adam's left shoulder all the way to his right waist, nearly cutting him in half.

〚Ripping Silver Arm〛... This power was truly terrifying. Even with all his might, Adam had barely managed to block it.

As for why Doni suddenly exposed him — that had to do with the matching wound on Doni's own chest.

Their long swords had clashed as they contested each other's strength and powers.

Doni, too focused on winning, had shifted his blade at the last moment, trying to strike Adam when he saw an opening.

But Adam wasn't so easily caught off guard. Instead, he increased his force and struck down hard.

If not for Doni's〚Man of Steel〛power, that powerful strike could have killed him outright!

The cost, however, was that Adam was also injured. Both men fell unconscious and drifted with the waves to this island.

It was Adam's loss of consciousness that caused the Sun Ship to dissipate.

"...My King, Neith understands that battle is unavoidable, but please pay more attention to your safety... please!"

"I understand, I'll be careful."

While comforting Neith, Adam wanted to express his frustration with Doni for exposing his injury earlier. He found that Andrea had already beaten him to it, loudly berating his Master for his recklessness.

Indeed, their battle had been excessive — not only sinking an island but also altering the ecological environment of the surrounding sea.

More importantly, the outcome of their clash would unsettle many people.

Though Doni himself didn't manage affairs, the magic users from Southern Europe under his authority were deeply concerned about the result of this battle.

Add to that the wager Doni had lost... It was only natural that Andrea would be so angry.

As Adam was deep in thought, Felsa suddenly appeared before him and said in a low voice, "My King, a new noble guest has arrived!"

"...Noble guest?"

"Yes! It's an envoy from another King (Campione), who has come to visit."

As Adam showed a puzzled expression, Felsa told him who had arrived.

"...It's the disciple of the Ruler of the Martial Realm."
