Chapter 30: VIII Mortal Will Armament
Then, after a few seconds calculating the pros and cons, even though he still did not have what his curiosity won in the end, Elijah's eyes flashed with determination and he respectfully called
"Master, disciple awaits his teaching."
Damian was happy and looked at Elijah.
"As I said, this smartphone is yours, this little object has many uses and I'll teach you in the next few days, but first you should know that even though I teach you about things in my world you need to first learn about your world From what I hear, you want to follow the way of magic, right?"
"Yeah."
"So I recommend you to go to the Magic Class three times a week and practice regularly."
"I understand this teacher, but I haven't found a class for any of my affinities."
"This is because you don't have much knowledge about the academy. Magi Classes on the first floor are Fire class, Water class, Earth class and Wind class and you won't find classes for uncommon magic but there is a few teachers that could help you with this. I heard that a new teacher had open a class for lightning, spatial and life elements near the entrance to the second third floor and this teacher seem to be very popular with the students."
"But teacher, why can't you teach me magic?"
Damian's face darken and he seemed a bit embarrassed as he responded.
"hehe ... I'm not from this world, so from what I discovered I'm incompatible with this cultivation of this world, and I use it's magic artifacts and the magic gadgets I make.
Seeing that he had touched on a sad subject for Damian, Elijah said "Oh ... right, sorry teacher I didn't want to hurt you talking about it."
"Who said i'm hurt, take your phone and go."
"Okay, okay, don't be angry." Then Elijah turned and fled.
After Elijah leaving Damian walk to the wall and made a strange hand gesture which opened a secret room.
Inside the room was several screens with all sort of data and research about gods and in the middle of the room was a Red crystal connected to a pedestal.
Damian looked at the crystal and said. "Good, it seems to be nearly charged, maybe I can try it in the next few months."
...
While walking to this class, Elijah was playing with his new phone and after discovering the camera function, he wanted to know if it was possible to take pictures of spell books, or a cultivation manuals to train later but he to test this later as he needed to see the teacher, Damian had said to him.
After registering in the class and entering there there, Elijah saw that the classroom was extremely large and could accommodate more than a hundred students. The classroom was almost full of students who had already arrived and he chose one of the few free seats located relatively a the front of the classroom and sat down.
Seeing more people here than in the welcome ceremony, Elijah sighed to himself.
"It seems this teacher is really popular, there is even students from the second and third years here."
Then Elijah heard some one seating beside him, turning to the side he saw a green-haired girl looking at him.
"Aryanna? I thought you'd be in an alchemy class or enchanting artifacts."
"I had heard about this teacher and had come to see it as I had free time and I also have spatial affinity like you."
"Really?"
"Greetings, everyone." While they were immersed in talking, and beautiful brown-haired lady stood in front of the class. Her face was ageless, neither old or young and she had grey eyes as Elijah.
Seeing this woman, Aryanna eyes shone with a hidden hostility, And the Woman had given her a similar look, but no one had noticed.
"For those of you who are new to my class, I am Emma, and I will teach you your lightning, spatial, and life magic skills. Today, as the class is full, we will do the same as usual, first we will have the call before we begin today's lesson."
This was a basic rule before starting classes. She called out the names of all the students, one by one, while marking who had come to class.
As time passed, Emma was explaining the basic concept of magic, as Elijah was focused on what she was saying.
"Spatial element mages, are the fastest, and the ones with the higher survival rate in the world. In addition, they are the only mage who can teleport even before reaching the 5th Realm!" Emma's words conveyed the love which she felt towards all sorts of magic.
"I will tell to all the newcomers here is probably something most of you never heard, but you all really think the Divine Path are so much stronger than the other Paths? I will tell you the truth, the other two paths is really somewhat weaker than the divine path but this is only before the 5th Realm. When they advance to the next level the Mortal Cultivators gain their [Mortal Will Armaments], the Spirit Cultivators will have their [Spiritual Beasts], and the Divine Cultivators will have the [Divine Wings]."
The she extended her hand and a silver bow appeared on her hand.
"See, I am a Mortal Cultivator in the Mortal Will Realm and this is my Mortal Will Armament, the Starry Sky Bow."
"WOW!" All the children who were young here were with their eyes beginning to shine, as Aryanna snorted seeing Elijah having the same reaction as the others.
But the reason his eyes shined were for another reason.
He remembered the battle he had seen in Cooper Town a few years ago and finally realized that the woman in the dragon was not a divine cultivator but a Spirit Cultivator and is likely that the dragon back then was her spiritual beast. As for the fallen angel, he could be a Divine Cultivator of the darkness element.
Even though Elijah had not seen the true power of a 5th Realm cultivator, he could tell.
This bow on Emma's hand clearly had a terrifying power. And they two he had saw fighting on cooper town was probably not as simple as he had though. At that time if they wanted one move was more than enough to annihilate the entire copper town.
And he came to a conclusion. 'Even if spells are useful, at the end it's only a tool and not part of a person own power. If just a 5th Realm is so powerful, how could I even think about taking Mjöllnir if I am so weak. It seems i have a long way before completing the mission master had given me.'
