Chapter 1793: The Farmland of the World Melting Furnace
Su Yang was unaware of the many events happening in Capital City. Since he had tricked those people last time, he had been hiding, knowing that many people outside were searching for him.
During this period, Su Yang and Lv Donglin had been hiding inside the World Melting Furnace, both to enhance their cultivation and to wait for this time to pass.
The previous incident had shown Su Yang the determination of the Ling Xiao Pavilion and the Ends of the Earth to kill the Second Elder. Therefore, Su Yang decided not to get too involved, knowing that regardless of his intervention, the people from the Ling Xiao Pavilion and the Ends of the Earth would pursue the Second Elder, Jade-faced Judge, and others. If he interfered, it would only put him in danger.
While hiding inside the World Melting Furnace, Su Yang cultivated while exploring the Furnace alongside Fatty.
The scope of the world inside the World Melting Furnace was vast. In fact, from the excessive gravity surpassing the Human World, it was evident that this world was much larger.
Although Su Yang and others had spent considerable time there, they had only been active in a small area and did not dare venture too far. Even Su Yang did not know what this world contained.
However, after Fatty showed Su Yang the situation in the valley, Su Yang became even more curious about the world.
According to the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book, after being refined, there should be no people inside this world. So, what was the situation with the people in the lake at the bottom of the valley? Could it be that the situation inside the World Melting Furnace was different from what the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book recorded?
Su Yang knew that the records of the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book must be accurate. The only explanation could be that something special had happened inside the World Melting Furnace.
Moreover, after seeing the valleys, Su Yang sensed that Fatty might have some encounter in this world. Thus, he decided to explore this world with Fatty, hoping for some kind of benefit.
Of course, Su Yang was extremely cautious during their exploration. The beasts inside this world were not simple; the Single-horned Wolves he initially encountered were relatively weak, but he absolutely could not underestimate the truly formidable beasts now.
For safety, Su Yang brought Little Turtle and Little Chick along. These two little creatures were extremely powerful in battle, cooperating closely with Su Yang, making them perfect for exploration.
Su Yang and Fatty ventured beyond their usual exploration range, marching deeper into the world.
Throughout their journey, they encountered various situations. For instance, Fatty discovered more than a dozen valleys, each similar to the ones they had seen before.
Su Yang found that as long as the depth of these valleys reached a certain level, a lake would appear. Inside each lake was a person standing, controlling all the Divine Beasts inside the valley, which was very unusual.
Another discovery was that near the valleys, there were no beasts, only abundant plant life. The beasts seemed very afraid of the valleys and dared not approach them.
This discovery made it easier for Su Yang and Fatty to navigate the area. If they encountered a large-scale beast attack, they would immediately seek a nearby valley to escape the assault.
The beasts, hesitant to approach the valleys, would gradually disperse after observing from afar, making Su Yang and Fatty's exploration significantly safer.
After approximately half a month's journey, upon emerging from a wooded area, Su Yang suddenly discovered a large open space ahead.
Fatty continued forward with his head down, but Su Yang immediately stopped, frowning as he surveyed the surroundings.
"What's wrong?" Fatty asked in surprise, "Why aren't we moving?"
Su Yang walked slowly to the vicinity of the open space. The area was vast, roughly equivalent to three or four football fields, covered in various wild grasses. The grasses in this world were robust, about as tall as a person, resembling sorghum.
The area was referred to as an open space mainly because there were no trees growing here. Having traversed much of this world, Su Yang and Fatty had found most areas covered with trees, rarely encountering open spaces covered solely with grasses, especially such a large area.
Su Yang circled the open space and suddenly stepped into the grassy patch, pulling out two weeds and carrying them out.
"What is this?" Fatty curiously asked.
The weeds appeared peculiar, with fist-sized fruits growing in the middle. Each weed was surrounded by dozens of such fruits, making it seem quite abundant.
Su Yang picked one of the fruits, peeled off the outer skin, revealing a white fruit inside. The surface of the fruit was powdery, resembling starch.
"What's this stuff? Can it be eaten?" Fatty curiously inquired.
"It should be edible!" Su Yang replied, "These are called White Grain Fruits, a plant similar to wheat. These White Grain Fruits can be ground into powder, similar to flour, for making various foods!"
"Really?" Fatty exclaimed in disbelief.
Su Yang shrugged; he didn't know about this himself but recognized it from the records in the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book.
"If that's true, we should collect some fruits and try planting them for food!" Fatty laughed, "How about making sandwiches using powder from White Grain Fruits? It must be delicious!"
Su Yang smiled, "These White Grain Fruits were originally a type of crop, planted extensively, similar to our wheat and rice."
"Really!?" Fatty exclaimed with joy, "Then let's gather some and plant them ourselves!"
Su Yang gazed at the open space, speaking softly, "Don't you think this open space looks like an abandoned farm?"
Fatty looked at the open space again, then at the White Grain Fruits in Su Yang's hand, scratching his head, "Now that you mention it, it does look a bit like one!"
Su Yang led Fatty along the perimeter of the open space, and Fatty suddenly discovered that there were stone boundaries around the area. However, these stones were covered by grasses, so they were not visibly apparent until Su Yang's careful observation revealed them. Otherwise, Fatty alone wouldn't have noticed.
