Surgery Godfather

Chapter 1180: Squabbling (Part 3)

Song Zimo and Xu Zhiliang, as assistants, were so immersed in their cooperation that they forgot the original plan. It wasn't until the surgery was completed that they realized---how is the surgery over already, what about the planned relay?

Fortunately, the remaining task of stitching the skin had not been done yet. Yang Ping handed it over to Song Zimo and Xu Zhiliang, and the two of them were excited, discussing how to split the task of stitching the entire surgical incision, each doing half.

The surgery was completed!

Morris was still in the zone, having been so focused that he forgot the surgery was being performed on his daughter. The initial anxiety, worry, and fear gradually disappeared in the immersion, replaced by concentrated observation of the surgery.

When the surgery ended, he didn't even react: he should be happy and celebrate, should breathe a sigh of relief.

John Ansen reminded him, "The surgery is done. Aren't you going to the operating room door to wait for them to come out?"

Oh dear, his wife was still at the operating room door all this while, and he sat inside, having forgotten to text his wife, immersed in observing the surgery alone.

He immediately picked up his phone and sent a message to his wife: "The surgery was successful, the kids are fine, everything is safe."

"God bless, that's wonderful. I was so worried just now. No one told me about the progress. I kept calling you, sending messages, but you didn't respond." His wife was overjoyed.

"Oh, sorry, I... was too absorbed, my phone was on silent, the whole surgical process is so amazing, truly unparalleled," Morris said happily.

He stood up, greeted John Ansen, and intended to go out to meet his wife, waiting together at the operating room door for their daughters to wake up. But as he pushed the door open, he realized that because he was too immersed in the surgery, his entire brain hadn't returned to normal, unable to adapt to the real environment.

It was like someone watching a movie, immersed in the storyline, and when the movie ends and the lights come on, he is momentarily unable to adjust.

He stood at the door, bewildered, clearly—he was lost.

Dizzy and confused, he turned back: "How embarrassing, how do I get from here to the family waiting area at the operating room door?"

"Wait for me, I need a moment too, let's sit for a while first. In five minutes, I'll take you out," John Ansen wasn't much better off, as he needed to clear his brain too.

Finally, the doctors in the lecture room began to stir, some discussing the surgery, some got up to get water, and others began making phone calls, having watched the surgery but still having work to do.

Five minutes later, John Ansen led Morris out of the lecture room, through the corridor and several doors, arriving at the family waiting area outside the operating room.

Morris's wife was waiting here alone, with no information the whole time, feeling very tormented inside.

And since the surgery went smoothly without any surprises, naturally, no one from the surgery team came out to communicate with the family.

Upon seeing Morris, his wife immediately leapt into his arms.

"Dear, is it true? Are they okay?"

"Very great, they have been separated and their spines corrected, everything is so perfect."

"It's like a dream, dear, pinch my face, pinch hard."

Morris pinched a little bit of his wife's facial skin, symbolically pinching it.

"Harder, pinch hard!"

Morris hesitated for a moment and then pinched hard.

"Oh, dear, it hurts so much!"

Morris's wife covered the pinched area of her face, crying out in pain.

"You pinch me too!" Morris patted his own face.

His wife pinched him hard as well.

This couple pinched each other back and forth several times.

John Ansen quietly left, finding it incredible that this couple was pinching each other so forcefully here, truly a strange endearing habit.

"How long before they come out?"

"About half an hour, they need to wake up and be observed for a while."
