Chapter 474: Felicia Daily
"How is Felicia?" — Idan remembered wanting to ask Hailey about it as soon as she showed up.
"Ah!" — Hailey exclaimed, standing up abruptly. "I completely forgot about it! I came out to tell you that she's awake."
This time, it didn't surprise Idan and Arabel. They just looked at each other and shook their heads.
"Bring her here," Arabel told Hailey, and when she heard this, she hurried to her room.
All this time, a Sphere of Secret Concealment was rotating in the living room, which made it so that the Soul Forces did not work in this area, and no one could see or hear what was happening in Idan and Arabel's room.
"Where's Coco?" Arabel asked when she discovered the fox cub was missing.
Hearing the question, Idan began to look around, but the fox cub was nowhere to be seen.
"She was here when you came," Idan remembered.
"Did she disappear with Hailey's arrival?" — Arabel asked, glancing at Idan, and their eyes widened.
"Couldn't Coco have gone to her?" they both thought.
Hailey was the first to enter the kitchen with a slight smile on her face. She was followed by a second woman with long red hair and a tired, depressed, and somewhat panicked look. There was a fox cub sitting on top of her head, which was playfully pulling her hair.
"Coco," — Arabel called.
Upon hearing her name, Coco looked up and looked at Arabel, a wide smile on her face, expressing joy.
The others could tell by the look on Felicia's face that, unlike the fox cub, she wasn't in the mood for fun.
"Get off, Coco," — Arabel said, and Coco's smile froze. "I said get off."
Coco hesitated for a bit, but when she saw that her mistress's gaze was becoming a little threatening, she jumped off Felicia's head, giving her a chance to catch her breath.
"Thank you, Miss Elsa," Felicia said softly, without looking up at Arabel.
"Sit down," Arabel said, pointing to a chair as Idan began to serve dinner for her.
As soon as Felicia smelled the food, her stomach rumbled loudly. She looked down, embarrassed by this reaction.
"Shi-shi-shi," — Coco rasped, sitting on the sidelines and laughing at Felicia's antics.
"Eat," — Arabel repeated, and as if obeying her words, Felicia, albeit with a little hesitation, took the spoon. She scooped up some food and took the first sip. Her eyes widened, and for a moment she froze, as if she had fallen out of reality. In fact, at first, the abundance of taste hit her taste buds, and then mana seemed to overwhelm her body, making her freeze. For a while, her brain seemed to lose touch with her body, and only when the first reaction passed did she regain control of her body.
Felicia couldn't find the words to describe what she had just felt.
She took another look at the prepared dish, inhaled its aroma and, without hesitation, tasted the second spoonful. Then a third, and so, one by one, she began to devour the food, savoring every bite.
Unlike Hailey, Felicia took her time, knowing that the food wouldn't run away. On the contrary, she carefully evaluated each piece, trying to prolong the pleasure.
"Phew..." Felicia breathed out in disappointment, finishing the last piece and realizing that it was all over.
Everyone silently watched her reaction. Arabel was watching especially closely. Felicia was the third person who tried their cooking. The first two were Aliya and Hailey, who even got into a fight over leftovers in the end.
Now, seeing that even a woman like Felicia was impressed by their culinary skills, Arabel was even more eager to develop her cooking skills and promote cooking.
"Felicia," — Arabel said. "You probably already know what happened to you?"
"Yes, I know," Felicia nodded.
She could not even imagine that she would be under the gaze of a being with a powerful fox bloodline, and that her own weak bloodline, being influenced by this power, would cause her so much trouble.
To get rid of this influence, she had to become a subordinate of this creature. And this creature, in fact, turned out to be a little fox with a mischievous character.
"Although you probably already know Coco, let me introduce her anew," Arabel said, walking over to Coco and picking her up.
"This is Coco, our little scoundrel, a photographer, a scout, a thief and a big lover of sweets."
Coco raised her head and tried to look at Arabel, as if she resented being called a thief.
"And now you're her subordinate," — Arabel said with a smile. "Since Coco is our pet, you therefore become our subordinate."
"Isn't that right, Coco?" — Arabel asked, looking at her friend.
Coco initially wanted to object because of her usual stubbornness, but when she saw the familiar smile on Arabel's face, she quickly changed her mind. She nodded vigorously, agreeing with Arabel.
Felicia didn't know how to react to the current situation.
"Phew..." she gasped, as if giving up and accepting her new fate.
"I get it." Felicia lowered her eyes.
"Hey hey!" — Arabel exclaimed, noticing Felicia's dejection. "Don't despair so early!"
"I thought you'd be happy," Arabel said uncertainly, looking first at Coco and then at Idan. "Am I wrong?"
"Felicia," Idan, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke up. "Tell me, Felicia, after you woke up, did you notice any changes in yourself?"
Felicia raised her head after hearing Idan's words and stared at him intently.
"I'm asking if you've noticed any changes in yourself?" Idan repeated his question.
Only then did Felicia begin the examination, starting with her own body. However, no matter how closely she looked, she couldn't find any changes.
Then she decided to check her status in the System.
Her name is Felicia Daily, her age is 21, and her gender is female.
However, in the next moment, her status was already different:
Race: Human — 70%; Fox-kin — 30%.
Then, looking at the next line in her status, Felicia froze.
Bloodline: Red Fox (Spatial Fox bloodline is available for replacement)
"A Spatial Fox?" — Felicia exclaimed, attracting everyone's attention.
"And an affinity for the elements of space!" — she noted with even greater surprise, glancing at the next line.
Elements: Fire (Space)
"A Spatial Fox? And the element of space?" everyone exclaimed after hearing Felicia's words. All except the little fox, who just grinned, watching their reactions.
