Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 493: Fiancee?

Idan immediately remembered a pair of beautiful long legs, and then, remembering the state Milena was in when he saved her, he felt sad.

"How is she?" he asked softly.

"Unlike the others, she's not doing well," Arslan replied.

"How bad is it?" asked Idan, who hadn't seen Milena since he rescued her from captivity.

"She is at the "Genoforge" Center for Genetic Research and Treatment under the constant supervision of doctors," Arslan replied, recalling his last visit to her.

"Her condition is stable and serious. She lost weight, and there were numerous injuries on her body," Arslan continued, feeling a little sad, recalling his recent visit to her.

Arslan's words made Idan return to the moment when he was saving Milena. At that time, she was in a state of violent transformation into something, which he interrupted with his intervention.

Idan wondered how his actions had affected her. He began to doubt whether it was worth saving her, or whether it would be better to leave her there and let her completely transform without interfering, since his intervention not only disrupted the process, but made her almost crippled.

"According to others, Milena does not remember what happened to her or what these creatures of darkness did to her. Doctors and scientists are trying to understand what is happening to her body, which is why she was transferred to this center for genetic research and treatment to study the changes in her body. But so far to no avail," Arslan sighed.

"Arslan," — Idan called. He noticed Arslan's concern about Milena and remembered that he had seen him with her in the city of Rumbus. Idan finally decided to figure it out, so he asked, "Tell me honestly, what is your relationship with Milena?"

Arslan raised his head and looked into Idan's eyes. He was just waiting for this question, bringing up the topic of Milena. Before answering, Arslan looked around and, making sure that no one was around, used his Soul Force so that their conversation would not be overheard.

"Milena is my fiancee," Arslan confessed with these words.

"Your fiancee?" — Idan raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"Yes, my family chose her after a long search for awakened girls. The reason is obvious: it was done in order to establish family ties with the Orleans family," Arslan continued. "Although it has not been officially announced yet, we have been informed about it personally. When I received the assignment from the Association to go North, the family forced Milena to follow me so that we could get to know each other better."

"Don't get me wrong, Idan. I love your sister and only her. But at that time, in order to divert the attention of the family from her and our son, I decided to obey their demand and went North with Milena," Arslan said.

"Milena didn't mind it herself, but it was very difficult for me to pretend to be her fiance," Arslan said with a wry smile. "I did well in the early days, but it got harder and harder every day."

"You saw for yourself how beautiful she is," Arslan said, and Idan nodded in agreement with his words. Without a doubt, Milena was charming.

"I started to notice that something was wrong with Rumbus, and over time my thoughts started to get confused. It was a strange feeling.

It kind of reminded me of your sister's ability to manipulate people's minds, and that's when I got really worried. After all, your sister could read other people's memories if she wanted to. That's why I took action." Arslan paused for a moment.

Arslan's words just now allowed Idan to gain some insight into his older sister's System.

"Then I asked my System to seal some of my memories of Irene and my son so that they wouldn't be exposed. But it played a cruel trick on me."

"Let me guess, without the memories of Irene and your son, did you start caring for Milena?" suggested Idan, trying to figure out what happened next.

Arslan nodded sheepishly.

"I screwed up specifically. I've always believed that I'm not capable of such a thing, and I'll be careful with other women besides my older sister. But it seems that the experience of communicating with Irene has changed me a lot, and I did not notice how it happened," he confessed.

Then, noticing Idan's strange expression, Arslan hurried to add:

"No need to speculate, Idan, Milena and I didn't even have a kiss. Although she did not object to her family's decisions, as the direct heir, she behaved with restraint and responded cautiously to my advances."

Arslan, remembering everything that had happened between him and Milena, felt deeply guilty towards Irene. But he was also very grateful to Milena for her restraint.

From what followed, Idan learned that his System's seal remained active for some time after their abduction. When Arslan woke up inside the cage, he already remembered Irene and his son.

All this time, Arslan's thoughts were in turmoil. When Idan appeared in front of him and mentioned his relationship with Milena, when his own memories were hidden, Arslan felt a slight panic. He didn't know how to properly explain everything to Idan, because Idan was Irene's younger brother. Arslan was afraid that Idan and his sister would not believe his words.

But when it was over, Arslan had plenty of time to reflect on what had happened.

"Upon my return, I learned the details of what happened to Milena and her condition. I found the time and visited her," Arslan confessed. "And, as I said before, I saw not the beautiful girl she was before, but a thin, wounded and weak girl lying silently in a hospital bed."

"She only glanced at me and didn't say anything," Arslan was perplexed to see her like this. "I didn't spend much time there, but I noticed that apart from the doctors, there was no one from her family there. She was completely alone."

Idan wondered how the beings of Light from the Association reacted to Milena when they heard the details about her condition. And yes, Idan was one hundred percent sure that the news should have reached them.

After all, Milena's body had undergone changes under the influence of the creatures of darkness, and for the creatures of Light, given their dislike of the creatures of Darkness, she had to become a kind of "tumor" that needed to be eliminated.

"And what do you want from me?" asked Idan, already realizing that Arslan had raised the issue of Milena for a reason.

"I was wondering if you and my sister could help her," Arslan asked bluntly.

"I didn't bring up Milena's issue before because I doubted that if no one else could help her, then neither could you. But over the past couple of days, you've shown so many incredible and amazing things that in the end I thought, if anyone can help her, it's you."
